00:00You make of it what you will. Musical, yeah, yeah, I'd like to do a musical.
00:04Have some fishy chips or whatever I like to eat.
00:06Hi, Lucy, nice to see you.
00:08Hello, nice to see you.
00:09How's it feel about the year of the comebacks, you know, Oasis?
00:11Boys only just announced they're back, and now DDL.
00:13That's pretty cool, isn't it? Daniel O'Daylor is back, along with the other greats.
00:18Yeah, yeah.
00:19Good year it is.
00:20Yeah, it is indeed, yeah. I'm glad Oasis are back, especially, I love them.
00:24But also Daniel himself, and, you know, I think he's come back and really made an impact with his film.
00:31I mean, the scale and the focus and the power of his acting is obviously still there, and I think he proves it in this film.
00:43Did you learn much from him?
00:44You know, because he immersed himself so fully in the project.
00:48Did you take anything from that?
00:50I don't know. I mean, I didn't really take anything from that.
00:53I mean, we all have our different approaches to acting, and what works for one may not work for another.
00:58You know, I think we all try to give our all.
01:01I mean, I always throw myself totally into a part and focus and prepare, but I sometimes like to have a little break from the character when I go home at night
01:11and have some fish and chips or whatever I like to eat on a particular day.
01:15But Daniel's approach, as we all know, is very much method, and it works for him, and it works fantastically for him.
01:21How old did you take in the wilderness, do you think?
01:23How would I?
01:24How would you cope in the wilderness, in the wild?
01:26Me?
01:26Yeah.
01:29All right, as long as I'm centrally eating, hot water, internet, you know, whatever.
01:35Cup of tea.
01:36Yeah, cup of tea.
01:38And if Daniel and yourself were to kind of be up for the Oscar chat, how does that feel?
01:43How do you feel about all that?
01:45I don't know.
01:45I don't really take much notice of that.
01:47I just try and get on with what I'm doing and, you know, hope people like it.
01:51You know, I mean, I think it's a kind of mixed bag in a way.
01:54It's a dark film.
01:55But it's got, you know, it's a very deep psychological drama with two very conflicted and characters.
02:06And, you know, I think there's some people who will really respond to that, and there are some people who won't.
02:12It's very much of its own kind.
02:13It's not there to hold your hand and tell you what's happening throughout the film.
02:17It's very unapologetic in its approach, and you make of it what they're there.
02:23And just one more.
02:24Any other genres you haven't done yet?
02:26Anything else you really want to get stuck into?
02:29Uh, I can't.
02:30I can't think.
02:33Can you look?
02:34I'll help me out.
02:34Musical, yeah, yeah.
02:36I'd like to do a musical.
02:37Would you actually?
02:38Yeah.
02:38You could be the baritone voice, couldn't you?
