00:00At least one game kind of went the way that we thought it would go, Vinny,

00:02as San Francisco ends up beating Atlanta last night, in case you missed it.

00:06A really good game plan put together by the 49ers defense.

00:09They seem to be getting healthier as they pick up the win,

00:12as the 20-10 is the final there.

00:15And, I mean, through it all, it's kind of interesting, Vinny,

00:18that you think about the last two years of the NFL with San Francisco

00:21not having Christian McCaffrey.

00:23Now that he is back and playing at a very high level,

00:26it's kind of nuts that they really don't need anyone else, right?

00:30Like the receivers aren't there, they throw to him.

00:33No Mason, doesn't matter, hand the ball off to him.

00:35When he's on the field, he's one of the few difference makers

00:38out of the backfield in the NFL.

00:40Yeah, I think the focus has been on all their other key injuries,

00:44starting with Brock Purdy and Brandon Aiyuk and going down the line.

00:48But a couple things have happened here.

00:50Number one is the two most important guys on offense still there.

00:54Trent Williams, the left tackle, and Christian McCaffrey.

00:57If they're out on the field, they're going to have a chance to beat anyone

00:59and move the ball and do what they need to do.

01:02Then the other side, look, I don't know how they keep finding these guys,

01:06but it seems like there's always somebody to step up.

01:09I mean, this kid Bethune that they had, he was playing a lot like Fred Warner out there.

01:13Like, their systems are great, and I think the personnel is fitting the system well.

01:18So I think Robert Salo, look, as much heat as he got with the Jets,

01:22this is his sweet spot, calling the defense for the 49ers

01:26and getting them in position.

01:28This was his best job, and you see it continue to happen.

01:31And look, you're going to ride McCaffrey as much as possible

01:33when you don't have your receivers and your quarterback,

01:36and you're seeing that until teams can stop that

01:39and until he slows down at all, you're going to keep riding that,

01:43and this is a big reason maybe why the 49ers are going to be

01:47in strong playoff position without all these guys.
