This true incident reveals the reality of the grave, the severity of Allah’s punishment, and the mercy found in Surah Yaseen.

During a heavy rainfall, part of a graveyard collapsed and one grave opened. What people saw inside was shocking…

A black snake was inside the grave, repeatedly biting the forehead of the deceased. Each time the snake struck, the body trembled as if in pain. People were terrified, speechless, unable to understand what was happening.

One man tried to stop the snake but the snake bit him too—and he died instantly.

At that moment, an elderly man (buzurg) stepped forward. He recognized that this was not an ordinary snake, but a punishment of the grave.
He sat near the grave and began to recite Surah Yaseen.
As he recited, the snake slowly began to shrink… and then disappeared completely.

The elder said:

“Whenever you see something strange or frightening near a grave, do not panic. Recite Surah Yaseen. With the permission of Allah, the punishment will be removed.”

This incident teaches us:

✅ Surah Yaseen carries immense power and mercy

Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
"The grave is the first stage of the Hereafter. If one succeeds there, the rest will be easy."
