00:00when you're going through prison uh and through the process it's you're angry throughout the
00:08process when you get to prison it's sobering but what really did it for me was being in solitary
00:16confinement in the special housing unit of fci ferritin for 41 days that broke me it put me in
00:24a position where i had to start reliving and and almost like a movie of my whole life in the
00:31former years of how i ended up in this position and obviously religion plays its big role on it i
00:38mean i really atone i would say with my own religious beliefs and square that away um with
00:45god but most importantly it was the mental health aspect of it i learned that the hate that and that
00:53the poison that hate is wrecked me wrecked my whole life lying being duplicitous disingenuous
01:02obfuscating none of that is worth it it's like what was i doing i look back at past statements
01:07and i'm embarrassed i'm embarrassed that i allowed myself to be so consumed with hate that i put
01:12myself in this position so now it's about purpose and i found a purpose and that purpose is helping
01:19troubled youth hoping prison reform so people can actually be rehabilitated so prison itself was
01:26angering but solitary confinement for 41 days and being completely dehumanized really is where you
01:35put everything into perspective george i've heard you say that you felt like that 41 days that you spent
01:42in solitary um was completely unwarranted um and that you were placed there out of some
01:49revenge by the warden um why why do you feel like the warden had it out for you i was documenting my
01:56prison journey and that was what it was supposed to be but i started finding so many irregularities
02:01from black mold to expired food to money being misappropriated and taken away from prisoners
02:08rehabilitation process uh while the warden is buying 85 inch multiple thousands of dollar tvs for her
02:15private office so that that's i started writing about it so an opportunity arose when an old death
02:22threat that was investigated back in 23 like the countless others hundreds of death threats that i had
02:28the capitol police had investigated this unfounded uncorroborated threat that there was a conspiracy
02:33with powerful elite politicals and socialites that wanted to kill me but they never actually did
02:41because it was fake but now all of a sudden they were going to break into prison to kill me i've
02:45heard of breaking out of prison guys but breaking into prison i find it to be very hard to believe
02:49so when that was presented i told them this is this has been dismissed before investigated it's not
02:54credible they said no this is credible so they were saying this was for your protection that they
02:59were putting you in there they called it protective custody although protective custody in the eyes
03:06of fci ferritin's warden is the same as disciplinary custody so i was denied contact with my family
03:13one phone call every 30 days for 15 minutes one visit every 30 days uh in shackles meaning my belly uh
03:22my my uh chain around my belly with handcuffs and my feet cuffed behind plexiglass like i'm jack the
03:28reaper or whatever fictional you can imagine uh hannibal lecter murderer uh and then to add
03:35insult to injury um i was denied medicine i was denied my inhaler for 24 hours i have a voice i have
03:43a platform to come here with tmz and go on every other network and talk about it and write a column
03:49that the president of the united states finally saw there are 250 000 americans in federal custody now
03:56that are practically silenced as late as august the president was asked about the possibility of
04:01pardoning you and he said he had not heard anything about it hadn't come to his attention
04:05so someone between august and now clearly went to him and made this suggestion do you have any idea
04:13who was your advocate you know what it took a village it's a lot of people friends uh activists uh supporters
04:21of mine if you look through the internet i've been trying to catch up for the last three months of what the
04:26activity was there were uh multiple people all over the country any current congress members of
04:32congress it would seem marjorie taylor green played a part in this not just marjorie look marjorie was
04:38phenomenal to my family my husband loves marjorie taylor green for her guidance her counsel and her
04:43mental health support she gave him as a human being i know everybody wants to jump into rhetoric to go
04:49create but it wasn't just marjorie marjorie did her part you had lauren bober you had tim burgeon
04:55anna paulina you had ed martin alice johnson rick runnell matt gate you had so many other people
05:01countless other people who are literally not in in public office so it wasn't one person but yes it
05:07was an absolute surprise to me and my family we were not giving a heads up tv was on msnbc and the
05:12chyron said something along the lines of disgraced former new york republican george santos being commuted
05:17trump set to have him released immediately i thought it was a joke i i can't turn back and say
05:24i had a bad experience with the inmates at the camp at fci ferriton i mean we you know people have
05:30difference of opinions but overall we're all human beings and we're just trying to you know do what we
05:35had to do i'm gonna say you were very concerned before you went in about violence and that you were
05:41going to be harmed that you would be attacked assaulted in in some way and and you were you
05:47made the whole point of saying i'm not suicidal in case something happens to me was there ever a moment
05:53when you were in prison where you thought where you did fear something was going to happen to you
05:57i fear for my mental health um i i crumbled under isolation um decades of hard work um came
06:06rapidly crumbling down um being denied my prescribed vivence that i've been on for many many years for my
06:17add um back pain medication due to some discs that i have that are herniated um all denied by by the
06:25medical facility uh fci ferriton coupled with the isolation really did a number on me i feared for
06:32my mental health and stability while i was in the shoe for sure
