The Russian Ministry of Defense released footage on Thursday (16) showing a night patrol carried out by a Su-35S fighter jet in support of the Eastern Military District’s troop group.
According to the official statement, the mission aimed to protect Russian aircraft and helicopters during airstrikes against facilities and military equipment belonging to Ukrainian defense forces.
The video, published by the ministry, shows the air superiority fighter operating under low-visibility conditions, lighting up the sky with afterburners and performing tactical cover maneuvers.
The Su-35S, manufactured by Sukhoi, is one of the most advanced aircraft in service with the Russian Air Force. It is equipped with an active electronically scanned array radar and state-of-the-art electronic warfare systems, designed to ensure air superiority and protect allied formations during complex missions.
