00:00What I'm seeing is I see a hungry Crawford.
00:03A Crawford that has been looking for the opportunity for a long time,
00:07finally getting the opportunity, and really ready to grab.
00:12And it's exciting.
00:14You know, Terrence is frequently strong.
00:18He can punch. He's got good crack.
00:20He can fight from both ways.
00:22Orthodox south ball, he can fight at mid-range, close range, outside.
00:26And he can fight going both ways, so it's exciting.
00:32It's exciting.
00:33I'm going with Terrence Crawford.
00:35You know, big weight jump, a dangerous fight,
00:38but somebody's got to prove to me that they can break Terrence Crawford's will
00:42and that he can't figure it out against you.
00:45Part 1 few matchups in boxing history ignite debate quite like the imagined clash
00:50between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Terrence Bud Crawford.
00:54Both men define excellence in their eras, representing two different schools of greatness.
01:00Fans, pundits, and boxing legends have long argued about who would win
01:05if these two masters ever shared the same ring.
01:08But this discussion isn't only about skill.
01:11It's about legacy.
01:13Mayweather's flawless technical mastery stands against Crawford's unmatched adaptability and killer instinct.
01:19One built his name on perfection, the other on pure dominance.
01:23Definitely wanted to agree that he's done shit that Floyd Mayweather ain't done.
01:27Like what?
01:28Like what?
01:29Noities that don't know.
01:30He is a two-time undisputed champion.
01:32Floyd wasn't a one-time undisputed champion.
01:34So he has all the belts in one division and then moved up and got all the belts in another division.
01:41I don't know if that's ever happened in the history of boxing.
01:44Yes, and he beat the man.
01:45And he beat the man.
01:46Let's give Terrence Crawford his flowers because everything he said he was going to do.
01:51He done it.
01:52He did.
01:53New Floyd Mayweather walked away from the sport with a spotless 50-0 record, one of the cleanest in boxing history.
02:00His career was a masterpiece built across five weight divisions, filled with victories over world champions.
02:07What made Floyd special wasn't just his speed or defense.
02:11It was the way he could break down any opponent.
02:14Punchers, strategists, pressure fighters, none could outthink him.
02:19His ability to make even the best look average became his signature.
02:23Lloyd Mayweather stopped Conor McGregor in the 10th round to improve to 50-0 in what he says will be his final fight.
02:30I actually believe him this time, Max.
02:32What's his legacy?
02:34Well, he's one of the great pure boxers who ever lived.
02:38He has never cheated himself.
02:40He always was in condition.
02:41He had no off nights.
02:43That's why he won every fight.
02:45It's one of the reasons.
02:46Not because he's one of the best to ever do it.
02:48And because he was always prepared over a very long amateur and pro career.
02:53Amazing.
02:54Another reason is he carefully selected opponents, knew when and where and when and who to fight.
03:00And basically changed the paradigm in boxing.
03:04I'll translate.
03:05He flipped the script.
03:06I mean, really, boxing is basically and this is just the way it is.
03:11And I'm a huge boxing fan and I make no apologies about it.
03:13But you it is fans and networks essentially exploiting fighters.
03:19That's how it works.
03:20We want to say we demand a level of dedication and risk taking with your health.
03:25That was that's insane.
03:26Right.
03:27Right.
03:28Like someone's getting their head beaten every which way.
03:30And if you quit, you don't have heart.
03:32You can't be a great fighter, which is true, by the way.
03:34This is it's a blood sport.
03:36And Floyd and usually fighters wind up broke and punch drunk.
03:39And Floyd Mayweather flipped the script.
03:41He said, no, I'm not going to let the game play me.
03:44I'm going to play.
03:45The other hand, Terence Crawford has quietly built one of the most complete resumes of the modern era.
03:52He became undisputed champion in multiple weight classes and proved he could adapt to any style placed before him.
03:59With his switch hitting skills, sudden bursts of power and razor sharp ring IQ, Crawford has made himself a nightmare for anyone standing across from him.
04:09His dominance at welterweight pushed him into the pound for pound conversation, a space where for years only Mayweather's name seemed untouchable.
04:18And now more and more professionals are stepping in to share their opinions.
04:23Everything is on Terence Crawford's side, all the legacy, meaning he only has the opportunity to win the belts.
04:29Saul only has an opportunity to defend them.
04:31Terence Crawford has an opportunity to be in a five division and the only person to win all four belts in three separate weight divisions.
04:38Why is Saul taking this fight?
04:40And I'm going to tell you why, because there's some things in life more important than just the belts.
04:45And that 20 year career that Terence Crawford made that all that he has is very valuable.
04:51Very, very valuable.
04:52He had one foot out the game.
04:54And if he can be the man to defeat him, because remember, if Saul beats him, Terence Crawford was the first man to get all four belts in two separate weight divisions.
05:03Yes, I beat that champion.
05:05Yes, I beat the multiple division champion.
05:07And he had the oath.
05:08Oscar De La Hoya, who once fought Mayweather, believes Floyd remains the superior fighter.
05:14He says Mayweather's record and technical precision keep him beyond reach when comparing greats.
05:20It's that.
05:21Viewpoint reflects how many in boxing's old guard feel a deep respect for Mayweather's resume and his unmatched consistency at the top level.
05:30Yet on the other side stands Canelo Alvarez, who fought Mayweather in 2013 and has more recently faced Crawford.
05:38Canelo made waves when he claimed that Crawford is way better than Floyd Mayweather, praising Bud's intelligence, versatility, and the quality of his recent victories.
05:48Coming from someone who's battled both men, Canelo's words carry serious weight.
05:53I have to disagree because Floyd Mayweather toyed with Canelo.
06:03Like he literally toyed with him.
06:05He didn't get hit at all.
06:07He didn't get hit at all.
06:08That one time.
06:09And Crawford, yeah, he's more of a fighter boxer.
06:15Mayweather's more of a boxer.
06:17But I have to disagree.
06:19I think Mayweather is much more superior than Crawford.
06:25Not just because he beat me and it was a close fight, whatever, or that I stepped in the ring with Mayweather.
06:31But I really feel that technically, Mayweather's a better fighter.
06:36You faced Mayweather when you were 23 years old, I believe.
06:3923.
06:40Just turned 23.
06:41Yeah, you just turned 23.
06:42You didn't have a lot of seasoning.
06:43I know people will say, oh, he had a lot of fights.
06:44Well, you didn't have an amateur career.
06:45You started boxing at 15 as a pro, right?
06:47Yeah.
06:48Yeah.
06:49So you gave up the weight concession.
06:51You gave up the rehydration clause.
06:53And I always thought...
06:54Everything.
06:55I always thought if you would have faced him with some more seasoning, it would have gone differently.
06:58You know, he deserved the position in that moment because, you know, Mayweather is one of the best fighters in the boxing history.
07:06And he deserved that position in that moment.
07:09You know, I tried to make history and I tried to put myself in the very top in that moment.
07:15But for some reason, it doesn't happen, right?
07:18And yeah, like you say, if I had the fight with Miguel Ángel Cuarto first and all these kind of fights and then fight Mayweather, maybe go in a different way.
07:29But, you know, we never gonna know.
07:31We never gonna know.
07:32And I learned from that fight.
07:35And like I say, things happen for a reason.
07:39Former world champion Shane Mosley, who went a full 12 rounds with Mayweather, leans toward Crawford in this imagined matchup.
07:47Mosley argues that Bud's all-around game, his power, creativity, and adaptability, makes him more dangerous and more complete.
07:56Those who've faced Floyd know how exceptional he is.
08:01But Mosley suggests that Crawford brings new dimensions and angles that Mayweather never had to face in his prime.
08:08I think he's better out of those two, Crawford or Mayweather.
08:14I think Crawford is better, bigger.
08:18Like, he's actually more than weight class.
08:21And I would say Crawford is a better all-around fighter.
08:27Mayweather is really good too, though.
08:29You can knock him as well.
08:33You know, he's very talented.
08:35It would have been a tough fight.
08:37But I think Crawford would have had the edge over Mayweather because of the long arms and because it's bigger.
08:41You know what I'm saying?
08:43He would have kept him at bay.
08:45It would have been hard for Mayweather to counter, maybe.
08:47But Mayweather is definitely a technician.
08:50I mean, like Crawford said, you know, Mayweather has zero.
08:53And Crawford, this is zero.
08:55Moseley never dismisses Mayweather's brilliance.
08:58He often says that Floyd's defensive mastery and discipline make him one of the most difficult puzzles in boxing history.
09:05Even as he praises Crawford's versatility, Moseley reminds fans that Mayweather's precision and mental toughness are almost unmatched.
09:13I was surprised about his power.
09:16When you attack Floyd, he has a way of making you run into it and you feel the power that could collision.
09:22But when you kind of box away from him, yes, he has power but not like he does when you're trying to attack him.
09:28He's not weak.
09:29He's strong.
09:30Like I said, he trains hard and he does all the things you're supposed to do as a fighter, as a champion, to be the best.
09:35Moseley fought Floyd in 2010 and actually rocked him badly in the second round.
09:40But he later admitted that after that moment, Floyd adjusted instantly, shut him down, and never allowed him another clean opportunity.
09:47That experience shaped Moseley's view.
09:49He respects Crawford's size, switch hitting, and offensive variety.
09:53But he also knows firsthand that Floyd is a master at neutralizing even the best weapons.
09:58Shane, everybody talk about Shane Cardi.
10:01But what was the issue?
10:03Shane started hesitating.
10:04Why did Shane hesitate?
10:05Because he took the best shot and he stood there, held on tight.
10:10And on top of that, let Shane feel his strength and came back out like nothing happened in the previous round.
10:18But still stone cold.
10:20And then Shane ends up being the one hesitating, waiting, and to fight to get away from him.
10:26I'm saying Shane hit me with a, hit me with a hell of a shot.
10:28Okay.
10:29Actually, two shots.
10:31Okay.
10:32But even in that particular round, what I said to Shane was this.
10:37I was like...
10:38You did so upset something to him when you grabbed him.
10:40I said, you gotta kill me.
10:41Oh shit.
10:42I wasn't ready for it.
10:43I said, that was a good one.
10:45I said, that was a good one.
10:46But you gotta kill me.
10:47Wow.
10:48I said, you gotta kill me.
10:49And then I mean, I'm not gonna lie.
10:52Moseley's perspective comes from experience.
10:55When he fought Mayweather in 2010, he managed to rock Floyd hard in the second round, a rare sight in Mayweather's career.
11:02But moments later, Floyd adjusted instantly, took control, and never allowed another clean opportunity.
11:10That night left a lasting impression on Moseley.
11:13He respects Crawford's size, switch hitting, and offensive variety.
11:18But he knows firsthand that Mayweather can take away even the most dangerous weapons from elite opponents.
11:23Who's the most skill fighter today?
11:25Bud is definitely one of them.
11:26For sure.
11:27Tank Shakur, Devin.
11:28Boots.
11:29Boots.
11:30They're my favorite.
11:31It's a lot of them.
11:32And they're skillful in different ways.
11:33You know what I'm saying?
11:34Somebody that, like, I can bet the house on.
11:36But because me and him, we so much alike in our mentality.
11:41Like, as soon as I see this dude, he come in the room or I come in the room, we start arguing.
11:46About basketball, wrestling, anything.
11:50Bro, like, man, you can't, man, you looking small.
11:52What you mean I'm looking small?
11:53You looking small.
11:54You gotta really hurt that dude to turn him away.
11:56And to try to stop him from doing what he wanna do.
11:59So, skillful, yes.
12:00But this and this, it's different, man.
12:05There's not a lot of guys like that out there, currently.
12:09There's a lot of guys that talk to you.
12:11But until you get in that real fire, I'm not saying a guy, you fighting a guy you should beat.
12:16I'm saying a guy that, it's a 50-50 matchup.
12:18We don't really know what you have.
12:19You don't even really know what you have.
12:21And so the question remains, Floyd's genius or Bud's grit?
12:26One man built a career on perfection.
12:28The other forged a legacy on dominance.
12:30The answer may never be settled in the ring.
12:33But as long as boxing fans debate greatness, this matchup will always stand as the ultimate
12:39what if.
