00:00Brad, I know this may sound like a little bit of a meatball question,

00:04but the Cleveland Browns have been active.

00:07Besides trading Joe Flacco, which got a lot of attention,

00:10they traded Greg Newsome, a cornerback who was on the market.

00:13They acquired a left tackle in Cam Robinson who was on the market.

00:18Boy, if there was a team that needed a left tackle and a cornerback,

00:21I wonder where that might be.

00:23Why weren't the Bears more active, or were they, to your knowledge,

00:25and seeking maybe help or being interested in Greg Newsome and or Cam Robinson?

00:31Yeah, I mean, I don't think Cam Robinson is that guy anymore.

00:37Like, there's a reason he has bounced around.

00:40I believe he was traded in season last year as well.

00:47And Greg Newsome probably a fell-out-of-favor situation there.

00:53The Bears have got, you know, players to put out there.

00:59Like, they don't have a ton of guys missing there at corner right now.

01:05Newsome's one of those older guys as well.

01:09He's been around for a while.

01:10So, yeah, I wouldn't confuse activity for achievement.

01:21And they've got to put their guys out there,

01:24and their guys have got to get better.

01:27And this isn't the, let's start trading and adding these pieces

01:34and go for it year for them.

01:36This is year one for Ben Johnson.

01:38They're trying to figure out who's going to be with them

01:42and where they're going to need to go out and get players.

01:46And the just massive pendulum swing that I see when I, you know,

01:52answer mailbag questions or whatever on social media,

01:56in a couple weeks' time, you know, after the Detroit game,

02:00it's burn everything down, this still sucks, et cetera,

02:03to after, like this past weekend,

02:07how so many games in the NFC went the Bears' way

02:11that their playoff stock got a big boost.

02:14And playoff stock?

02:17They're in last place in the division right now.

02:20And they've won two in a row,

02:24and you're hopeful they can build off of that.

02:27But there's a long ways to go.
