Greece and Ukraine have launched a new natural gas import route aimed at reducing dependence on Russian energy. Announced by Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Athens, the move gives Ukraine access to diversified gas supplies while positioning Greece as a growing LNG hub for Europe. The agreement fits into the broader US-EU energy cooperation and new LNG import plans.
