00:00Stellantis is going all-in on a U.S. comeback.
00:03The parent company of Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler plans to spend $13 billion over the next four years
00:09to boost American production and add more than 5,000 jobs,
00:13the biggest U.S. investment in its 100-year history.
00:16The automaker says it'll increase domestic output by 50%,
00:20rolling out five new vehicles and 19 product updates across plants in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana through 2029.
00:28The plan includes reopening the Illinois plant for new Jeep models,
00:32adding a mid-sized truck in Ohio, SUVs in Michigan, and a new engine in Indiana by 2026.
00:39CEO Antonio Filosa calls it a once-in-a-century investment meant to keep Stellantis competitive
00:45and give U.S. consumers more choice between gas, hybrid, and electric power.
00:50And it's coming at a critical time. Stellantis has faced years of U.S. market share losses.
00:54The rollout begins next year, pending final state approvals.
