Two crime scenes remain in place after triple-fatal house fire

Queensland's homicide squad has been called in to help investigate a house fire that claimed the lives of a woman and two school-aged children. Police are keeping an open mind about the cause of the blaze as the local community reels from the tragedy.

00:14Emergency services were called to the house fire on Wednesday morning.

00:18The bodies of a woman and two 12-year-old boys were found inside.

00:22The ABC has chosen not to name them, in line with family wishes.

00:27Our deepest sympathies go out to those family and all persons involved.

00:32Investigations are continuing into what caused the blaze.

00:35Two crime scenes have been declared and the homicide squad has been called in to help.

00:40We're not sure of what the cause of the death is, so until such time as we've ruled out,

00:44any third party will continue to investigate in that manner.

00:48We're keeping a very open mind in regards to which direction this investigation takes.

00:52They're asking anyone who might have footage from the area at the time to come forward.
