00:00Discover Rome through the sounds of the Jubilee, the buzz of voices, the footsteps of pilgrims
00:07and more. The Electrical Jubilee exhibition which opened at the Goethe Institute allows
00:12visitors to listen to normally inaudible sounds generated by cell phone towers, wireless systems,
00:19smartphones and other everyday objects. Designed by German artist Kristina Kubisch, the exhibition
00:26tells us how Rome's soundscape changed before and during the Jubilee.
00:56Visitors can relieve the experience in an interactive way.

01:15acoustic and electromagnetic recordings to make it accessible to everybody.
01:22Using a four channel controller similar to a DJ station, visitors can mix sound material both
01:30acoustic and electromagnetic recorded in Rome in the Basilica area.
01:35Well I like to develop an application, a program for the audience to get creative and mix,
01:44do their own compositions out of around 40 sounds that we recorded during the project in Rome.
01:54The Electrical Jubilee exhibition will be at the Goethe Institute in Rome until October.
