00:00Yeah, I think we heard Coach Johnson, you know, speak about the interior defensive line.
00:05He said it's probably a more underrated group than most outside observers realize.
00:09He thinks they're better than we seem to think they are.
00:11And they've made some investments there.
00:13You look at bringing in Neville Gallimore, Contavious Street, going into the draft and getting Jordan Vandenberg.
00:17And I think, you know, they feel like there is a little bit more talent there.
00:21And if they feel that they aren't going to make a long-term commitment to Javon Dexter at any point
00:26this season or after this season,
00:28then they might as well get something for him because he's going to be a free agent after this.
00:32And so could you potentially have a situation where he's very, very motivated and he goes out there and has
00:37a really big season
00:38where he's an 8-10 sack guy from the interior of your defense?
00:41Possibly, right?
00:42We've been waiting on that type of performance from him since he's gotten here.
00:45He's got all the physical traits.
00:46He's huge.
00:47He's athletic.
00:48When he puts all those things together, he can be dominant on the field.
00:51You just don't see it consistently.
00:53And so, you know, if the Bears don't feel like there's a long-term solution there,
00:56and you look at the slash plays and the development of Jordan Vandenberg.
01:00And so he continues to show himself to be somebody who's going to be in the rotation.
01:04If they think he can continue to develop and by the end of the season become even more than that,
01:09then it stands to reason that they wouldn't want to make a heavy investment in Javon Dexter.
01:13And so if that's going to be the case and they feel like they can get something for him now,
01:16I understand that.
