00:00Since I came into being in this job, if you like, last year, we met, and we met with several victims of cavity wall insulation failure,
00:08people who were sold dodging insulation by cowboys, and then the sort of legal predators that have taken advantage of that afterwards.
00:14And I've learned really through this process what people power means to try and deliver for those people.
00:19We've met a couple of times since then, and I'm very happy to, as we've done before, take things to Parliament and raise with Government Ministers.
00:25So there's a few questions here which will raise, as you say, questions to the Treasury about specifically legal funding and the Justice Department.
00:32There are some questions here to the Department of Net Zero and Energy about some of these eco-schemes and what it means to get proper Government accountability on some of the people doing the work.
00:43And then the big ask, I suppose, from you and from me and from victims would be, what about a compensation scheme?
00:47What about responsibility being taken forward afterwards?
00:49And we also need more people who are suffering from mould and damp as a result of failed cavity wall insulation to come forward and let us know,
01:00because we're trying to now get stats on how many of these Government schemes have failed,
01:08and it's important that we do try and collect that data.
01:12Thank you very much for joining us today.
