00:00It's been nearly 12 weeks on the block.
00:04We have cried.
00:07We have celebrated.
00:10We have felt every emotion.
00:13I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
00:16That's what the block's about.
00:17And it all comes down to this week.
00:18Final week of the block.
00:19Front yard and front facade week.
00:22It's the week to win.
00:24Tonight.
00:24Cheers.
00:25Let's get to work.
00:26House 2's front facade is growing nowhere fast.
00:30House 2's done nothing all day.
00:32That's our landscape.
00:33One rock.
00:33Nothing's happening.
00:35Why is nothing happening?
00:36What is the plan?
00:38I'm getting worried now.
00:39The only thing growing at House 5 is the landscaper's bill.
00:43We don't have the money.
00:45Robbie and Matt, they're going to have to pull a rabbit out of a hat here.
00:47I need to pay my guys.
00:49And a front facade faux pas shocks the block.
00:52That's awful.
00:54Is it real?
00:54Looks good.
00:55But what were you really thinking?
00:57It's f***ing terrible.
00:58That has just knocked them out of the competition.
01:03Ah!
01:04Ow!
01:05Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, night.
01:11Day and night.
01:13And I'm all alone and I see the breeze in my night.
01:16Ah, ah, ah, ah, night.
01:25Monday morning, it's foggy as hell.
01:32It's two degrees.
01:34Did you say Monday morning?
01:35Tuesday morning.
01:37It's foggy as hell.
01:39Very big.
01:39Got a bit of block brain.
01:43You said block brain?
01:44Had a bit of block brain.
01:45You did.
01:46I feel like you've had a lot of that.
01:48Wow.
01:48Even week one.
01:49Whoa.
01:50To confirm, it's Tuesday morning on the final week of the block.
01:55Our teams have just six days till they reveal their front facade, the final element to completing
02:04their homes.
02:07This week is not only about delivering a showstopping front yard.
02:11Each team has also been presented with a list of issues inside their homes that have
02:16to be rectified.
02:17We need to get 237 defects done by Sunday.
02:21Yep.
02:22As well as a front yard.
02:26When did you become a comedian, Dad?
02:28You're so funny.
02:31The couple with the most defects aren't even on sight this morning as they were treated to
02:36their first getaway of the season.
02:41Party, run!
02:43To celebrate Alicia turning years old.
02:48Yeah, last night we stayed in here at the Royal in Zalesford.
02:52The publican put us up when he heard it was Alicia's birthday.
02:55So, just let her have a bit of a sleep in and come back to pick her up.
02:59Let's go.
03:00Yeah.
03:04That's what I said, need the tea.
03:05We tried to get for the lot.
03:07Yeah, so we got chumps to get away.
03:08It was great.
03:10Bed was so comfy.
03:11Did you have the heated blanket on?
03:13I was by no way heated up.
03:15I was.
03:16Woke up on fire.
03:17My first shower in 83 days.
03:20He's had a shower.
03:21First proper shower.
03:23Yes.
03:23Yeah.
03:24First non-caravan shower.
03:26Yes, thank you.
03:27I washed my hair and everything.
03:28Oh, so good.
03:30That was 100% the reset that we needed.
03:33We're back.
03:33Back on site today.
03:35We're going to have some fun.
03:36We're going to laugh.
03:37And we're going to win this week.
03:40What a week for House 4 to potentially bag their first room win of the season.
03:45What's up for grabs this week?
03:47Well, I'll tell you what's up for grabs.
03:49Um, if we're going to do this again, let's get the handsome fella back.
03:53We have two MGs.
03:55One MG.
03:56You.
03:57MG U that will sit in the driveway and get sold with the house auction day.
04:01One MG's coming home with us.
04:02And $50,000 off your reserve of money.
04:05That's the biggest win.
04:07You've got to be going hard this week to win this because that can be the difference between winning and blocking.
04:12Okay.
04:13Okay.
04:13Here we go.
04:14All right, let's move on from taking the piss out of a national treasure and check in with house two.
04:21Or as the girls want their home to be known as, flow estate.
04:27So tell me about the term flow estate.
04:31Yeah, so flow estate is a play on the words flow state.
04:36We've got lots of curves and rounded skylights and features.
04:40We want the inside and the outside to have that flow.
04:43We want you to like enter the home and feel enveloped that you're on a journey and that things are moving calmly.
04:51But staying calm.
04:52Can you just stop getting up me because I'm going to lose it in a minute.
04:55Has been in short supply for the girls this week.
04:57So much so that their builder, Shan, stepped in with a solution to bring back some flow estate.
05:03You go get the paint.
05:04You go organise the list, please.
05:06Hannah stays outside.
05:08Can stays inside.
05:09And no bickering this week.
05:10And the hope is this new sense of house two, harmony and flow, will extend into their front facade design.
05:18This week we're continuing our theme with Christian Jenkins, who's doing a Japanese inspired landscape.
05:25We've been to some Airbnbs with Japanese gardens and we just feel like they're very zen.
05:31A big focus on curves, a big focus on tranquility.
05:35We always want to do a point of difference, but feeling particularly inspired by Japan.
05:39Hey, stop there.
05:43Just because it's Japanese themed, we're not using a questionably tasteless headline like this.
05:50Or music like this.
05:54Or this sound effect.
05:57We're better than that.
05:59And so are the girls, who surely won't go down the cliche route.
06:02I get random spurts of creativity and I just thought, wouldn't it be cool if we had a big Torrey gate above the driveway as a statement.
06:18Do you think it's cultural appropriation?
06:20You're just laughing at it.
06:21What?
06:22Torrey gates.
06:23Who's Torrey gates?
06:25Judges' feedback last week was the Torrey gates were a little bit hidden.
06:28So Han decided to stick a really big one somewhere really obvious.
06:36As well as their Torrey gate, their front yard features a relaxing zen gun, a decorative rock sculpture house and timber armour.
06:49Front facade is a first impression of a home.
06:53What sets the tone for the rest of the house?
06:55What better than a three metre Japanese inspired Torrey gate over our driveway?
07:01It's bigger than three metres.
07:05Last week we came out on the bottom, but this week we're coming back with a fury and a vengeance.
07:11And we're going to pull it off.
07:12I hear it all, I hear it all again.
07:15I hear trouble coming.
07:18I hear trouble coming.
07:20I hear trouble coming over the door again.
07:23Over at House 5, there's a question mark over whether they'll even finish this week, as the budget battles between them and their landscaper continue.
07:31We had told him from day one, our budget for the landscaping in total was $70,000.
07:42To do the job of front yard and backyard.
07:44This is it.
07:46The budget the boys allocated was to cover the likes of a flowing garden, a beautiful water feature and meandering Tuscan sand paths.
07:55But yesterday, their landscaper, Paul, informed them of an additional unforeseen cost on top of their $70,000 budget.
08:04We're pretty shocked because he's probably 50% over the money we've allocated.
08:10We've got $34,000.
08:12Outstanding.
08:13Sorry, what?
08:14There's $20,000 that's gone from excessive engineering.
08:20Mesh, extra labour and custom poured footings.
08:25Didn't know about any of this.
08:27How was this not communicated?
08:30The communication hasn't been phenomenal.
08:34So I don't want there to be any expectation on us to pay more.
08:39That's not how it's going to work.
08:40Yeah.
08:41Front gravel path rebuild and extra drainage to legal point of discharge, $11,000.
08:46It's $11,000.
08:48Yeah.
08:48That was where we made him pull it all up to do the aggie drain.
08:51Is your landscaper here?
08:52He is.
08:53I reckon he's out the back.
08:54Yeah, he's gone ahead and done all these works.
08:57Yeah.
08:58Without doing any sort of inspections or anything.
09:01Do you remember us receiving that email?
09:03Sub-grade inspections must be completed by a representative from nine and six.
09:09We need to see what's below this, just to make sure we've got a good solid base.
09:12This is all going to be ripped up.
09:13He never took the time to read it all, open up the attached documents and fully understand
09:22what he had to do.
09:25I think that $11,000 one's on him for him not reading plans and taking the time to understand
09:30what was required.
09:31In total, there was about $29,000 worth of unforeseen costs on his end.
09:39I reckon you could at least halve that from what I'm hearing.
09:42Yeah, but there's no money to pay for half of it.
09:44There's no money to pay for a dollar of it.
09:46I mean, it's zero.
09:46The only way we're going to finish this landscaping is if he finishes it and it's the 70k, which
09:54we've already paid.
09:57And if he doesn't, then we give him what we can and he walks.
10:00You kind of need to, you want to, you know, you have to finish your landscape.
10:03Yeah, I know, but it's more the fact of he's wanting money, we can't get it.
10:08I don't feel like he should still be working.
10:12Robbie and Matt, they're going to have to pull a rabbit out of a hat here because they
10:16need Paul to stay and finish his front yard.
10:18They're going to have to somehow negotiate something here with him.
10:22It's a variation bill that they didn't know about.
10:24Some of the variations I don't agree with, so there is room to negotiate.
10:29They need a front yard to sell the home.
10:30If you don't have a front yard or if it's left like this, they're not going to win the
10:35block.
10:35They might not even sell.
10:37It's front yard and facade week on the block.
10:49Over the past 82 days, the blockheads have turned empty spaces into show-stopping rooms.
10:55Holy ****.
10:57And one team are hoping to repeat the trick for the final time this week.
11:01Game on, Molls.
11:03Wow.
11:03Last week's winners, Emma and Ben, are finally back from their MG getaway to get stuck back
11:09into block life.
11:10All right, that's off.
11:12That's on.
11:13Let's get to work.
11:14And speaking of stuck...
11:15And speaking of stuck...
11:16Definitely in reverse.
11:17Yeah.
11:21Hold on for a second.
11:24Guess what I just saw.
11:25What?
11:26We've got 4D doors, house 3, garage door.
11:31We've got a bit of a reveal for our garage door.
11:33It's a risk.
11:34But there's a lot on the line this week.
11:36We thought we'd go big.
11:37So, the plan is to have this beautiful Indigenous artwork going on the garage door from Troy Firebrace
11:44to the Jar Jar people, but we don't want to display that so early on in the week so other
11:49people can, you know, alter their plans.
11:51So, the plan is to cover it up with something...
11:54A bit light-hearted.
11:56Their secret weapon, a one-of-a-kind Indigenous artwork on their garage door, will be covered
12:02until Sunday with a unique Graphico creation.
12:05Damien from Graphico, there's nothing he can't do.
12:08He has created a beige dot abstract photo of myself and Britt holding two drills, standing
12:18back-to-back.
12:20And it's awful.
12:23But it's believable if you think we're flogs.
12:28So, you've got your faces on your garage door?
12:30Yeah.
12:30To be clear.
12:31But suddenly, not like in your face space.
12:34It's Anna's face.
12:35So, it goes on the theme of the house.
12:36Troy!
12:37Troy!
12:38Would you put your face on your garage?
12:40Yeah, Troy's well aware of what we're doing.
12:42I'd buy it.
12:43I just...
12:43I wish it was just Taz just there in these...
12:45Dan doesn't know.
12:52Is Dan falling for it?
12:54Dan is completely falling for it.
12:56I think it's...
12:56I don't know.
12:58He pulled us aside.
13:00Numerous times.
13:01Told us, do not do it.
13:03Off camera, called Troy, our landscaper, and said...
13:06Troy!
13:07I'm worried for him.
13:09He can't do it.
13:10Troy says, nah, we've got to sell Taz and Britt.
13:15This is their story.
13:16Dan hung up the phone.
13:17And, like, it's selling it to Dan, but as soon as it goes up tomorrow, we have to sell
13:23it to everyone else on the block.
13:24Everyone else's side.
13:25F***!
13:29With 24 hours till that big reveal, the biggest one, the blockhead's front yard, is only six
13:35days away.
13:36Will you be here all week or do you reckon you'll get out?
13:38I've got no idea.
13:39Time disappears very quickly around here.
13:40And the prize of $50,000 off your reserve is the kind of coin some houses could do with
13:46now.
13:48It'd be great to have, like, $50,000 budget for front yard week.
13:54And really rip into it.
13:56That's our landscape.
13:58One rock.
14:00It's minimalism.
14:02Yep, with this week's suggested budget for the front yard set at $20,000, plus defects to
14:09sort out, houses are feeling the pinch.
14:12So let's check in with a team who are masters at counting the coin.
14:18Here they are.
14:19Hi, mate.
14:20This is great to see.
14:22So all carpentry's only done in here?
14:24Yeah, it's all done.
14:25Now we've just got a gap in paint?
14:27Yeah.
14:27So you'll be out of here in a couple of days?
14:29Hopefully out of here maybe tomorrow.
14:31What's today?
14:31Tuesday, yeah, maybe.
14:32Wednesday or Thursday, depending on what happens outside.
14:34The last of everything this week.
14:36We'd hate to walk out of here without a win.
14:39We seem to keep getting pipped because we just don't have that little 1% thing to tick
14:47us over.
14:48So this week we're putting a big $260,000 caravan in the front.
14:53Yes, the quarter million caravan they won back in week six will be their front yard showpiece.
14:58Along with a small seating area outside the guest bedroom.
15:06Generous lawn space.
15:07And the only team to have a second driveway.
15:12Quintessential Aussie front yard.
15:15With a caravan in the front.
15:16We've left nothing in the bank.
15:18Nothing in the tank.
15:19This is the last chance.
15:22Paid all your bills, Sonny.
15:23We paid all our bills, mate.
15:24We paid every single bill we got.
15:25Every cent accounted for.
15:28How it should be.
15:31Our landscaper says that we owe him $30,000 of unforeseen costs.
15:37We have to address the issue today and come up with a solution.
15:42Yeah, talk about where we are moving forward to get it all sorted.
15:45We've never experienced someone just putting it on an extra nearly 50% on top of a bill.
15:52So Dan said there is room to, you know, negotiate it.
15:57We don't have the money to give him, we agreed on, $70,000.
16:02To do the job of front yard and backyard.
16:05So the boys have literally come to the table with their landscaper, Paul, and his wife and
16:10business partner, Carmen, to attempt to find a resolution.
16:14So we need to work out either is Paul going to finish the job or is he going to leave the
16:18job and Matt and I will finish it with our terrible landscaping skills.
16:22I guess, long story short, like we are stoked with the backyard.
16:25Like it could not be better if we tried and we are so happy with you guys being our landscapers
16:29and versus like what do we do moving forward because at the end of the day, Matt and I,
16:33we don't have the money.
16:37That's like full stop.
16:39We've got maybe $5,000.
16:42At the absolute max, that's going to be cutting back from finishing the house.
16:47Yeah.
16:48So we can't finish everything inside.
16:51Like, so the money is still outstanding for my business.
16:55I'm only a small business.
16:56So do I have to take that front and go at a loss?
16:59I'm not sure what the answer is.
17:00I don't think that's fair.
17:02But also, it's probably not fair.
17:09There wasn't any communication to say, hey guys, we're $5,000 over budget.
17:15Hey guys, we're $10,000 over budget.
17:16Hey guys, we're $15,000.
17:18It was.
17:21It was communicated clearly.
17:23You guys are so flat out.
17:24I've got text here.
17:25I've got proof here.
17:28It's even been on camera.
17:29Robbie said we've got an extra $20,000 from ComBank, was it?
17:32It was said, like, so the money was there.
17:36I was going off the money.
17:37I thought you had it.
17:40I need to pay my guys.
17:55It's probably not fair.
17:57There wasn't any communication to say, hey guys, we're $5,000 over budget.
18:02Hey guys, we're $10,000 over budget.
18:04Hey guys, we're $15,000.
18:06It was.
18:09It was communicated clearly.
18:11Look, it's crazy, crazy.
18:13You're so busy.
18:14Yeah.
18:14And you probably just looked at, you know, the text message or the email really quickly.
18:18These are all the different invoices.
18:20And then I'll put here.
18:22Hi Matt, balance owing from 22nd of May to 52k.
18:25There's, yeah, constant, there's emails and all that sort of stuff.
18:29Robbie said we've got an extra $20,000 from ComBank, was it?
18:32It's, it was said.
18:33I was going off the money I thought you had.
18:36Matt and I said, look, we probably can get you $20,000.
18:38And I said, I will confirm with you once we know exactly how much we've got.
18:42It might have been a little bit of miscommunication.
18:45Being in this situation, number one, we feel like we're letting Paul down.
18:49When it's not either of our intent or what we're about.
18:56Um, yeah, I just don't know what the next move is for us.
19:01Number two, we feel like ****.
19:04You know, we don't have the money to give him for what he's wanting and expecting.
19:11We obviously, you know, we put our hand up straight away and if you guys, you know, we can't afford you, then we have to finish the job by ourselves, which we don't want.
19:18Well, I said I'd do the front.
19:20I'm happy to follow through.
19:22Paul, you know, we give him credit because he wants to finish the job.
19:28He wants to finish a beautiful front yard for house five on the block.
19:32I guess we just have to go away and work out where we can cut costs.
19:35You know, sending plants back, cancelling labourers.
19:38You can use Matt and I at your disposal for whatever you need us to do.
19:42A hundred percent.
19:43We are going to do absolutely everything we can to get as much money as we can to give to Paul.
19:50We're going to try our best to make whatever we can happen.
19:54Yeah.
19:56In my head, I'm like, OK, if we win a challenge, bank, ten grand straight to you.
19:58And this week is, you know, double car and 50k off your reserve.
20:03Maybe give us a car.
20:06The main solution was that we finish.
20:08That's the only goal this week, that we finish our front yard.
20:11So Matt and I are just rolling up our sleeves and be Paul's labourers for a couple of days.
20:15So you're out helping.
20:16How are we going with defects inside?
20:18Uh, couldn't give a ****.
20:22Couldn't give a ****.
20:30The difference in protection as you look up and back?
20:33Oh, nothing.
20:34What's going on?
20:35House 2's done nothing all day, really.
20:37Just throwing rock out the back.
20:41Nice size rocks.
20:43Yeah, beautiful.
20:43Landscaping may be slow going, but the girls are getting things done as they're sticking
20:50to Shan's separation order.
20:53Inside can is on defect duty.
20:59An outside hand is on a shopping mission.
21:01So we're sort of doing like a Japanese Zen garden.
21:09And so far, Shan's plan has seen a sharp decline in bickering.
21:13We're chasing a water feature.
21:19Bye, honey.
21:20Did you get my text messages?
21:24It's Toscan Path Northcote Potteries.
21:26We could put one out on the, like...
21:28Barbecue area or alfresco.
21:31That's what I'm thinking.
21:32Hmm.
21:33It's not...
21:33The backyard's not going to be judged, so...
21:36I know, but, like, I'm trying to sort out a deal, all right?
21:38So just go with it and say which one you like, please.
21:42Ah, it's feeling a bit tense and awkward again, so let's move on.
21:46Oh, look, there's Alicia.
21:48Hello.
21:48What can we do for you today?
21:49I need lots of paint, please.
21:54I think I ended up with 77 litres of paint.
22:00I love painting.
22:01I find it therapeutic.
22:04I f***ing hate painting.
22:06Now, how's your front yard progressing?
22:10We've got the ramp going in, tiles, all our trees out the front.
22:14We're reversing our caravan in as that's being sold with the house.
22:18We've lined up a little sneaky car to stay in our driveway.
22:23I'd commandeered the MG.
22:25The ute that's up for grabs.
22:27I wanted to show the amenity of our place.
22:29Two driveways.
22:30Yep, two driveways.
22:31So you can buy that house, you will have the caravan,
22:34and hopefully an MG ute.
22:37We're putting it out to the universe.
22:40Caravan, car, house.
22:43Win the block.
22:45Toodaloo.
22:46And so day 82 concludes on the block.
22:50No, sorry, no commercials yet.
22:53As I've literally just been told,
22:55there's a surprise for me in my sawmill.
22:58And I genuinely have no idea what it is.
23:02Wicky!
23:04I like you.
23:06You look good, Scotty.
23:07Looking very nice.
23:09So the end of Tuesday,
23:11we take Scotty into his sawmill.
23:13It's quite bizarre summoning Scotty to his own sawmill
23:16when normally he's the one doing it for us
23:17and reading us for filth.
23:18I have been summoned.
23:20And that's the first time that's ever happened to me before.
23:23Who do you people pick you up?
23:26What's going on?
23:27Welcome.
23:27Welcome.
23:28Hello.
23:29Hello.
23:30He was a bit taken aback at first, I think.
23:32He didn't know what was going on.
23:33He didn't know what was going on.
23:34I think he thought it was an absolute stitch-up.
23:36What are we doing?
23:37Am I going to get some feedback?
23:40Pop, pop down, Scotty.
23:42This is our show at the moment, mate.
23:43Sorry, my apologies.
23:44I've been asked to be the spokesperson,
23:48which is a big honour.
23:49Right.
23:50Here we go.
23:51Right.
23:53Scotty.
23:53Are you nervous?
23:54No, not at all, mate.
23:55You should be.
23:56You should be.
23:59Scotty.
23:59Yes.
24:00What a pleasure to be standing up here in your place.
24:03Who would have thought in 11 and a half weeks
24:05that we've been here,
24:06we would not have only built a whole house,
24:09but we get the opportunity to take your place
24:11in front of the camera.
24:13Don't worry, mate.
24:14I won't get too comfortable.
24:17You don't look comfortable at all.
24:20For all of us that stand here in front of you,
24:22and no doubt the previous blockheads,
24:24you've been so supportive,
24:26and it's not often that you get any thanks.
24:29All that we seem to do
24:30is whinge about our scores,
24:32ask for more money,
24:34bicker between ourselves,
24:35and generally be a thorn in your side.
24:38So today we get to say thanks.
24:41We've all come down here at one stage
24:42and found you tinkering away
24:43on the swords and the wood miser.
24:45Seeing you on that wood miser the first day
24:47was like watching a child
24:49going down the slide for the first time.
24:52It was.
24:53Big smile on your face,
24:55looking like you're not going to let anyone else near it.
24:59We've managed to commandeer
25:01a portable
25:03wood miser
25:07LX-50
25:08of your very own.
25:17He was chuffed.
25:18I thought he was going to cry.
25:20Is that mine?
25:21That's yours, mate.
25:22Yours, guys.
25:22That's yours.
25:23So on behalf of the 2025 blockheads,
25:26we'd like to thank you for a great season,
25:27and we can't wait to see
25:30what wonderful creations you build with this.
25:32You're in, Scotty.
25:32Thanks for that.
25:33Thank you, Scotty.
25:36Well,
25:37this is the nicest thing
25:39that's ever happened to me
25:40in my life.
25:41It's absolutely incredible.
25:42He nearly got emotional.
25:43Yeah.
25:44He did have a tear in his eye.
25:46He was like,
25:47now,
25:47Christ,
25:48that's what I'll say.
25:48That is so unreal.
25:50I've never been given a gift before.
25:52And you know what?
25:53Scotty's not really much of a hugger.
25:56This is unprecedented for me.
25:57I thank you so much,
25:59and I feel,
26:00which I've never done before,
26:02a group hug.
26:03Yes!
26:03Yes!
26:07Oh,
26:08we love you, Scotty.
26:10Really,
26:11one of the things we get asked
26:12out in the streets is,
26:13how's Scotty Cam?
26:14How's Scotty Cam?
26:15What's he like in real life?
26:16He's fantastic.
26:17Yeah, he's fantastic.
26:18He's like a dud,
26:18and he's one of the best humans
26:20I've ever met.
26:20Yeah.
26:21And we're so very fortunate
26:22and lucky to be here.
26:23Yeah, we are.
26:24Now, you guys are paying
26:25for the transport.
26:28Scotty, on camera and off camera,
26:30is the same bloke that you see.
26:31He's a good man.
26:32But he's also got a soft,
26:33soft heart.
26:34I've been doing this for a long time.
26:35I've been at Channel 9 for 26 years,
26:37and you guys have been my best.
26:39I promise you.
26:41That's really sweet.
26:41That means a lot.
26:42Yeah, you have.
26:43So, it's wonderful.
26:45Okay,
26:46you can go to the edge now
26:47before I cry.
26:48All right.
26:48It feels just like a little blur of three months.
27:13This has been our whole life,
27:15day in, day out.
27:16We have cried.
27:17We have celebrated.
27:19We have felt every emotion.
27:22Exhilarating.
27:23Depleted.
27:24Depressing.
27:25Happy.
27:25Sad.
27:26You know,
27:26even when you are kicked off site,
27:28your mind does not stop.
27:29Like,
27:30this is 24-7,
27:31seven days a week.
27:32But even for our most dedicated blockheads,
27:36cracks are appearing in their commitment this week.
27:39Had a bit of a sleep in,
27:40did we?
27:45Oh,
27:46I've not missed a single pre-start.
27:48Well,
27:48you have.
27:50Now.
27:50Now I have.
27:52Pre-start,
27:53for those who remember to attend it,
27:54is a mandatory daily safety briefing
27:58run by site supervisor
28:00and beacon of positivity,
28:02GMAC.
28:03Don't block anything.
28:04We'll just pick the car up.
28:06We'll put it out the street.
28:07Been dying to do it all season.
28:08And non-attendance from a team
28:10is a big no-no.
28:11I know.
28:12Yeah,
28:13just,
28:14phone's in charge
28:15and missed alarms,
28:16so,
28:17it's on us.
28:19Yeah,
28:19I've got to find Dad.
28:20Dan,
28:21Dad.
28:21Call Dan Dad.
28:22Can't play that.
28:24Um.
28:25What?
28:31Oh,
28:31I thought I got away with it.
28:36Mate.
28:37I know.
28:38I know.
28:39Unlike you.
28:40I know.
28:41Daddy does let you off lightly.
28:43I didn't call him Daddy.
28:46Well,
28:46you never missed one.
28:47You've been very good.
28:49Yeah,
28:49it's just...
28:50Just up late doing stuff.
28:51Yeah,
28:51yeah,
28:52I had a bit of stuff to get done and...
28:54Okay.
28:55Yeah.
28:55Dan,
28:57let us off with a warning.
28:58Oh,
28:59appreciate it,
28:59Dan.
29:02For Daddy.
29:03For Daddy.
29:04For Daddy.
29:07I hate this.
29:11Oh,
29:11you love Dad too much.
29:13I do love Dan.
29:14I don't care who you are,
29:17where you're from,
29:20what you did,
29:22as long as you love me.
29:23You know these...
29:24doggets?
29:26Grommets?
29:28What width is it?
29:29That's about 600 on the floor.
29:30As long as you love me.
29:31As long as you love me.
29:34Who you are.
29:36As long as you love me.
29:38He did a really good job.
29:41I don't care.
29:42As long as you love me.
29:48He's buying me dinner next week.
29:50Did he?
29:50Yeah.
29:50As long as you love me.
29:53So,
30:07compared to
30:08this time last week,
30:09how do you feel
30:10this week's going?
30:12Last Wednesday,
30:13I think Ben was
30:14crying in the corner
30:15and I was crying
30:17in the other corner.
30:18So,
30:18it's a little bit different
30:19to last week.
30:20The winners from last week
30:21will be hoping
30:22it's another
30:23outside space victory.
30:25The entrance is framed
30:26by bottle trees
30:27and a fern garden
30:28running along
30:29the front of the house.
30:30Plus,
30:30multiple sections
30:31with timber decking.
30:34Yeah,
30:34we've probably got
30:35three decks to build.
30:36So,
30:36we've still got our work
30:37cut out for us.
30:38Got our landscapers
30:39coming in tomorrow.
30:40Just smash out
30:41the rest of the front yard.
30:42I'm feeling good
30:43with where we're at.
30:43We still have a big week
30:44ahead of us.
30:45But I think it's achievable.
30:47We think we've probably
30:48got the biggest area
30:49to landscape.
30:53We'll see what everybody
30:54else delivers.
30:55But I think we've got
30:56a strong front yard.
30:57Yeah.
30:57Big, big wreckage.
30:58House won't officially
30:59have the biggest area
31:00to landscape
31:01with their neighbour
31:02one of the smallest.
31:05Although,
31:05given its size,
31:07outside hand
31:07is progressing slowly.
31:11On the front,
31:13where that garden bed is,
31:15what sort of plants
31:16are we putting in there?
31:17I'd like to put some
31:18bamboo in some pots.
31:20Yeah.
31:21I was looking around
31:22and I was just like,
31:24what's happening?
31:25Nothing's happening.
31:26Why is nothing happening?
31:29We'll be right.
31:30What sort of pots?
31:31We love Christian.
31:48He is such a visionary.
31:51He's a creative.
31:52But he moves at his own pace.
31:54They're just so big,
32:02these two boulders,
32:03aren't they?
32:03Yeah.
32:04Doing front for side,
32:05we can see all our neighbours.
32:06We can see where they were at.
32:07We can see lawn.
32:08We can see structures
32:09and plants going in
32:11and we're like
32:11rolling dirt around.
32:13What is the plan?
32:18Everyone showed
32:19their cards early.
32:20We're not showing ours.
32:23We're keeping our garden
32:25a secret.
32:26I know there's a plan.
32:27I know that he'll get it done.
32:29I know that he's like
32:29the hardest worker ever.
32:31But for me,
32:32it's uncomfortable
32:32when things aren't happening.
32:34Especially after last week,
32:36I think we're like,
32:37what do we need to be doing
32:38to get this yard there?
32:41But progress can't be stopped
32:42at house three.
32:43Who are now ready
32:44to reveal a unique
32:45front facade facelift
32:47to their competitors.
32:51Oh my God,
32:51I feel sick.
32:57The house is Britain Tars,
33:03guys, okay?
33:03So we made the house.
33:05Seriously.
33:06We designed the house.
33:07So obviously people
33:07buy the house for us
33:08and our story.
33:09And yeah,
33:10like we're really selling
33:11the story about Britain Tars
33:12and who they are.
33:12I don't know how
33:13I'm going to keep this up.
33:16Garage doors are here.
33:17Did you change it?
33:19Change it?
33:19Have we changed it or not?
33:20We're rolling with it.
33:22Word down that end of the street.
33:23I still think that Fordan thought
33:26we were joking
33:27and then the door goes on.
33:35Oh my God.
33:39No.
33:40What do you mean no?
33:41No.
33:41It's subtle.
33:42It's subtle?
33:43Dan comes around,
33:57just hit the garage door.
34:04Oh my God.
34:08No.
34:09There is our faces
34:12on the garage door.
34:19Wow.
34:21All you've said is wow.
34:23Wow.
34:27Didn't word spread quick.
34:29Tell me that's a joke.
34:33Is it real?
34:37Did you do this?
34:38We've taken a risk.
34:40You don't watch the show, Matt,
34:41but people who buy these houses
34:43buy into you and your story.
34:44Look,
34:45I love myself,
34:46but I'm not that indulgent.
34:47Wow.
34:54I'm so shocked
34:55that everyone thinks
34:55we're that big of flogs.
34:57Everyone thinks we're that vain
34:58that we would actually do this.
34:59You've got to be bold.
35:00Yeah.
35:01Do you like it?
35:03Looks good.
35:04You look hot.
35:05Well, you...
35:06Yep.
35:07We're all for it.
35:08Why?
35:09If it takes a point off them,
35:10it puts a point on us,
35:11so it's all good.
35:12Roll it.
35:13Check this out!
35:14I love it.
35:15You love it.
35:16Oh!
35:18It's good for our game.
35:20Leave it.
35:20Love it.
35:21Wouldn't change a thing.
35:22We told everybody,
35:23do not tell them otherwise.
35:25You love it,
35:26and it's great.
35:27But what were you really thinking?
35:29It's terrible.
35:33That has knocked them
35:34out of the competition.
35:36It's really going to hurt them
35:37at auction.
35:38Don't worry about judging.
35:39I'm worried about auction for them.
35:40Yeah.
35:40That's the one.
35:41That's what I'm worried about.
35:42People were full bought into it.
35:44Little do they know,
35:45but behind that monstrosity
35:46is a beautiful artwork,
35:47and we can't wait
35:48to reveal that.
35:49Yeah.
35:49It's a little part of you like,
35:50maybe we'll keep it.
35:51Absolutely not.
35:54That is getting ripped off.
35:57Like, if I have to burn the house down,
35:58that is going away.
36:01To be honest,
36:02I quite like it,
36:03but I'll tell you what I like more.
36:05You're sampling the best.
36:09I know you guys are a bit tight on budget,
36:13and you've already started working hard,
36:15and so you're the Bunnings' hardest worker for me.
36:17You can have a baker's dozen,
36:20which is 13,
36:21any size.
36:2313, chief.
36:24Of any plant you want.
36:29We're not having a palm tree.
36:31That's a good prize.
36:32That's a great prize.
36:34Can I give you a hug?
36:36Yes, all right.
36:37Come on.
36:37No.
36:38You're sampling the best.
36:43Better than all the rest.
36:46Bye.
36:47Thank you for the tree, Scotty.
36:48No worries.
36:50And now with their tree haul,
36:52House 5's front facade
36:53has renewed potential
36:54to stand out from the pack.
36:58Oh, God, you idiot.
36:59You're throwing it everywhere.
37:01I can't deal with you today.
37:03And having those game changers
37:05in your front facade,
37:06like House 3's Outdoor Cinema
37:08and House 4's Caravan,
37:11could be the key to bagging
37:12those two MGs
37:13at 50 grand off your reserve,
37:16courtesy of Bunnings.
37:18So there is now
37:20a worry at House 2.
37:25They need more show-stopping items.
37:29Candice, this is important.
37:31Like, are we going to get a sauna
37:32or are we not?
37:33No.
37:34Well, we can't afford it.
37:36Yes, we can.
37:37We did the maths last night.
37:39Hannah, why are you getting up?
37:42Because, Ken, I'm getting worried now.
37:46Yeah, Ken and I take turns
37:47to freak out and overwhelm
37:49and get stressed.
37:50So today was my day
37:51to do that.
37:53I'm outside,
37:54and I'm saying we have the money.
37:56I just sat down for hours
37:57and did the maths.
37:58So then buy it, Hannah.
37:59Why are you yelling at me?
37:59Because I need your approval.
38:01Buy it.
38:02There you go.
38:02There's my approval.
38:03I signed the gun on mine.
38:04Well, no, but where do you want to put it
38:05and what does that look like?
38:07It has to go next to the pool cabana
38:09because that's the only place
38:10they can rip out and run wires.
38:11I would not be...
38:16Right now,
38:17this front yard
38:18is the most important thing.
38:19This is what's getting judged.
38:20But you realise that
38:21you have to have
38:22those things in your mind as well.
38:24Oh, look.
38:26Han is very strong-minded
38:29and when she's caught
38:31in a negative spiral,
38:32it's hard to pull her out.
38:34OK, so look at everyone else's.
38:37I'm focused on the front yard.
38:39The backyard is done.
38:40But it's also important.
38:43What's going on?
38:45What's going on?
38:46But then Lee steps in
38:48as a voice of reason.
38:51Please.
38:52Let's just start rational
38:53and keep things calm.
38:57What you've got to think about
38:58is the grand prize this week, right?
39:02Gives you a car for the house,
39:04which is a sale point.
39:08Right?
39:09Your priority is your front garden.
39:11Yeah, exactly.
39:14That's where you need to focus.
39:17Betty stepped in to spot you
39:19a little bit can.
39:20Was it nice to have Lee
39:22sort of help you out?
39:23Yeah, it's lovely to have Lee here
39:25and he knows Han very well
39:28and how crazy she is.
39:30It's been an absolute
39:31rollercoaster of emotions.
39:33Hannah and I have had tears,
39:35blood, sweat,
39:36crying, laughing.
39:38But, yeah,
39:39it wouldn't change it for the world.
39:40It's been
39:40life-changing.
39:42And I'm so proud of you.
39:48And I'm so proud of what we've produced.
39:56Without you,
39:57like, I could not have done this.
39:59Like,
40:00you're my rock
40:01and
40:03literally, like,
40:04my world,
40:05I just don't want to tell you
40:06without you ever again.
40:08Like, I've just,
40:09you're just the best thing
40:10in the world
40:11and it's been so amazing
40:12being by yourself
40:13doing this together.
40:14Oh,
40:15I love you.
40:17You don't want just one day apart
40:19after this.
40:20You're such a bitch.
40:21It's official.
40:37It's day 83 on the block.
40:39A mere four days
40:40before our blockheads
40:41will have fully completed
40:42their homes
40:43is about to hit
40:44its conclusion.
40:47They're fully planted Wednesday
40:48and we have turf
40:50a robin in the morning
40:51and then I'll be
40:52fully turfed tomorrow.
40:53Way done.
40:58What's that?
40:59What?
41:00Grab it.
41:01What is it?
41:02I don't know.
41:02Just a rock.
41:04Gold nugget.
41:06I think he's found gold.
41:07He's struck gold.
41:07That would be pretty funny.
41:09Let me look.
41:10I'm a geologist.
41:11It's on my land,
41:12by the way.
41:13Yeah.
41:14Nah,
41:15fool's gold.
41:16Fool's gold?
41:17All right.
41:17That's why Dan found it.
41:21Thank you for coming out.
41:31Yeah, no.
41:32Just trying to plan
41:33the front yard.
41:33The lighting is a huge aspect,
41:35so it's really important
41:36that we get this right.
41:37Yeah, absolutely.
41:38What are we thinking?
41:39So there's going to be
41:39lots of trees.
41:40So I was thinking
41:41of using the spike lights.
41:42I mean,
41:43we've got a lot of options
41:44for outdoor lighting.
41:45It's a lot of people's
41:45first impressions to the house,
41:47so we have to make sure
41:47that it really stands out.
41:49Absolutely.
41:50Feeling okay.
41:51The boys from Love It Landscaping
41:52have been a bit of progress outside.
41:55I think we're going to have
41:56a beautiful front yard
41:57and I think the garage door.
42:00That is great.
42:02The real one
42:03is going to be
42:05really incredible.
42:07It's a statement piece.
42:08The water feature is a statement piece.
42:10The $30,000 outdoor cinema
42:12is a statement piece.
42:13Like, we've thrown everything
42:13at this front yard
42:14because $50,000 off the reserve
42:15is amazing
42:16and imagine walking away
42:17with an MG
42:18and parking one in the driveway.
42:21It's the week to win.
42:22Yeah.
42:23What at stake.
42:30Have a bed.
42:31Ah, not all right.
42:32Just putting a landscape together.
42:35Who would you say
42:36is the hardest worker
42:38out of Em and Ben?
42:41I would say Emma
42:43because she's 12,
42:4520 weeks pregnant.
42:47Oh, f***.
42:48I also think
43:00you're a hard worker too, Benji.
43:02Like, you do a lot
43:03of back-end work.
43:07Will!
43:09I need a paintbrush
43:10before Bunnings closes.
43:12No, not really.
43:13Okay.
43:14All right, I'm a hard worker.
43:16But our official
43:17Bunnings hardest workers
43:18have hit another
43:20stumbling block
43:20in a week
43:24that's been full of them
43:25for the boys.
43:25I go for a drive
43:32to the other side
43:33of Melbourne
43:34to pick up some
43:34garden edging.
43:3930 metres worth
43:41of our curve
43:41we're using
43:42and they gave him
43:43one lead.
43:44Been dazed and confused
43:46for so long
43:47it's not true
43:48I'm about
43:49to explode.
43:52I've done four hours
43:53in the car
43:53for one little
43:55bit of steel
43:55and a peg.
43:56One I should have had
43:5716 lengths.
43:58I'm ready to kill
44:07someone.
44:09I'm ready to kill
44:09someone.
44:12I listened to some
44:13murder podcasts
44:14on the way there
44:15so do you know what?
44:16Don't tempt me right
44:17now
44:17because I'm
44:18volatile.
44:22What?
44:22Four more days
44:30not that I'm counting.
44:32I think you'll miss
44:33this lot.
44:34Do you know what?
44:35I'm going to miss
44:36seeing everyone
44:36every day
44:37because we've sort of
44:38we haven't thought of
44:39we've created a little
44:40family dynamic
44:41with everyone
44:42like everyone has
44:43their ups and downs
44:43but best friends do
44:45family does
44:46it's only normal
44:47especially in a high
44:48pressure environment
44:48like this
44:49but I'm going to miss
44:51seeing them all
44:51every day.
44:52you know
44:53even the crazy ones.
44:59What's she doing?
45:00Just smacking the boxes.
45:01Smack of the box!
45:02Smack of the box!
45:07I'm going to miss her
45:08a lot.
45:09We love her.
45:10Hold me.
45:11Okay.
45:12Spin me around now.
45:14Nine.
45:15One more, one more.
45:18Oh,
45:19I feel weird
45:20in my tummy.
45:22I just love Matt.
45:24I love him so much.
45:25Makes me emotional.
45:26Alicia.
45:28Are you still
45:29defying me?
45:30I'm on to you Gold Coast,
45:31I'm on to you.
45:32He's one of those people
45:34that you could be having
45:35the worst day
45:35and he'll just give you
45:36the biggest,
45:38most heartfelt hug
45:39and he'll just say
45:40something so off the cuff
45:42and so inappropriate.
45:43If you're still on my couch,
45:45I'm going to steal your husband.
45:47That no matter how much
45:49you're crying,
45:49you have to stop and laugh.
45:50Such a good person.
45:51Cheers, girl.
45:52Cheers.
45:53Cheers.
45:53What I love about Leesh.
45:56Whoever loses
45:57is in the pool.
45:58Same, same.
45:59She said,
46:00if we win this week,
46:01I'm giving the car to my mum.
46:02She wants to win
46:03to do something nice
46:05for other people.
46:05Stop it!
46:07Oh, my God!
46:07Oh, my God!
46:08Oh, my God!
46:09Oh, my God!
46:09Oh, my God!
46:09Oh, my God!
46:09Oh, my God!
46:09There's not many people
46:11you come across in your life
46:12that are as kind
46:13and as genuine.
46:14Go, Leesh!
46:15Go, Leesh!
46:16Go, Leesh!
46:17She's just such
46:22a kind soul.
46:23And I feel so fortunate
46:25that both the boys
46:26have been our neighbours,
46:27that we've got to do
46:28this ride with them.
46:29It means a lot to us.
46:32Tomorrow night...
46:33I've done something.
46:34I actually don't know
46:36what to say.
46:36Yeah?
46:37It's crazy.
46:38There are some
46:38unwelcome surprises
46:40for our blockheads.
46:42Whoa, whoa, whoa!
46:43That hasn't been proved.
46:44Yes, it has.
46:45Just one thing
46:46after another.
46:47Hello?
46:47It's feeling like,
46:49oh, my gosh,
46:49what else could go wrong?
46:51And in the final days,
46:52the competition
46:53gets rock hard.
46:55It was awesome
46:56seeing such
46:57a massive structure
46:58erected.
46:59I feel like I need
47:00something a little bit larger.
47:03Uh...
47:04I just don't get it.
