00:00It's always an exciting day, the students are ready, there's nerves of course, the understandable nerves, but important to the start of HSC is that they're part of a long process of which the kids have been prepared for over a year.
00:30That's why I do the fist bump, just again, just take a little bit of the pressure off, it's a bit of fun, it's touching skin, it's sort of hopefully just helping them to settle, but yeah I think the hype can be unhelpful.
00:48I think it's nerve-wracking for the first one because you don't know what you're going to expect and it feels very, very serious.
01:02Yeah, I was feeling quite sick in the stomach this morning I was like, ohhhh!
01:06Look, it's been pretty hectic, I did a whole lot of preparation leading up to trials and then in the sort of two weeks after trials I didn't really do anything at all, so then having to catch up after that was a bit more work than I'd anticipated.
01:18But yeah, I've had lovely support from my teachers who I've been stress emailing at all times of the day going, oh can I do this? But yeah, no, so it's been a lot of preparation definitely, but I think it was worth it.
