00:01Again for episode 3. I love how the Believe Podcast is coming up. I love the positive
00:08messages coming from the Believe Podcast. Here we are again. Guys, I love how I'm touching
00:17your lives and I cannot wait for us to get into the new year. The new year is coming.
00:21I hope you know. 2026 is on its way. We're almost there. We're almost at the end of the
00:27list and there's a special finale episode in the new year. So that is some news to you
00:35guys. But let me, let's not, you know, count our eggs before the, let's not, you know, let's
00:40not die before death and let's move into what we have in store for today. So the facade of
00:48perfection and authenticity and honesty in line of is social media, you know, ruining our
00:54lives and social media often presents a curated version. It often presents a curated version
01:00of people's life, hiding imperfections and struggles. Yes, it does. It does. That's, that's
01:05honesty. It does. And the Bible encourages us to be honest and authentic in our relationships
01:11in Ephesians 4 verse 15. Let's explore the importance of authenticity in our online interactions.
01:17The pressure to, you know, to present a perfect image can lead to feelings of guilt, shame
01:24and anxiety. The Bible reminds us that we are all imperfect and in need of God's grace
01:29in Romans 3 verse 23. Let's discuss how to balance sharing our lives online with the need
01:34to be authentic and honest. Being vulnerable and honest online can lead to a deeper connection
01:39and community. The Bible encourages us to bear one another's burdens, Galatians 6 verse
01:443 verse 23. Let's explore how to create a safe and supportive online community where
01:48we can be our authentic selves. How do you feel when you see others presenting
01:52a perfect image on social media? Do you feel the pleasure to present a perfect image online?
01:58How can you cultivate authenticity and honesty in your online interactions? The Bible reminds
02:02us that God sees our hearts and loves us despite our imperfections in 1st Samuel 16 verse
02:077. Let's try to be authentic and honest in our online interactions, reflecting God's love
02:13and grace to those around us. And let me use this momentum to talk about some of the things
02:19that worry me. You have some, and I'm going to dive away from the biblical thing now. You
02:26have some influencers or some people who they say that their audience is their family, but
02:34at the same time you are not honest with your audience. That thing, because you don't want
02:41your audience that trusts you, that loves everything about you, everything you show there. And by
02:47the time they go, they see another side of you that other people are exposing. There are some
02:53people, there are some influencers now that are broken because of what other people have exposed
02:56to them. And that could have been managed or been avoided if they were just honest from the
03:03way. I have some influencers that I followed that I loved a lot when I was younger. Oh,
03:09and the boy, I loved them with everything. I think they were my people because they had made us so,
03:16they were like our family and we were also their family. That's how they painted it. But now that
03:21I've grown older, I'm now a teenager, I've now seen some, I've now heard of some things that we were doing
03:28behind the scenes that really, that really made me believe why. Why? Because I, I felt so much trust
03:37for them. No, I felt so much trust for them. And by the time I find that, I found that out,
03:45I was, I was broken. I was like, why? That was also one of the reasons why I hadn't worked on any
03:51projects this year because I was, I was trying to understand why. I was trying to picture my why.
03:59So, what I'm trying to encourage of you today is to be honest with your audience. If you want to
04:06become an influencer, that's fine. Nobody is saying you do not become an influencer. Become an influencer,
04:10but be honest with your audience. If you have imperfections, don't let your audience find
04:15it out from somebody else. Let them find it out from you. Let them find it out from you.
04:18Let them find it out from you. You are the one that will tell your audience the truth, not somebody else.
04:27Anyways, that's all I have to say today. This is episode three of the second pack of a social
04:36media reading our lives, the social media paradox. It's been lovely talking with you guys,
04:40and I will see you in the next episode. Thank you.
