00:04Romania's president, Nikis Ordan, has made Moscow's position crystal clear.
00:10He says Russia is fully responsible for the overnight drone crash.
00:14No ambiguity. No room for Moscow to maneuver. Full responsibility.
00:20And then he went further.
00:22Romania is now expelling the Russian consul from the southeastern city of Konstanta.
00:28The consulate is being shut down.
00:31The Russian diplomat has been declared persona non grata.
00:35That is a significant diplomatic escalation.
00:38That is a country that has just been hit, hitting back through every channel available to it, short of a
00:45missile.
00:46But it does not stop there.
00:48Romania is now signaling it could invoke Article 4 of the NATO charter.
00:53For those who do not know what that means, Article 4 is the consultation clause.
00:59It is what a NATO member triggers when it believes its territorial integrity or security is under threat.
01:06It is the step before Article 5.
01:09The step before collective defense kicks in.
01:13Romania is saying we are close to that line.
01:16And NATO heard it.
01:18The alliance responded saying it is ready to defend every inch of Romanian territory against Russia.
01:25Not some of it. Every inch.
01:28The United States echoed that almost word for word.
01:32U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matt Whitaker condemned what he called Russia's reckless incursion on Romanian territory.
01:40He said Washington stands firmly with Romania.
01:43And then he said the line that will be heard in Moscow tonight.
01:47We will defend every inch of NATO territory.
01:51Now this is significant for one very specific reason.
01:56This is the Trump administration saying it.
01:59The same administration that has often been accused of being soft on Russia.
02:04The same administration that took a different posture to Biden on Ukraine.
02:09And yet, here they are.
02:11Unambiguous.
02:12Standing with a NATO ally against a Russian drone.
02:15That tells you how serious this incident is being treated at the highest levels.
02:21Now Russia, of course, has its own version.
02:24Kremlin spokesperson Maria Zakharova says the entire episode is being hyped by Western nations to distract from what happened in
02:33Sterobilsk last week,
02:34where Russian officials claim Ukraine struck a student dormitory with drone attacks, killing 21 students.
02:42Ukraine denies targeting civilians.
02:44Putin himself has been briefed.
02:47He is, quote, aware of the incident.
02:50And the Russian foreign ministry says it will respond to Romania's decision to expel the consul.
02:56So here is where we stand tonight.
02:59A Russian drone has hit a NATO member state.
03:02Romania is expelling Russia's consul.
03:05NATO is invoking defensive language.
03:07The U.S. is backing every inch of the alliance.
03:11And Moscow is framing all of it as a distraction.
03:14Two nuclear-armed sides, one incident, and a charter clause that is one step away from collective war.
03:22Article 4 is on the table.
03:25Article 5 is right behind it.
03:27And somewhere in Galati, there's a building with a Russian drone-shaped hole in it that just changed the temperature
03:34of this entire war.
03:36Article 6.
03:37Article 5 is the use ofLife Law
04:03biomedical cinemas
04:05Now.
