00:00What looks like an ordinary exercise routine represents more than just strength to 31-year-old Tiffany Adams.
00:13At age 17, Adams' life changed forever.
00:16She was involved in a vehicle head-on collision.
00:19Adams was hit by a drunk driver at 132 miles per hour.
00:23Everyone was pronounced dead at the scene.
00:25Doctors gave her family a 5% chance of survival.
00:29And I remember saying, Daddy, I can't feel my legs.
00:31Like, what's going on?
00:32And he's like, let me just show you where you've been living.
00:36After 30 hours of surgery on her body and being in a coma for three weeks, Tiffany made a speedy recovery.
00:43She then moved to Hollywood, where she became a reality TV star.
00:48And the show is called Push Girls, and it shows the lives of four dynamic women
00:54and the ups and the downs that we went through living in Los Angeles in a wheelchair.
01:00Tiffany keeps her spirits high and a positive outlook in life.
01:04Although she's in a wheelchair, Tiffany is almost as independent as anyone else.
01:09Like, okay, I'm going to start college.
01:11And I'm like, oh, my God, my dad can't drive me to college my first day.
01:14Like, that's going to be so embarrassing, right?
01:16You're already in a wheelchair.
01:18Like, that's how I was thinking then, you know?
01:21And so I was like, I have to pass this test.
01:24So I went to the DMV, never had driven with a hand control ever, and the first time I failed.
01:30The second time, I'm like, oh, my gosh, I have a week before I start college.
01:33You have to pass.
01:35So I went back and got in, and I knew I had made some mistakes.
01:40I pulled back up, and I'm like anticipating what he's going to say, fail or pass, right?
01:44The guy looks at me, and he goes, my wife's in a wheelchair.
01:48You're going to figure it out.
01:50And he passed me.
01:51Although Tiffany was a personal trainer in Northern California, she became more self-conscious
01:56about her appearance when she moved to L.A.
01:59And you would think she would have her own personal trainer.
02:02But everything she does, she taught herself.
02:05You know you can make a gym anywhere you're at.
02:07Like, you could just do dips in your chair, you know what I mean?
02:11Her fitness regimen varies from day to day.
02:14She practices yoga and other modified movements.
02:18She makes sure she stretches daily to maintain and improve her mobility.
02:22There is so many stereotypes that I get to shatter just by rolling in this chair daily.
02:28People are like, whoa, come on, you're not really in a wheelchair.
02:33Tiffany inspires thousands via social media, sharing her progress from day to day.
02:38Myself, personally, yes, would I love to be able to walk and run again without the assistance
02:44of leg braces, yeah.
02:45But more than anything, my ultimate goal is to be able to inspire the world to see the strength
02:52within themselves.
02:53In Los Angeles, Janelle Marie for Valley View News.
