00:00Let me be very clear, there is a genocide going on in front of our very eyes.

00:05A live streamed genocide on all of our phones.

00:09No one has the privilege to say we are not aware of what is happening.

00:15No one in the future will be able to say we did not know.

00:20Under international law, states have a legal obligation to act,

00:26to prevent and to stop a genocide from happening.

00:31That means ending complicity, applying real pressure and ending arms transfers.

00:39We are not seeing that. We are not even seeing the bare minimum from our governments.

00:45Our international systems are betraying Palestinians.

00:48They are not even able to prevent the worst war crimes from happening.

00:56And I will never, ever comprehend how humans can be so evil

01:03that you would deliberately starve millions of people

01:09living trapped under an illegal siege

01:12as a continuation of decades and decades of suffocating oppression,

01:18apartheid and occupations.

01:21The global summit for Tilak was the biggest ever attempt

01:25to break Israel's illegal and inhumane siege by sea.

01:30And it is a story of global, international solidarity,

01:37of people stepping up when our governments failed to do so,

01:40of people saying that my leaders, so-called leaders who are supposed to represent me,

01:47who continue to fuel a genocide, death and destruction,

01:51they do not represent me.

01:54And this is a last resort that this mission has to exist.

01:58And I could talk for a very, very long time about our mistreatment

02:08and abuses in our imprisonment, trust me.

02:11But that is not the story.

02:13What happened here was that Israel, while continuing to worsen and escalate their genocide

02:20and mass destruction with genocidal intent, attempting to erase an entire population,

02:26an entire nation in front of our very eyes.
