00:06game, the Suns accomplished exactly what they set out to do. They showcased a style of play

00:17no matter the results. This was clear in their decisive 103-81 victory over the Los Angeles

00:23Lakers on Friday, where the team's intentions and cohesion stood out. Unlike last season's

00:29confusion, the Suns demonstrated effective defensive tactics, smooth switches, assertive

00:34closeouts, and a clear plan. Under new head coach Jordan Ott, the Suns brought aggressive rebounding,

00:40full court pressure, and a level of hustle that had been missing. Such a transformation is only

00:46possible with player commitment, and Ott seems to have earned it early on. Players like Grayson Allen,

00:52Dylan Brooks, and Nigel Hayes-Dee are fueling this renewed energy and focus. Last year,

00:57Allen often found himself isolated, especially when Ryan Dunn, Oso Iguodaro, and Colin Gillespie

01:04weren't on the floor. Brooks stood out by consistently doing the little things on defense,

01:10navigating screens, creating deflections and blocking lanes. His play reminded everyone of

01:15the essential duties of a perimeter defender, and the difference from last year is striking.

01:20The Lakers, missing both Luka Doncic and LeBron James, played with the typical preseason

01:25disorganization. This allowed the Suns to jump out to an early lead, stretching it to 25 points

01:30within five minutes of the third quarter. The Suns were also without Jalen Green and Mark Williams,

01:35two key starters who usually support Devin Booker on offense. In their absence, Allen and Iguodaro

01:40stepped up, with Allen's inclusion over Gillespie highlighting his growth and importance.

01:44Booker is expected to take on the point guard role, while Iguodaro has emerged as a perfect fit
