00:00Thank you. So why are you ladies here today outside of the Tanya Hotel?
00:04I'm here today because I've been waiting nearly 19 years. I'm homeless with four children
00:10and I've been up the housing several times for many years and they took me out and said
00:16they've got no properties, they've got no room for me. They shipped me out to Ilford
00:20about five months ago to talk me out of my support network. They took my children away
00:25from their schools. The children have failed all their exams and one of my children got
00:33sexually assaulted on the Lizbeth line and now she won't come out of her bedroom. My kids
00:38are isolated and they've just ruined my life. And to feel like this, they can put me in this
00:45hotel, do you know what I mean, with my kids and let them live a little bit but oh no, they've
00:49got nothing for me and I'm born and bred here. I've worked here all my life. You know, I've
00:5546, they took me away from this. They took me away from my support network. I've got nobody.
01:00Why do you think the government seems to prioritise, you know, foreign men who've
01:04just come over here on boats straight away?
01:07My daughter suffers with severe anxiety, dyslexia and everything. She's worked from the
01:12age of 16. She's 28 now, had her first child and that's a private rent out of London because
01:17they will not have her here. So she's got a baby now, on her own, with none of her family
01:21around her. Stuck out of London because they will not, they will not house her here.
01:26Did you guys know that just under 50% of social housing in London is headed by, the head of
01:32the household is foreign born? Did you guys know that fact?
01:35Not really, no. We never know. We don't know no facts, do we? We just know.
01:38We just know, like I said, my daughter's work from the minute she's left school.
01:42She's got no chance. They've got no future. They've got nothing, absolutely nothing.
01:47If I'm 46 and I haven't got a permanent property and not a roof over my head, my kids
01:52are 17, 10 and 19, they have got no chance in this world or so ever.
01:56What would you say to Keir Starmer and others who are spending billions of pounds on this
02:00rather than housing, you know, English people?
02:02Can't speak about the man. Can't speak about him. It's a disgrace. Absolute disgrace.
