00:00You know, I feel sorry to the fans because the fight is boring.
00:05You know, the fight is boring.
00:08That's not what the fans are expecting to us.
00:11Turkey Ali Sheik said, deliver the job to Terrence Crawford.
00:15The fight is big, show me.
00:17Pretty certain Terrence Crawford in his brain is saying to himself,
00:21I can beat this dude.
00:23You know what I'm saying?
00:24And if he actually goes through with it, he'll be 38 years of age next Sunday.
00:30There's a guy right now in the sport that's supposed to be the man, you know, Big Bad Wolf.
00:34You beat him, you the wolf.
00:37Now it's like, you know what I mean?
00:39Like, all right.
00:41Well, so I'm going to fight.
00:42Manny Pacquiao has mocked Floyd Mayweather for suddenly calling out Terrence Crawford.
00:47Manny says he feels sorry for the fans because this is not the kind of matchup boxing deserves.
00:52According to him, the fight would be dull, nothing more than another exhibition.
00:56Pacquiao reminds everyone that Floyd has been retired for years,
01:00and he hasn't stepped into the ring for a serious contest in a long time.
01:05For Manny, that makes the whole idea meaningless.
01:08You know, the fight is boring.
01:12That's what the fans are expecting to us.
01:15I mean, as a fighter.
01:16If I'm a fan, of course, I want to see a good fight, like a changing fight at a fashion show.
01:26Pacquiao has not held back in criticizing Mayweather.
01:30He admits he feels pity for Floyd because his priorities seem tied completely to money.
01:35In Manny's eyes, Floyd's comebacks have nothing to do with legacy or love of the sport,
01:40but everything to do with squeezing dollars out of flashy exhibitions.
01:43He described the possible showdown with Terrence Crawford as an event driven purely by greed rather than true competition.
01:52For Manny, that strips boxing of its soul.
01:54It turns warriors into models, walking in to put on a performance instead of fighting to prove themselves inside the ring.
02:02Beginning of this conversation, you say, I don't like boastful people.
02:05How is it like fighting Mayweather?
02:07Did he get on your nerves?
02:08Because I feel like he's a little bit more boastful than the people you might be wanting to hang out with.
02:12Yeah, his boastful, I think his God is the material things, money and everything like that.
02:18I'm pitying with him because I want to share the word of God in him if he believe in God.
02:23Yeah, I've heard he's a generous man.
02:26I think he's done good things.
02:28I think, you know, he kind of reminds me of like a lot of people like this, by the way, including myself.
02:32I'm not just saying him.
02:33I'm including myself.
02:34The man who goes up to Jesus and says, what should I do to get into heaven?
02:38He says, sell all your belongings.
02:39And he walked away crying because he couldn't sell his belongings.
02:42The announcement that Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson will fight in 2026 sent shockwaves through the boxing world.
02:50Analysts were quick to point out that this isn't a battle between two men at their peak.
02:55It's an entertainment spectacle designed to bring in massive revenue.
02:59Reports suggest this fight is being built up as a warm-up for Mayweather before a possible showdown with Terrence Crawford later in the same year.
03:07Observers agree both events are structured with money at the center, with pay-per-view sales expected to skyrocket.
03:14Tyson still carries legendary status, and Floyd remains a global brand, meaning the fight will attract headlines worldwide, even if the sporting value is minimal.
03:24Broadcast for Jake and Tyson and, you know, some people like the likes of Carl Frotch viewed that as an endorsement.
03:32Like, look, man, I'm just working.
03:34It's a big opportunity to be on Netflix.
03:36I didn't put the fight together.
03:37I'm not paying these guys.
03:39So, you know, let's chill out.
03:41But, all right, I'm not going to poo-poo this.
03:43I just don't know what CSI is.
03:45And the way it was presented made me think that there was, like, a secondary press release to come that they'll be involved in, like, some sort of, like, virtual boxing thing.
03:56Like, it just didn't seem real.
03:57You know why it didn't seem real?
03:58I'll tell you why.
03:59There's no date attached to it.
04:00There's no venue attached to it.
04:03Forget rules.
04:04Exhibition, not exhibition.
04:06Weight.
04:07I mean, here's a guy who fought a heavyweight fighting.
04:08Forget all that.
04:09These things can get figured out.
04:13The fine details.
04:15The fact that it was announced.
04:16Why announce something with no date or location attached to it?
04:21What's the point?
04:22Unless you're just trying to get people excited and trying to get them, you know, trying to get some investors or something like that.
04:31But maybe also testing the waters.
04:33If the response is overwhelmingly positive, maybe you go, okay, we move forward.
04:38If the response is muted or negative, maybe you go, okay, we're not going to actually do this.
04:43You know, you lob it out there as a way to poll the public and then make an adjustment.
04:48You don't think it happens?
04:50I do not think it happens.
04:51I just don't think there will be enough interest.
04:54I don't think.
04:55I know they have huge name value.
04:57There's zero.
04:58After the last performance by Mike Tyson against Shea Paul, I don't think there's going to be interest in seeing Mike Tyson do that again.
05:04But, man, a generational, talented fighter.
05:10Like, he's accomplished what no other fighter is ever going to accomplish.
05:15Terrence Crawford has always spoken with admiration about Manny Pacquiao.
05:19When asked about him, Crawford emphasized that Manny's career stands alone in boxing history.
05:25The Filipino legend won titles across multiple weight divisions, often stepping up against bigger opponents and beating the odds.
05:32Crawford said that Manny's success was not only historic, but nearly impossible for anyone to repeat.
05:39Pacquiao built his legacy in a unique era, taking risks no one else dared, and that, Crawford believes, is what makes him truly one of a kind.
05:48Shocked the world.
05:50Not me, but shocked the world.
05:52This past Saturday, Mexican Independence Day weekend, where he took on defeated another first ballot Hall of Famer,
05:59but he essentially jumped up three weight classes, technically two, from 154 to 168,
06:07but only had one fight in 154 last August against Israel Majumov.
06:12Terrence Crawford defeated Saúl Canelo Alvarez, who was a four-division champion, two-time undisputed super middleweight,
06:20and the reigning, at the time, super middleweight world champion, undisputed world champion.
06:27And Terrence Crawford beat him handily and convincingly.
06:30And because he beat him so easily, now the 63 win, three loss, two draw, 39 win by way of knockout,
06:39biggest threat has been now imposed on Terrence Boyd Crawford,
06:46and that's the Mexican Ecuadorian monster, David Benavidez,
06:51who is a two-division undefeated world champion, is the two-time WBC super middleweight,
06:59and reigning WBC light heavyweight, 175-pound champion, who has a record of 30 wins, no loss, no draw,
07:0624 wins by way of knockout.
07:09He stands six foot two with his 75-inch armies.
07:11This is a fight that David Benavidez has been calling from for Canelo Alvarez when he was at 168,
07:18and Canelo Alvarez strategically maneuvered around him.
07:21But Canelo Alvarez is 5'7", with a 70-inch arm each, started his career at 147 pounds,
07:29made his real name at 154 pounds.
07:34He's not a big guy, okay?
07:37And styles make fights.
07:38Benavidez is 6'2", with a 75-inch arm each.
07:42His last fight at 168 against Demetrius Andre, he rehydrated to 193.
07:46So he's a big guy.
07:49Canelo Alvarez probably rehydrate to 182, maybe, 185 max, right?
08:00He's not a big guy, right?
08:02Trainer Greg Hackett praised Terrence Crawford's incredible win over Canelo Alvarez.
08:08He described Canelo as the shark of boxing,
08:11a dominant force who ruled the sport for years with power and precision.
08:15Hackett said Crawford didn't just face Canelo, he dismantled him.
08:20For Hackett, that moment marked a shift at the very top of boxing's food chain.
08:25Beating a man once seen as untouchable turned Crawford into the new predator,
08:29the fighter everyone else must fear.
08:32His comments raise a powerful question about the future.
08:35If Crawford could take down the toughest fighter of his generation,
08:38then who is left that can truly test him?
08:43Fans are now debating whether Crawford will continue long enough to face new challengers
08:47or retire at the absolute peak of his dominance.
08:51Because you've got to remember, Canelo is the guy right now in the sport
08:54that's supposed to be the man, you know, big, bad wolf.
08:57You beat him, you the wolf.
09:00Now it's like, you know what I mean?
09:02Like, all right.
09:04Well, so I'm going to fight.
09:05You beat the shark, you beat the wolf.
09:08Right.
09:09Like, you know what I mean?
09:09Ain't no more ops out there.
09:11It's ops out there.
09:12But who going to make them really want to get up?
09:16That's the point.
09:16Shit got to make sense.
09:17Like you said, you beat a shark, you beat a wolf.
09:20But there is the monster.
09:22Yeah, there is, but that's like a real monster.
09:24Bro, to me it don't make sense.
09:27That's a real monster.
09:28Yo, is that proof?
09:31All right, we got the legendary pape in the building.
09:33Legend.
09:36But what makes sense?
09:40Like, what makes the most sense?
09:43I know you said get a line of suits, Brooks Brothers.
09:46Yeah.
09:46You know what I'm saying?
09:48Your line of suits, get your money.
09:50Go ahead and get the easy money.
09:52You ain't got to sweat no more.
09:54What's up, bro?
09:55I'm not saying you ain't got to work.
09:56You ain't got to sweat.
09:57What's that?
09:58He's paved the career where he could sit down at a table and get this money.
10:04He could come out with a Terrence Crawford series now.
10:07Just whatever, doing whatever he'd like to do.
10:09People going to watch it.
10:11Nobody, the fighting part, people don't understand what it's like to be a fighter.
10:14You really, a lot of times, fighters really don't be interested in certain fights.
10:20It's because when a guy sees himself up here and then he's fighting a guy down here, it
10:25don't interest him.
10:26So therefore, when he trained, he's not going to really train.
10:28He's going to train, but he's not going to train.
10:31He's not going to listen.
10:32He's going to feel like his coach taking the two series.
10:34And he's like, man, this ain't even that.
10:36But your coach's like, listen, you're going to get fucked up.
10:38I'm telling you, you don't want to listen.
10:40Then you go in there and fight that guy.
10:41Then you get fucked up.
10:42The boxing community has been split ever since whispers of Mayweather vs. Crawford began.
10:48On one side, promoters see dollar signs, two names with global recognition almost guarantee
10:53blockbuster pay-per-view numbers.
10:55But among fans, the response has been far more complicated.
10:59Many argue it's a mismatch.
11:01Crawford is in his prime, sharp, and fearless, while Floyd has been out of serious competition
11:06for years.
11:08Others point out that Mayweather's defensive genius and ring IQ could still pose problems
11:12even now.
11:13But beneath the debate, one truth keeps surfacing.
11:17This fight would not exist without money.
11:20To supporters, it's business as usual in boxing's modern era, where spectacle often outweighs
11:25sport.
11:26To critics, it's a dangerous distraction, pulling attention away from real contenders and meaningful
11:32rivalries.
11:32In the end, fans are left torn between excitement at the idea of seeing legends collide and frustration
11:39at watching the sport lean further into entertainment over authenticity.
11:44I think there was enough action, and I think Crawford displayed his skill enough, even to
11:50someone with not the most trained eye, that they know they saw a very high-level athlete
11:54perform something at a very high level last night.
11:57I think he gained the sports world's attention last night and respect.
12:00He already did after Spence, but it went to another level in this fight.
12:03And I think even the fight itself, like just from a median level, but then the moments where
12:10they were having these exchanges, like kind of late in the fight, then people were like,
12:14all right, it was good.
12:14Then I'm like, okay.
12:15I saw somebody like, they're squabbing.
12:17Like, this is a fight here.
12:19So I think it did.
12:20And Crawford closed the show.
12:22Yeah.
12:22In 10, 11, 12, he stood in there and landed some hard shots and rock Canelo at the bell.
12:27He didn't, when James was talking about the great Floyd Mayweather, Floyd would go up
12:32on you 8-0 and then coast, and you might as well turn the fight off at midway through
12:35the ninth.
12:36Like, you know, he's not going to, but Crawford didn't do that.
12:40He, but he wasn't up 8-0, to be fair to Floyd, but he, and Floyd was when he fought
12:44Canelo, so he could do that.
12:46But Bud instead steps on the gas.
12:49Bud is a finisher.
12:50You know, he closes really strong.
12:52He closes really strong in every exchange.
12:54That's one of his gifts.
12:55He's the best counterpuncher of his era, one of the greatest counterpunchers that lived.
12:59But the great fighters, James would tell us about this, James and Mike McCallum put on
13:06fights that exemplify what I'm talking about, initiating and punctuating, being first, being
13:13last.
13:14That's one of the things that makes Crawford who he is.
13:17So, no, I think it was a good enough fight that it certainly didn't hurt boxing.
13:22Yeah, I think sport of boxing delivered last night.
13:24I mean, Earl Crawford didn't deliver?
13:28Yeah.
13:28Many, uh...
13:29Yeah, he did.
13:30Analysts almost all agree.
13:32Terrence Crawford's dominant victory over Canelo Alvarez was the defining moment of his
13:37career, a fight that ended any real debate about his place in boxing history.
13:42Even before this, fans respected Crawford for his decisive win against Errol Spence, where
13:48he controlled every round and silenced those who doubted his level of competition.
13:53But defeating Canelo carried far greater weight.
13:56For years, Canelo was considered one of the strongest pound-for-pound fighters in the sport,
14:02a champion across multiple divisions who regularly fought bigger men.
14:06Crawford not only met that challenge, he dismantled him in a way few thought possible.
14:11In doing so, he proved his skills extend far beyond one weight class or one style of opponent.
14:17He displayed adaptability, technical brilliance, and mental toughness at the very highest level.
14:24Today, almost every observer agrees.
14:27Terrence Crawford is one of the rare fighters who has conquered every challenge set before him.
14:31Match up between Prime Mayweather and Prime Crawford, I've tended to lean slightly towards
14:36Mayweather.
14:37But after that performance there against Canelo, not just the fact he won, the manner in which
14:41he won, I've changed my mind.
14:43I would now lean towards Prime Crawford over Mayweather.
14:46And the reason I say this is because of the expert way in which Terrence Crawford mixed
14:51offensive in-the-pocket boxing with defensive on-the-move boxing.
14:57Not running, save for maybe a round or two.
15:00No, just moving nicely.
15:02Because if there's one area of Floyd Mayweather's game that was underdeveloped, it's his front
15:07foot game.
15:08Whenever Mayweather was forced to walk an opponent down, what he did was actually very basic.
15:14He would hold his hands up and he would walk forward throwing straight right hands.
15:18Okay, there were accurate straight right hands.
15:20There were well-timed straight right hands.
15:22But there wasn't a whole leap of head movement.
15:24There wasn't a whole leap of creative or dynamic footwork, coming forward, walking somebody
15:29down.
15:29No, it was very, very basic stuff.
15:31And I don't think an approach that basic would have worked against, let's say, a Tommy
15:36Hearns, who was 6'1", 6'2", 78-inch reach, massive puncher, good hand speed.
15:42So I always thought that a Prime Tommy Hearns would beat Prime Mayweather because I can't see
15:46Mayweather doing what Ray Leonard did, grabbing a ball by the horns and taking it to Tommy
15:50Hearns.
15:51Can't see him doing that.
15:52And if he did try and do it, he's going to get clipped.
15:54Tommy Hearns hit so hard, that guard from Mayweather wouldn't be enough, in my opinion.
15:59And I never saw Mayweather on the front foot moving his head a lot.
16:02When he's in the middle of the ring or on the back foot, when he's being defensive, yeah,
16:05that's when he moves his head.
16:05The famous Philly shell defense to shoulder roll and all that.
16:08But coming forward, no, it's a lot more basic.
16:10Go watch.
16:11Mayweather's old fights, you'll see what I'm talking about.
16:13Whenever he's forced to come forward, it's basic stuff.
16:15And so after watching Crawford's performance against Canelo, I got to thinking, you know
16:19what?
16:19Maybe Crawford employs similar tactics if he fights a Prime Mayweather.
16:24And that wraps up today's video.
16:27The debates will continue.
16:28The opinions will fly.
16:29But one thing is certain.
16:31Crawford has carved out his own era.
16:33Stay tuned for more stories, more analysis and more voices from the fight world.
16:38Until next time.
