00:09in the aftermath of the Karoor stampede. He issued a statement in the Assembly.

00:14But the AIA-DMK was quick to hit back at the Chief Minister.

00:18Now, Chief Minister Stalin, while speaking about the stampede incident, said that it's shaken the conscience of the state.

00:25He also expressed his condolences over the 41 lives that were lost,

00:28but highlighted that his government acted swiftly after finding out about the stampede

00:33and also said very clearly that people's lives mattered the most.

00:37There was, in fact, quite a bit of drama witnessed because EPS at the same time stood up in the Assembly

00:42saying he wanted to speak first.

00:44And so the AIA-DMK staged a walkout from the Assembly over Stalin's speech on Karoor.

00:50Edapadi Parniswamy said that Stalin only presented the Chief Minister's version of what happened

00:56and that the government had taken no action and there was no attempt to hear what the opposition had to say.
