00:00is a legitimate MVP candidate.
00:02I don't know if he'll win it.
00:03Long season to play.
00:05We'll see where it goes.
00:06But he is playing the quarterback position
00:07as well as anyone in the sport of football right now.
00:11As Jason McCourty said on the broadcast,
00:13he's never seen anyone as efficient on the deep balls
00:17as Drake May right now.
00:19And I said to you, Fitzy, last night
00:21on the Six Rings post-game show,
00:23it's almost like we're getting punked.
00:24It's almost laughable at this point where you're like,
00:27is this staged?
00:28Is this rigged?
00:29Is The Matrix or one of those movies,
00:31is this all a big scam and a setup?
00:34And it isn't.
00:35Drake May is just on a heater of epic proportions right now.
00:39And you notice there was a commercial at one point,
00:42a national ad.
00:43He's becoming a superstar before our eyes.
00:46Superstar in the making, Drake May.
00:48Yeah, straight up.
00:49Everybody knows his name at this point.
00:51It's not just about Pat's fan love.
00:53It's not about local Boston or New England media love.
00:56This is straight up a household.
00:59He's a household name.
01:01He is legitimately a name that everybody knows.
01:03Since football is king and it's the most dominant form of entertainment
01:06in the United States,
01:08if you watch football,
01:09if you know ball,
01:11you know Drake May.
01:12And you know that this guy is on an absolute rip right now.
01:16And here's the crazy thing.
01:17I don't even think we've seen the best of him yet.
01:19I don't even think we've seen the best of him
01:21or the best of this offense by any stretch.
01:23Well, you may have seen some of the best statistically
01:26because he did break a record for best completion percentage
01:29in a single game held by Tom Brady like five times.
01:32All the ones right before Drake May in the record book say,
01:34Tom Brady, Tom Brady, Tom Brady, Tom Brady, different games.
01:37But you're right.
01:38He is only, what, now three games into his second season
01:42as a starting quarterback
01:43and getting better by leaps and bounds.
01:46I thought yesterday, aside from the head,
01:49and we'll get into that a little bit later,
01:50we'll get into that with him.
01:52He ran the ball as effectively as you'll ever see.
01:54It was like, oh, the pocket's breaking down.
01:56I'll just run up the middle
01:57and then slide for 10 yards in a first down.
01:59I think he had nine for 60 something.
02:01It was as efficient a day
02:03as you can probably have at the quarterback position.
02:06It really was.
