00:33Right now, I would like to talk to you about how to minister healing.
00:43The Bible tells us in the book of Jeremiah 33, verse number 6,
00:51Behold, I will bring it health and healing.
00:56I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.
01:07And also, Psalm 107, verse number 20,
01:14He sent His Word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions.
01:23The ministry of Jesus was marked by healing the sick.
01:34And He commissioned His followers to carry on the work through faith.
01:41And today, believers can minister healing in various biblical ways.
01:51And so, today, we are going to look at the seven scriptural principles
02:06of how we can administer healing through the Word of God
02:13and through the power of God.
02:15Remember, this class is about ministering healing according to the Word of God.
02:28And in number one, the first way how we can minister healing is through the laying on of ants.
02:37According to Mark 16, verses 16 through 18,
02:46Jesus gave His disciples the Great Commission to preach the gospel
02:54and demonstrate God's power.
02:56And He declared this,
02:59And these signs will follow those who believe in My name.
03:09In My name they will cast out demons.
03:14They will speak with new tongues.
03:19They will lay hands on the sick.
03:22People of God, the laying on of hands is a tangible act of faith.
03:37It is a point of contact where the believer imparts God's healing power.
03:45Just as Jesus touched the leper in Matthew 8, verse number 3,
03:56He was cleansed.
03:58Christians today can minister healing through touch,
04:04declaring God's Word and releasing His power.
04:10The laying on, the laying on, the laying of hands communicates compassion,
04:20connection, and faith that God will restore the one in need.
04:28The second way how we administer healing is through gifts of healings.
04:45And many of you know that in 1 Corinthians chapter number 12,
04:51it gives us the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit or the nine gifts of the Holy Ghost.
05:05And one of those gifts are the gifts of healings, plural, gifts of healings.
05:14And the Apostle Paul reminds us that the Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts as He wills.
05:27Among these are the gifts of healings.
05:331 Corinthians 12, verse 9 states,
05:36To another faith by the same Spirit,
05:42And to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
05:52We underscore gifts of healings in that verse.
05:58These gifts are supernatural endowments given to certain believers,
06:07Enabling them to minister healing beyond natural ability.
06:15While all believers can pray for the sick,
06:19Some are specifically anointed to function in this area of ministry.
06:26The phrase gifts of healings in the plural suggests different types of healings for different conditions.
06:41It can be physical, emotional, or even spiritual.
06:45These gifts serve as a testimony of God's compassion and power,
06:55Drawing people to Christ.
06:59Number three.
07:05Prayer of faith.
07:08Prayer is one of the most powerful means through which healing flows.
07:17James 5, verses 15 through 16 declares,
07:24And the prayer of faith will save the sick,
07:30And the Lord will raise him up.
07:34And if he has committed sins,
07:37Ye will be forgiven.
07:40Confess your trespasses to one another,
07:44And pray for one another that you may be healed.
07:50The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
07:58The prayer of faith is not a timid request,
08:05But a confident declaration that God is faithful to his word.
08:15Many believers pray in faith, trusting God's promises.
08:21Healing is released.
08:22First, this type of prayer is rooted in God's character,
08:29His willingness to heal,
08:32And his covenant promises.
08:34It is based on feelings,
08:38But not on unwavering belief in the power of God.
08:45Faith must often be accompanied by corresponding action.
09:01We see here that in the Old Testament,
09:05Naaman, the Syrian commander,
09:08Receiving healing from leprosy,
09:11Only after he acted in obedience to the prophet Elisha's instruction.
09:20We see here in 2 Kings 5 and verse number 14,
09:26So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan,
09:33According to the saying of the man of God,
09:38And his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child,
09:43And he was clean.
09:47Healing is sometimes released when we step out in faith
09:53And obey God's word.
09:56Just as Naaman dipped in the Jordan River,
10:03Believers today may need to act on the word,
10:07Whether by forgiving,
10:10Speaking life,
10:13Or taking a step of obedience,
10:17Faith without works is dead,
10:21According to James 2 verse number 17,
10:25But faith expressed through action
10:30Often unlocks the miraculous.
10:36Number five,
10:41Healing can be ministered through anointing with oil.
10:46Another biblical method of ministering healing
10:54Is through the anointing with oil.
10:58James 5 verse 14 says,
11:02Is anyone among you sick?
11:06Answer,
11:08Let him call for the elders of the church,
11:13And let them pray over him.
11:16Anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
11:22Oil in the scripture symbolizes the Holy Spirit.
11:30When elders anoint the sick with oil,
11:35It is not the oil itself that heals,
11:41But the spirit of God working through the act of obedience.
11:49The anointing with oil is both a physical act
11:55And a spiritual declaration
11:58That the sick person is being set apart
12:03For God's healing touch.
12:07It reminds us that God's spirit is present
12:12To restore and renew.
12:16Number six,
12:22Prayer of agreement.
12:27According to Matthew 18 verse number 19,
12:34Jesus states again,
12:37I say to you that if two of you on earth,
12:47If two on you,
12:50If two,
12:50Excuse me,
12:51Let me repeat that again.
12:53Again,
12:54I say to you
12:56That if two of you agree on earth
13:01Concerning anything that they ask,
13:06It will be done for them
13:09By my Father in heaven.
13:14The prayer of agreement
13:17Is a powerful principle
13:21Where believers come together
13:25In faith
13:27Standing united
13:30On God's promises
13:32When two or more agree
13:37In prayer for healing
13:41Their faith joins together
13:45Creating a strong spiritual force
13:49The unity aligns
13:53With God's will
13:55And invites
13:57His power
13:59Into the situation
14:01Agreement in prayer
14:05Silences doubt
14:06And reinforces the assurance
14:10That God hears and answers
