00:00I wanted to chat to you first up about what it's like as a footballer's dad
00:05when you've been a footballer.
00:07Is it difficult to rein yourself in sometimes,
00:11in terms of your history and what you did during your career?
00:16Yeah, I think I've been quite fortunate with two boys having different experiences.
00:25It probably sounds a little bit like Bailey ended up a little bit the guinea pig
00:28in the end for Caelan because obviously he was our first.
00:32But the early stages of when me just being a dad,
00:37watching my son play football, grassroots level,
00:41all dads will be the same.
00:43They want to do really well and you get frustrated when they don't do certain things.
00:46And I ended up going into coaching more so for the fact of trying to be a better footy dad.
00:54So I was getting frustrated and wanting more for Bailey when he was a lot younger.
01:03But I was getting frustrated with him thinking,
01:05oh, you can do more, you can do this or why can't you do that?
01:07So I went into, I did my youth mods first before any actual,
01:11other actual higher level coaching qualifications to understand kids
01:15and understand why my son was making certain decisions or doing certain things.
01:20So I knew one of those things,
01:43I would say the day that she's caught up guys.
