00:00You said we look more athletic. Is that just a massive thing now? Has it gone to a different planet really?
00:05I think so, yeah. I think if you look at, the big thing for me is when the Premier League boys come
00:09and you watch some of them that are absolute units, I think.
00:13If you look at our team, especially in the wide areas, you've had Paul Thierry who started the season fantastically well
00:18and they're athletic and you need that, you need legs and if you don't, you're going to struggle.
00:24I think Thierry's got that rawness as well where you don't know what he's going to do
00:27but then he'll leave a score or I'll put it on a play for someone else.
00:31Yeah, you definitely need that. I think if you look at the teams that get promoted,
00:35every single one of them has got athleticism and you need it right away throughout the team.
00:38Yeah, when you play the likes of Villa, after it you're thinking, how can we get close to that?
00:42What can we do?
00:43Yeah, I think you can set up tactically as best as possible.
00:46But sometimes you look at the top boys at the top end of the pitch, they're just monsters
00:51and they're technically good as well. That's why they're playing in probably the best league in the world.
00:55The biggest one was Arsenal for me when they come and I've seen Noannieri play.
01:00I can't believe how old he is, but he was the best burner pitch by a mile
01:03and he was strong as an ox at that age as well.
01:07So that's the biggest difference now, I think, the way that football's going.
01:10It's becoming a massively transitional game and you need to be able to run
01:14and if you don't, you'll struggle.
01:15Have you got a really good feel here now at the moment?
01:18Is it almost a feeling you've wanted throughout your time here?
01:20It just looks all there for you really to go on?
01:22Yeah, me and the manager had this conversation towards the back end of the year, I think.
01:27The manager sort of said the change he's going to make and he's definitely come off.
01:31I think pre-season again, massive, massive part of it, getting the lads in nice and early.
01:34Yeah, and sort of the manager pre-season.
01:38He's made it fun, he's made it a fun place to be.
01:40He's brought some good people in, in Jason and Lids.
01:43We've come in and helped massively as well.
01:45So, yeah, there's a massive feel-good vibe to the place as well.
01:48Obviously, the new sponsor that we've got in Sport Bros, they've come in and sort of lit the place up as well.
01:52So, yeah, the club's a massively exciting place to be at the minute and, yeah, long may continue.
01:57Yeah, I know you've enjoyed your time here, but it has been a bit up and down, hasn't it?
02:00Alex was here in a flash, Frankie is similar.
02:02Yeah, it's been quite strange.
02:03And then it was broken down two and a half years.
02:04Yeah, definitely, I think.
02:06Yeah, it was strange.
02:07Obviously, Alex was coming towards the end.
02:09Obviously, he lost a lot of his players, which, fair enough, and brought a lot of players in in that January.
02:14Frankie obviously come in, did well for the back end of the season and sort of petered out.
02:18And then, yeah, Ryan's time here was very up and down, I think, from a supporter's point of view and Ryan's point of view.
02:24But, again, I think if you look at the position where Ryan finished, it's one of them.
02:29It's what do you want?
02:31And then the new managers come in and have been fantastic as well.
02:34I know it didn't look that way at the back end of the season, rightly so, in terms of the fans being disappointed.
02:40But in terms of the performances, it wasn't as bad as everyone made out.
02:44I understand everyone's got their own opinion.
02:45But we just couldn't either get over the line or there was something that would go in or something that would go against us in terms of maybe a decision.
02:54And this season has gone for us.
02:55Dan's made some fantastic saves and we put the ball in the net on the other end.
