High drama erupted inside the Tamil Nadu Assembly as a massive face-off broke out between the DMK and TVK following remarks made by Chief Minister Joseph Vijay. The DMK demanded that the Chief Minister's statements regarding Emergency, MISA, and corruption allegations, along with alleged derogatory hand gestures mocking MK Stalin, be expunged from the assembly records. However, the Speaker refused to expunge the remarks, stating that proceedings would remain on record. Minister Aadhav Arjuna defended the Chief Minister, asserting that corruption was a disease like cancer spread during the DMK regime. Following the Speaker's refusal, DMK MLAs launched a sit-in protest in the House, leading the Speaker to issue eviction orders. Assembly marshals were called in to forcefully remove the protesting DMK legislators as chaos escalated on the floor of the House.

00:26where the DMK is demanding that the remarks must be expunged
00:31whereas the Speaker has refused to expunge Vijay's remarks.
00:39So ruckus in Tamil Nadu Assembly and remember this comes a day after
00:44Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay had made statements against the DMK government.
00:50In fact he had also made a gesture that has now stoked a big controversy
00:54with not just the opposition leaders, the DMK leaders,
00:57but also his own allies now slamming him for making that gesture
01:01allegedly against MK Stalin.
01:04And now DMK is seeking to expunge Chief Minister's remarks
01:07but what we're learning is that the Speaker has refused to expunge those remarks.
01:24So as you can see in these visuals there's sloganeering that's happening
01:28in the Tamil Nadu Assembly and Minister Adhavarjuna states that corruption is a cancer
01:34that was spread by the DMK.
01:36So big DMK face-off inside the Assembly, inside the Tamil Nadu Assembly
01:40as Chief Minister Vijay opens EDN corruption files
01:44and after which ruckus ensued the Assembly.
01:50My colleague Apoorva is now joining us with more details on this.
01:54Apoorva, give us the latest update.
01:56What exactly happened today inside the Assembly after which there was a ruckus?
02:00What did the Chief Minister say?
02:06Well, in fact, it's not the Chief Minister but rather, you know,
02:09Minister Adhavarjuna who has gone ahead and stated this.
02:12Remember yesterday after that fairy speech that had been said by Chief Minister Vijay
02:18that today the DMK has gone ahead and requested the Speaker
02:22that whatever the Chief Minister spoke outside of whatever was the questions
02:26that were given pertaining to the law and order situation,
02:29the Chief Minister had spoken about emergency, the Chief Minister had spoken about MISA,
02:33the Chief Minister also made some derogatory comments.
02:36All of these need to be expunged from the Tamil Nadu Assembly records
02:40is what the DMK had gone ahead and requested the Speaker
02:43for which the Speaker had gone ahead and also made these comments saying
02:47that so far along that the Chief Minister was speaking,
02:50we saw how all the DMK MLAs had been doing a ruckus in the Assembly.
02:54This speech of the Chief Minister talking about MISA, talking about emergency,
02:59all of this will not be expunged.
03:01It's what the, you know, the TV case Speaker there has gone ahead
03:05and stated in that score of the Assembly today.
03:07This even as the TV case leader and Minister Adhavarjuna has gone ahead
03:13and given a clarification.
03:14In fact, he has gone ahead and stated that the Chief Minister
03:17had not spoken anything wrong but rather he had talked about the corruption,
03:22the corruption that was rampant during the DMK's time
03:25is what Adhavarjuna has gone ahead and stated.
03:28Interestingly enough, Adhavarjuna is also making shocking comments
03:31wherein he says corruption was a disease like cancer
03:35that had been spread throughout Tamil Nadu during the time of DMK.
03:39That's the statement that has been made by Adhavarjuna.
03:43Following this, you know, back and forth communication between the TV case
03:47Minister Adhavarjuna, DMK's Eva Velu as well as, you know,
03:52senior leaders from the DMK as well as the Speaker there,
03:56a complete chaos and ruckus erupted inside the Tamil Nadu Assembly
03:59wherein now the DMK MLAs have all gathered and just like yesterday,
04:04protested, demanding that the Speaker expunge these kind of comments
04:08made by, you know, the TVK leaders there without any proof,
04:12without any kind of hint of proof there.
04:15And these malicious comments be removed from the Tamil Nadu Assembly records.
04:19And you can see that that's the chaos that has erupted in the Assembly
04:22with the DMK MLAs going ahead and protesting the kind of statements
04:26that had been made by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph CBJ
04:30when he spoke about the emergency and the MISA
04:33and made the kind of derogatory hand gestures
04:37allegedly mocking then Chief Minister M.K. Stalin
04:40and now when talking about emergency and the Assembly speech as well.
