00:54Garcia from Telesur Studios in Havana, Cuba. We begin with the news.
01:17Israel has violated the ceasefire agreement with Palestine in at least 80 occasions with
01:23multiple attacks on Gaza that have killed at least 97 people. According to the
01:28government media office in the Gaza Strip, so far there have been 80 documented
01:33cases of ceasefire violations by Israel which includes direct gunfire targeting
01:39civilians, the use of fire belts and arrests. The newest attacks resulted in the
01:45death of at least five Palestinians and several injuries mainly in the towns of

02:13discuss the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. During the meeting, the United Nations' Secretary
02:17informed President Abbas about the difficult conditions in the enclave and detailed the
02:24United Nations' efforts to deliver aid to citizens. The Palestinian leader thanked him for the
02:28message and emphasized the indispensable role of ONRA, which is the United Nations' agency
02:32for refugees in delivering aid to Gaza and the West Bank. Finally, the Palestinian leader reaffirmed
02:39the State of Palestine's willingness to assume full responsibility in the Gaza Strip.
02:44Amid global climate challenges, China presents an example of environmental restoration in Lake Boston, which is flourishing
02:51again after years of degradation. Bruno Falsi, our correspondent in Beijing, brings us more details.
02:58Greetings to the colleagues of TELESUR. I am here in the Chinese capital, this time to inform the
03:05people of TELESUR.
03:06about the transformation of the Boston Lake in the Xinjiang-Ulgur Autonomous Region.
03:13I am here in the Chinese capital, this time to inform you about the transformation of the Boston Lake in the Xinjiang-Ulgur Autonomous Region.
03:19The country's largest freshwater lake. Xinjiang is one of the driest areas in China, but this lake has become an oasis where life thrives and
03:26lives and lives and lives and lives and lives and lives and lives and lives.
03:31And so, I am here in the Chinese capital, this time to inform you about the transformation of the Boston Lake in the Xinjiang-Ulgur Autonomous Region,
03:37the country's largest freshwater lake. Xinjiang is one of the driest areas in China, but this lake has become an oasis where life
03:48thrives and is today the region's main fishing base. More than a decade ago, it was completely different.
03:57Boston Lake faced a serious environment crisis, industrial pollution and water levels at historical lows.
04:07To reverse this situation, the government water-water diversed from nearby rivers and sending more than 50 billion
04:17cubic meters of water into the lake. Today, the lake maintains a healthy level and is home to more than 30 species of fish,
04:30with an annual catch of 6,000 tons, almost the double of the previous amount. Fishermen are also actively involved in conservation,
04:43releasing juvenile fish and reintroducing fry. With water quality remains stable and at a good level.
04:52The lake recovery has also boosted regional tourism and reflects the success of Xinjiang water management. Since 2021, the region has invested
05:07approximately 22 billion dollars in water infrastructure, achieving rural drinking water coverage for 99% of the population.
05:22With this news, we return to the studio of La Habana, Cuba.
05:28We move on to other information. The Russian government reaffirmed its willingness to expand cooperation with Iran in all fields following the completion of the 2015 nuclear agreement.
05:41Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a friend and partner of Moscow and that their relations are developing dynamically.
05:51The spokesman reiterated that he is aware of the pressure from the West against Teheran once the bilateral agreements are renewed,
05:59and said that action against the Iranian people should not be excessive.
06:03Peskov also pointed out that the joint comprehensive plan of action on the nuclear program is in a difficult situation,
06:12which is getting worse as Europe takes a harder line against Iran.
06:22And now we have a short break coming up. First, remember, you can join us on TikTok at Telesur English,

06:33Welcome back to From the South. In Ecuador, the government of Daniel Labo announced the suspension of dialogue with indigenous sectors,
06:50justifying that conditions are not favorable. A statement issued by the head of government explained that the reason for this decision is based on impositions
06:59that break the word of what was previously agreed upon, as well as changes in the parties to the discussion and the initial commitments.
07:08In the same document, the government warned that there are no conditions for dialogue, adding that it will not accept pressure or blackmail.
07:17The announcement of the end of the dialogue comes amid growing tensions in several provinces of the country due to the national strike,
07:24which has been harshly repressed by police forces.
07:31In this scenario, the national strike reached its fifth consecutive week following the government's announcement of the suspension of negotiations with indigenous organizations.
07:41Let's recall that indigenous peoples and unions continue their resistance on the roads with a partial closure of several avenues.
07:49In Babura, Pichincha, Cotopaxi and Loja are blocked by demonstrators demanding that the request be met by national authorities.
07:59In this regard, the protesters demanded a reduction in VAT to 12%, investment in social projects and guarantees for the country's agricultural production.
08:14In Bolivia, the candidate of the Christian Democratic Party, Rodrigo Paz Pereira, was elected president according to official data from the preliminary results system, Quick Count.
08:25The Supreme Electoral Court of Bolivia announced the preliminary official results of the quick count of votes that declared Rodrigo Paz Pereira as the winner of the second presidential round with 54.61% of valid votes.
08:41While the far-right candidate Jorge Tuto Quiroga of the Free Alliance Party obtained 45.39% of the votes.
08:48And in that sense, the elected president will take office on November 8th.
08:54Now that he has been elected president of Bolivia, let's learn a little more about Rodrigo Paz Pereira, son of former president Jaime Paz Zamora, whose term was consolidated with the support of dictator Hugo Banzer and began his political career in 2002.
09:15His subsequent municipal administration was marked by allegations of corruption and controversial public works.
09:24He was a clear promoter of the destabilization that led to the coup against Evo Morales and supported the regime of Yanin Áñez, responsible for the Senkata and Sacaba massacres.
09:35His government proposal, the 50-50 agenda, is criticized for being a mechanism to suffocate the central government financially and weaken its ability to implement unitary social policies.
09:48In essence, his project seeks to revive the neoliberal policies that deepened inequality and surrendered national sovereignty to foreign capital in the past.
09:58And the Central Bank of Argentina established an exchange rate stabilization agreement with the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
10:11And according to the Argentine Banking Institution, the economic measure, approved with $20 billion, seeks to reinforce the country's monetary policy in a context of economic crisis.
10:25The agreement was reached just six days before the legislative elections, where polls protect the defeat of the ruling Liberty Advances Party.
10:34And in this regard, U.S. President Donald Trump made his support for the country conditional on the outcome of the elections.

11:15Welcome back to From the South.
11:17In the United States, mercenary Jordan Goudreau, mastermind of the failed Operation Hideon, confirmed that the so-called Los Soles Cartel was created by the CIA in the 1990s.
11:28Goudreau dismantled the imperial narrative that accuses Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro of heading an alleged drug trafficking organization, pointing out that it was the U.S. government that founded and also before the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution.
11:45Goudreau referred to the name of Los Soles Cartel as a joke, explaining it came from a patch on the uniform and was imposed by agencies such as the DEA.
11:57The mercenary pointed out that regardless of who occupies the White House, the ultimate goal is to protect the flows of resources derived from these illicit operations and maintain the regemony in the region.
12:09In the 90s, Cartel de Soles was stood up by the CIA.
12:16This is no secret.
12:17I mean, this is the truth.
12:18I mean, this is the cartel which Nicolas Maduro is said to be in charge of, but may be actually defunct.
12:25And you're confirming that it was set up by the CIA in the 90s.
12:30Well, absolutely.
12:31This is not, we've known this for quite some time.
12:37In addition, the U.S. mercenary Jordan Goudreau stated that the White House and various transnational governments are funding coup plots against the Venezuelan executive.
12:48So you have the intelligence community folks with the FBI and the DEA and Venezuelan opposition folks, and then you have the element like my team that was trying to actually do the work as being hired by and directed by the Trump administration.
13:10And then the third component is the global governments.
13:12These are the guys who hired me.
13:14Their intent or their piece in this was they wanted business contracts.
13:21And so they wanted a way to monetize, I suppose, the aftermath of a Maduro-free Venezuela.
13:31And on Sunday, evidence was revealed about the deal reached between El Salvador President Nayib Bukele and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to kidnap migrants in concentration camps in the Central American nation.
13:45According to information revealed by the Washington Post, Secretary Rubio agreed with Bukele to hand over nine gang members who were in the custody of the U.S. Department of Justice.
13:57The criminals have information that compromises the Salvadoran president and his program to combat violence.
14:03According to media sources, the U.S. Secretary of State used his knowledge of Spanish to create confusion in Pan Bondi's department, which allegedly dismissed the work of hundreds of experts who helped Rubio fulfill the agreement with President Bukele.
14:18And in other topics,
14:24President Nicolás Maduro commemorates 13 years since the strike at the helm legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez to promote the Bolivarian revolution.
14:33On Telegram, President Maduro stated, 13 years after the strike at the helm, the validity of the dreams, theory and guidelines left to us by Commander Chávez are undeniable.
14:45At that crucial moment, he entrusted me with the most important mission of the revolution, saying to me,
14:54Nicholas, I entrusted the communes to you as I would in my own life.
14:58That gesture was an act of deep education and supreme...
15:05...of the idea of people's power, of empowerment, and he turned our innate rebellion against imperialism into a creative and emancipating force.
15:19That is why his mantra, commune or nothing, is the unscapable horizon.
15:26It is about building a new civilization deeply humane and anchored in the values of our roots, which requires constant criticism and self-criticism to address and solve the problems of the people.
15:39The strike at the helm is, therefore, the masterful path to building participatory and protagonistic democracy.
15:47The political model of the 21st century that buried the failed and exhausted democracy of the elites.
15:54Commander Chávez, today we say, with the certainty of victory, do not drift away into the sea.
16:00Here is your homeland, your people, and we are moving forward firm and strong towards the great goals of our Bolivarian socialism.
16:10Commune or nothing, that's the mission.
16:30And we have visited now Caracas to meet its people, to learn about its culture and also its cuisine.
16:39If you are curious to know what life is like in 2025 in the capital city, join us in this new report from Venezuela on the Move.
16:47Details with Álvaro Fragua from Caracas.
16:51The walls of Caracas speak, with every stroke, their artists reclaim history, struggles, and popular memory.
16:57Here, art is not hung in galleries, it is experienced on every corner.
17:01We try to make the walls speak, to make the walls tell a story, to make the walls inspire us, and at the same time shape us as citizens.
17:10Because many people are unaware of their history.
17:12And also, we work in many community spaces, so there are spaces that are dedicated to children or rather to free play and imagination.
17:21There are hundreds of murals, but Victor advocates for a city free of gentrification, insisting that space should not be placed at the service of tourists.
17:29He also highlights the solidarity of peoples against imperialism.
17:33So we are reflecting here what the struggle is and the support as Venezuelans for the Palestinian struggle, because the Palestinian struggle is our struggle.
17:41From Bolivar Square, the historical heart of the city, one can understand the blend of past, present, and future that defines Caracas.
17:50Despite the daily threats from the US administration, you can feel the tranquility in the air.
17:55Caracas has been a city with its people, which has had peace and inner peace, but is always alert to any circumstance that may arise.
18:10In other words, today we are in this moment calm.
18:16Anyone can be reading as I am, but we are convinced that if something troublesome arises, we will go out and fight back.
18:25After the necessary stop to enjoy one of the best coffees in the world, we climbed up to the popular neighborhood of San Agustin, where the views and creativity become dazzling.
18:34There, we met Lissandro, who invited us to an afternoon of rumba.
18:39If you want come here on Friday so you can see after 6pm down there, in San Agustin del Sur, so you can see the joy that is there.
18:48The residents of this neighborhood have their own tune, but with regard to Trump's threats, they are in harmony with the general feeling of the capital.
18:57Well, we're getting on with our lives, and it's not that we're worried, we're just preparing ourselves, and we're ready for whatever comes.
19:06We're here, ready to defend this land, even if it costs us our lives.
19:12La Candelaria is one of the best areas to savor Caracas. The contrast between sweet corn and salty cheese makes cauchapa, one of the most beloved dishes among Caracas residents. But there are many more unforgettable recipes.
19:27Well, for my taste, the rib soup, or the chicken soup, which is the most familiar, and the arepas, which should not be missing from the Venezuelan table, and, therefore, the cauchapa.
19:45After trying this delicious snack, all that's left is to get ready for an afternoon of party.
19:50And we stay in Venezuela. On Monday, in the country, hundreds of faithful gathered at the José Gregorio Hernández Sanctuary following canonization.
20:12In the town of Isnotu, where José Gregorio Hernández's house was located, a shrine has been erected in his honor and welcomed hundreds of Venezuelans grateful for the miracles of the now saint.
20:24In this place, people express their gratitude through floral offerings and pilgrimages as a gesture of devotion.
20:31Let's recall that on Sunday, the canonization of José Gregorio Hernández Sanctuary was held in Vatican City, a ceremony that honored two figures who are symbols of faith for the Bolivarian nation.
20:44And with this information, we have come to the end of this brief. Remember, you can find this and many other stories on our website at www.telesereenglish.net.
