Backbenchers chief hits out at Hamzah’s ‘fact-free’ Opposition budget

Paya Besar MP and Barisan Nasional Backbenchers Club chairman Datuk Mohd Shahar Abdullah took a jab at Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin (PN–Larut) during the Budget 2026 debate in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Oct 13), criticising the opposition’s alternative budget for lacking factual basis and a clear plan on how it would be financed.
