00:00There isn't supposed to be a vehicle parked on the street overnight.
00:04I don't give a... I don't want to argue with you.
00:06No, then leave. Then go. Go away.
00:10Listen, the covenants say it needs to be moved every day. It's moved every day.
00:13Yeah, but then it's back there all night.
00:15Because he sleeps here.
00:16We got a letter in the mail basically lighting us up as being bad parents,
00:20all because we were allowing my husband's personal truck to be parked on the street.
00:24I am on the HOA board for Blackmore,
00:26so I believe they sent out an email that if there were any problems or concerns, you take it to them.
00:30Is this how they told you to deal with this complaint?
00:33The complaints that they've received were anonymous.
00:36So who can't be the adult here and come talk to me face-to-face as a person with the issues?
00:41How is this truck affecting anybody?
00:42They haven't broken any of the HOA's rules, so they want to find out who's been making complaints.
00:48There's a truck parked right there. There's more down this whole street.
00:51I know.
00:51There hasn't been one issue.
00:53It's just people causing, literally, they have nothing better to do than sit here and complain about crap.
00:59I'm not complaining.
01:00I'm just taking a request or an inquiry from a resident as a member of the Covenants Committee.
01:07I'm not a, trust me, I'm a peacemaker.
01:10As long as I have been in this community, if there has been anything as far as a violation, I personally have gone, like you're suggesting.
01:23Of course, in response to the letter, I had to say something.
01:26I had a response, but the person sent no return address, no phone number, no name, nothing.
01:31So what I had to do, so I could ensure the person would see it, is I wrote out the letter, and then I posted it at our mailboxes.
01:39Well, you're just a new member of the Covenants Committee.
01:41And what is your name?
01:42Lauren Lyne.
01:43Okay.
01:43I'm the one that submitted the letter as a response.
01:46They want to stop any neighbors turning up to their home with trivial complaints.
01:50I don't know how to recall that email.
01:53Oh, no, it wasn't an email.
01:54I posted a response by the mailboxes, and I put my name everywhere, so that person knows who they can come and talk to if they've got issues.
02:01I was not aware of that.
02:02After joining the HOA board, she now understands that the neighbors are breaking their own rules.
02:07The Covenant Committee also have a process of reporting violations, and this is not how you do it.
02:11Okay, I'll go on.
02:13I'm happy to go on.
02:14And I apologize for, I mean, I'm not.
02:19I understand what you're doing.
02:20I hope you understand where I'm coming from.
02:23Absolutely.
02:24Just as things start to calm down, another neighbor intervenes.
02:27So if I'm gone all night and I'm parked during the day, is that a problem?
02:31Yes, it is.
02:32Why?
02:32It's moved during the day.
02:34Okay.
02:35We were told that per the HOA, the vehicles that are parked on the street have to be moved every two days.
02:41We switched out his cars.
02:43His personal truck, he never drives.
02:45So we parked that in the driveway because it can stay there without being moved.
02:48And he uses his work truck every day, so it's now on the street because now it's moved every day.
02:52Today, it all kind of restarted.
02:55We hadn't heard really anything.
02:57We got a response from HOA saying, if you have a complaint, instead of sending letters or posting letters by the mailboxes, you have to go to the HOA board.
