00:14when it comes to the war in Ukraine. But after a two-hour phone call with Putin on Thursday,

00:19Trump is betting that will change.

00:35During the phone call, the Kremlin said that Putin warned Trump against sending

00:39U.S.-made tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, something Zelensky is expected to ask for

00:44when he meets with Trump at the White House on Friday.

00:48Earlier this week, Trump hinted he might agree. But after his conversation with Putin,

00:52he appeared to walk back the threat.

00:54You know, we need tomahawks for the United States of America, too. We have a lot of them,

01:02but we need them. I mean, we can't deplete for our country.

01:09Ukrainian forces believe the tomahawks could be a game-changer in their battle against Russia.

01:15The cruise missiles have a range of 1,600 kilometers and cost about $2.5 million apiece.

01:21I think the tomahawks are quite a serious weapon. And I believe they could fundamentally change the

01:27course of the war for the better. Experts say the tomahawk missiles may prove to be an effective

01:34bargaining chip to bring Putin to the negotiating table. But Trump also risks escalating tensions

01:40with Moscow by threatening to send them to Kyiv.
