00:00What's it like to see Andrew Vaughn succeed?
00:03Oh, yeah.
00:03You know, I was really happy with that for a couple different reasons.
00:07Number one, when Andrew was with the White Sox, he was always Andrew Vaughn,
00:13first-round draft pick, third-player chosen overall,
00:17winner of the Golden Spikes, and, you know, destined for greatness.
00:20And there was a lot of pressure on him all the time.
00:24And number one, I really like him.
00:26I always did.
00:27Number two, I always thought that there was, you know,
00:29I didn't think he would be a home-run hitter per se,
00:31but I thought he'd be a pretty decent hitter.
00:33And I love the fact that he had the opportunity.
00:37You know, you go from a team that's going to finish way up the track like the Sox,
00:41and you get to a team that's going to be in contention all year like the Brewers,
00:44and you don't have to be the star.
00:46You just have to be a guy.
00:48There's a lot of other guys that are the stars on that team,
00:51and so they put Andrew in to be just another guy who can hit line drives.
00:55And they told him, don't be anybody else but yourself,
00:57and go out there and forget everything that happened to you.
01:00You've hit your whole life.
01:01You know you're going to be able to hit, so go out and do it.
01:04And he hit .308 with the Brewers.
01:07I'm not sure exactly how many games it was, 48 games, something along those lines.
01:1064 games.
01:1264 games, .308 and .375 on base.
01:15Yeah, I think that's pretty impressive.
01:17And I like the fact that they gave him the opportunity.
01:20They put him into a meaningful spot in the batting order where he could drive in some runs,
01:24and he's able to do that.
01:26So I feel very, very happy for Andrew Vaughn.
01:30And, you know, sometimes you get a break in this game,
01:33and you go from a team that's not going to win for a while to a team that's already knocking at the door,
01:38and that's what Andrew did when he went to Milwaukee.
01:41I think that's what Andrew Vaughn is going to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while to win for a while.
