00:00For the canonization ceremony of the two first Venezuelan saints, let's go with our correspondent Jorge Estoso for the latest details.
00:09Thank you. We are here at the Vatican at the eve of a historic event, the canonization of two Venezuelans.
00:19We're talking about Jose Gregorio Hernandez and Carmen Rendiles.
00:25The two of them are going to be the first saints that are going to be part of the history of the Vatican and also the history of Venezuela itself.
00:36Many Venezuelans were coming especially to witness that part of the history, people coming from all over the place.
00:45Some of them, we were talking to them, a group of women, for example, that were coming from Trujillo, the city where Jose Gregorio was born.
00:54So definitely very, very proud of the presence in this ceremony that is going to be presided by Leo XIV, the Pope,
01:04but also the attendance of other members of the church, some of them priests from Venezuela.
01:12And most definitely what we were witnessing today is a sense of pride, a sense of joy, a sense of celebrations in the street in the San Pietro Square here.
01:24The ceremony is going to be outside. So it's going to be at the square itself.
01:30The attendance at least 50,000 to 100,000 people. So it's going to be a massive, definitely ceremony that is going to be witnessed by people here, but also it's going to be broadcasted by the Vatican TV.
01:47So through Telesur, we're going to be witnessing the whole thing starting early tomorrow and throughout the whole thing.
