00:00News broke this week of racist, Hitler-loving group chat among young Republicans, including a Vermont state senator,
00:07and then an American flag was a swastika was done in a Republican congressman's office this week.
00:12Are you worried about that extremist, pro-Hitler sentiment among the party's young Republicans?
00:18No. Look, obviously we roundly condemn any of that nonsense, and the young Republican or the organization,
00:25whoever that, I don't know if any of these people are, I've never heard of them.
00:28Somebody posted a photo of me standing next to these guys. We're in tuxedos.
00:32Obviously, I think it was at the inauguration, and people were just coming up and asking for selfies with a thousand of them.
00:37I don't know. I've never heard of that person in my life.
00:39But whoever these young people are, and whatever they're saying, if it's true, we obviously condemn that.
00:44And the organizations involved are dealing with that. That's my understanding.
00:48With regard to the swastika thing, this happened last night.
00:51A Republican congressman, allegedly one of his staffers had something in the background or something in a Zoom.
00:56That's what I heard this morning.
00:58He says that that's not his, and there's a proper investigation ongoing, and the congressman did exactly what he should have done,
01:04and that is report it. It's under investigation, and I can't comment on it any further until that's done.
01:09But I will say, obviously, that is not the principles of the Republican Party.
01:13We stand for the founding principles of America.
01:15You want me to articulate them for you right now?
01:17Individual freedom, limited government, the rule of law, peace through strength, fiscal responsibility, free markets, human dignity,
01:22that the things that lead to human flourishing, we have stood against that.
01:27We fought the Nazis.
01:29We defended that evil ideology.
01:31We roundly condemn it, and anybody, in any party who espouses it, we're opposing that.
