00:12But in terms of the people who have come in, and it looks like there might be about 36 or 40,000 by the end of it, are we supposed to support them for the rest of their lives?
00:22Is that supposed to be them coming in here to get a free house and free benefits and all the rest of it?
00:27Because if we're giving them a free house when they get here, what incentive is for them to pay for anything?
00:33Well, again, under the current system and what they would qualify for, the answer is basically yes.
00:40I mean, I'm sure a lot of them will choose to work, but we are making it a choice.
00:45Yeah, but if they choose to work, what's the point of them choosing to work to try and buy a house if they've already got a free one?
00:51Yeah, or a car or whatever it might be.
00:53I mean, particularly for social housing, especially if there are children in your household, then the way that the housing list works, you will go straight to the top of the housing list.
01:10So it's inevitable that there will be a lot of British people who are waiting on that social housing list who will go down many, many, many places.
