00:00:27I want to see what I am capable of.
00:00:30I'm having such a beautiful time.
00:00:32Now I've had a tear through that feeling.
00:00:34I feel so good.
00:00:38It's a tough journey, but I'm here for it.
00:00:40It's the first elimination and someone has to go.
00:00:44Everything starts to get a little bit real now.
00:00:48I'm desperate for this journey to carry on.
00:00:50Airfish debt matters.
00:00:53The competition is fierce.
00:00:56Every dance you have to make happen.
00:00:59It is knockout now.

00:01:28That's what you?!
00:02:00It is week two in the ballroom.
00:02:05Tonight, our 15 stars perform again and you get to have your say as we open the vote for the very first time.
00:02:13And here's four people who will also be making their opinions known.
00:02:17Please welcome the judges.
00:02:21Craig Rebel Horwood and Moxie Mabuse.
00:02:26Shirley Ballas and Anton DuVay.
00:02:59The judges' scores from last week have been carried over and will be added to tonight's.
00:03:04And we'll then combine these with your votes and the bottom two couples will be left to face the dance-off.
00:03:10For the very first time each week, a different judge will have the casting vote for the dance-off.
00:03:16We will find out who has this responsibility at the end of tonight's show.
00:03:23Can't wait.
00:03:24With the first elimination looming, they are all looking to impress you tonight.
00:03:27So please welcome our Strictly Stars.
00:06:21We's right back.
00:06:23Tick in my head.
00:06:24It's this hand jive.
00:06:25That's all I know.
00:06:26It's a fast paced dance.
00:06:27A lot of kicks.
00:06:29Tick and flicks.
00:06:30And the energy.
00:06:31You're like five, six, and I'm like, yeah, let's go.
00:06:35I've got one of my tour shows this week, so there's a lot going on.
00:06:37It's not just the jive, it's touring.
00:06:39Who does that?
00:06:40I'm gonna go see La Voix show. I've been dying to see this. I don't know what to expect.
00:06:47I got my Britney mic. We're ready.
00:06:51Welcome, welcome to The Madness. This is wonderful.
00:06:57I'm currently doing Strictly, that's why I'm walking a bit funny and I'm exhausted.
00:07:06I cannot carry on in tattoos.
00:07:09Is there anyone anywhere who could bring on my shoe?
00:07:14Hello everyone!
00:07:17I'm having the best time with this man.
00:07:19Shall we show you a bit of the routine?
00:07:31Wow! You're incredible!
00:07:34Oh my God, they went crazy for you! I loved it!
00:07:36I'm blown away by you, honestly. I'm so inspired. That was brilliant.
00:07:41If we can get a little bit of that on a Saturday on Strictly floor, we're gonna be golden.
00:07:46Yes, we need to channel that.
00:07:54Dancing the Jump, La Voix and Alias Scorianos.
00:07:57members of the Strictly Chair
00:07:59here, the team will be glad to have.
00:08:00They're definitely the best to watch out.
00:08:01If you want more, they have to be happy and want to be happy.
00:08:03Here, let's go visit one of the sessions.
00:08:04Who's got the fun?
00:08:05Who's got the fun?
00:08:06You're good.
00:08:07Who's got the fun?
00:08:08Who's got the fun?
00:08:09Who's got the fun?
00:08:10Who's got the fun?
00:08:11Who's got the fun?
00:08:12Who's got the fun?
00:08:14She's got a thought that she's so irresistible
00:08:20All the damage she's caused is infixable
00:08:25Objunction, I don't want to be the exception
00:08:29To get a bit of your attention
00:08:31I know you're free and I'm not your mother
00:08:34But you don't even bother
00:08:37Objunction, I'm tired of this triangle
00:08:40Got dizzy, dancing tango
00:08:43I'm falling apart in your hands again
00:08:46No way, I got you, get away
00:08:54This is pathetic and sadonic and sadistic and psychotic
00:08:57Tango is not but free, was never meant to be
00:09:00But you can try it, rehearse it, a dream like a horse
00:09:03Don't you count on me, don't you count on me
00:09:06Objunction, I don't want to be the exception
00:09:09To get a bit of your attention
00:09:11I know you're free and I'm not your mother
00:09:14But you don't even bother
00:09:17Objunction, I'm tired of this triangle
00:09:20Got dizzy, dancing tango
00:09:22I'm falling apart in your hands again
00:09:25No way, I got you
00:09:27Get away
00:09:29Get away
00:09:32Get away
00:09:34Get away
00:09:35Tess
00:09:36Well gone, well gone
00:09:50Here I am my love, I'm here
00:09:52I was here when you made me
00:09:54Oh my gosh
00:09:56First the pony didn't fail
00:09:58We thought that was gonna be a tango
00:10:01And I thought you didn't have this at the Blackpool Dance Festival 1983
00:10:04Did you clearly?
00:10:05No
00:10:06No
00:10:07One thing's for sure, you still know how to put on a show
00:10:09Thank you
00:10:10Thank you
00:10:11And you clearly used to work at Bolin's
00:10:12Thank you
00:10:13Look at this
00:10:14It catches on the red, it catches on
00:10:16How was that jive?
00:10:18Well first of all, you certainly know how to push her strengths
00:10:23Which is her personality and the narrative
00:10:25So that's a plus
00:10:26That's gonna carry you a long way in this show
00:10:27Jive should have a lot more rotation than this actually had
00:10:30But for a beginner that's never done jive before
00:10:32You actually had quite a good knee bounce
00:10:34Just something for everybody to look up for
00:10:36There was eight sets of eight before you started to dance your jive
00:10:38And four sets of eight in the middle where you didn't do any jive
00:10:40And I think you're a better dancer than that
00:10:42So bear in mind when you put little bits on the beginning
00:10:44Keep it short because we don't do any jive
00:10:47And I think you're a better dancer than that
00:10:49So bear in mind when you put little bits on the beginning
00:10:51Keep it short because we really want to be entertained
00:10:54With your dancing
00:10:55Oh, thank you
00:11:00No fear of not being entertained
00:11:02I don't think there's any fear of not being entertained with your dancing
00:11:05Amazing, all your skill and your attributes come to the fore
00:11:09As soon as you start performing
00:11:11Your timing is immaculate, your dance timing is perfect
00:11:13Your comedic timing as we know is absolutely bang on as well
00:11:17When you're doing the jive section there
00:11:19Your kicks and flicks of which there were a lot
00:11:21Your standing foot was pretty placed on the floor
00:11:23So it didn't give you any bounce
00:11:24I think the free leg was working beautifully
00:11:26You'll be delighted to hear
00:11:28So you're halfway there essentially
00:11:30He didn't teach me about the standing legs
00:11:32He's going to be next week
00:11:34I appreciate that, thank you
00:11:36But you know
00:11:37Why would you tell them?
00:11:39You said it doesn't matter they won't notice
00:11:41I know but just you
00:11:42I know but just you
00:11:43It's a national carry, look at that
00:11:46I mean
00:11:48That is my last day on the job
00:11:53I would love to see a little bit more weight darling
00:11:55Over the toe
00:11:56That's sort of like leaning forward a little bit
00:11:58Slip on the standing leg of course
00:12:01It looked a bit flat from here
00:12:04But what I did love about it
00:12:06Was you kept it completely and deliciously compact
00:12:10Yes!
00:12:11There we go!
00:12:12It's amazing if you want to come
00:12:14And as Anton said
00:12:16Your personality and comic timing is exquisite
00:12:18Thank you
00:12:19Isn't it?
00:12:20All week
00:12:21Boom
00:12:22I'm so pleased
00:12:23All week he's been saying
00:12:24Keep your legs together
00:12:25And I was thankful so much
00:12:27That I've worked really hard on that
00:12:29So thank you
00:12:30Really good advice
00:12:31Thank you
00:12:32Well done
00:12:33It helps
00:12:34It helps
00:12:35Keep the legs together
00:12:36Yes
00:12:37And everything is good
00:12:38So
00:12:39I'm going to try
00:12:40I don't know now
00:12:41Hey this one might be for you
00:12:42Listen
00:12:43Safety first
00:12:45I would love to speak about the upper part of the body
00:12:48Because that's quite important as well
00:12:50So the legs tied together
00:12:52The upper part of the body needs to breathe
00:12:54And be a little bit more flexible
00:12:56So if we get a little bit of movement there
00:12:59Then you can
00:13:00Chica boom chica boom
00:13:01Oh yes
00:13:02We like it
00:13:03Yes
00:13:04And downstairs tight
00:13:05But you're always entertaining
00:13:06With a lot of class
00:13:07And I enjoy that very much
00:13:08Stop it
00:13:09Don't
00:13:10Leave it
00:13:11Leave it
00:13:12Relax
00:13:13Wow
00:13:14We love you Lamar
00:13:16Opening the show in your own unique style
00:13:19Thank you
00:13:20It was jive
00:13:21It was jive
00:13:22Thank you
00:13:23Thank you
00:13:24Thank you
00:13:25Thank you so much
00:13:26Thank you
00:13:27I love you
00:13:28I love you
00:13:29I love you
00:13:30Come on
00:13:31Come on
00:13:33Oh my God
00:13:35By the way
00:13:38We all just need two hours of that
00:13:40As you reply
00:13:41To the judges
00:13:42I know I haven't
00:13:43I'm too busy learning dancing aren't we
00:13:45And petrifying
00:13:47Of going first hideous going Charlie and of course Karen and Lewis were like
00:13:52Incredible doing the jive last week and we wanted an athlete one was in doing tapping Billy Elliot
00:13:56All I've done is JD sports once a week and the only tap I know is in screw fix
00:14:00I mean it's terrible Claudia. No, you did
00:14:04Fantastically well didn't you proud tremendously well?
00:14:06I mean, I've never really had fun in doing jive in my life before and this was more than what a weird place
00:14:18Yeah
00:14:20Horrible time until now good. It's it's important to share your brother and nephew in your TV. Oh, I'm so baby. Oh, yeah
00:14:32Ladies and gentlemen, the judges have their scores Craig revel Hall ball
00:14:43Shirley balance five
00:14:45And Anton do big five

00:16:30Last Saturday Karen became the first footballer to top the leaderboard in 18 years with that incredible jive
00:16:37Nobody saw that coming for week one least of all Karen
00:16:44Saturday was sensational
00:16:46I don't think I've ever seen myself that happy since I played that I get emotional
00:16:54Boom the tango is a fierce dance
00:16:56Every movement has to be powerful and the friend is to be strong every time you in frame that's the feeling
00:17:03I have this thing called Germans had it since I was a kid
00:17:08It's a curve in my spine
00:17:10It's really really hard for me to open my back off this certain elements that I just won't be able to do as well as I'd love to
00:17:18But Carlos is really supportive really encouraging
00:17:22Wow that was great
00:17:24It is a challenging week doing the tango but I've got my best mate Jill Scott coming in today to record the podcast and I can't wait to see her
00:17:31Hello
00:17:33Hello
00:17:37Hello
00:17:38Lovely to meet you
00:17:39I've come to steal her
00:17:40I need to do a podcast
00:17:43How has Kaz been?
00:17:44She's incredible
00:17:45I didn't know that she has that drive and performance side of her
00:17:48When the lights go on that's when Karen Carney is on the lead
00:17:52You know that
00:17:53I'm so proud of Karen and whatever happens she's our winner
00:17:57He keeps saying be a lioness and I'm like
00:18:01That's more like a pussycat
00:18:04It was so nice having Jill with us today
00:18:07But it's time for us to tango
00:18:09Alright let's do it
00:18:10Dancing the tango, Karen Carney and Carlos Gude
00:18:27Are you
00:18:30Someone that I can give my heart to
00:18:35Or just the poison that I'm drawn to
00:18:38It can be hard to tell a different day and night
00:18:46But if you really want to tell me
00:18:50You should know
00:18:51I need someone to hold me close
00:18:53Deeper than I've ever known
00:18:55Whose life goes like a rodeo
00:18:57Knows just how to take control
00:18:59When I'm vulnerable
00:19:01Keep straight talking to myself
00:19:03Conversational
00:19:04But I've got me feeling vertical
00:19:07A rodeo
00:19:09Outro
00:19:11Baix
00:19:13nte
00:19:14Seasons are burning and you compete, now is your time, running when you hear that we're
00:19:22so gone, for someone to tell you to go.
00:19:28You should know I need someone to hold me for deeper than I am alone, to a suckers like
00:19:34a rodeo knows just how to take control, when I'm vulnerable, he's straight talking to
00:19:41a conversation all along, he's draining seasons of the world, draining seasons of the world.
00:20:01That was good!
00:20:04What a look!
00:20:06That was good!
00:20:07That was fun.
00:20:08That was fun.
00:20:09That was fun.
00:20:10Come on Karen.
00:20:12Come on Karen.
00:20:13Oh, I love that dance attitude.
00:20:16How are you?
00:20:17I expect nothing less from our lioness Motsy.
00:20:20Yes, obviously, first of all, thank you for sharing with us about your curved spine.
00:20:26It's going to be something that we have to challenge here to see how far we can really
00:20:31stretch and open up because it's a ballroom dance and there's a specific posture that we
00:20:36need.
00:20:37That being said, last week you were top of the leaderboard and there was a bit of an ease
00:20:42in the way you attacked.
00:20:43This week I could feel the nerves.
00:20:45There was a bit of a jitterbug everywhere.
00:20:47Every spin, great spins by the way, lots of speed and attack, but there was a slight
00:20:51jitterbug with everything that you did.
00:20:53It happens, it happens to us all, so I think you kind of just have to think about breathing,
00:21:00thinking about loosing up, connecting to your partner and really understanding fundamentals.
00:21:06Lowering the tango and the arms, finish your arms using the correct footwork and then we
00:21:11will get there.
00:21:15Fair enough if you're bound to be nerves.
00:21:17Not to live up to from last week, Shirley.
00:21:20Well, I think, Carlos, if you work to keep a well over to your right side would be a great
00:21:25start with the ballroom because it looks a little bit closed in.
00:21:28So the inside of Carlos' right leg, the inside of your right leg, if you're pivoting,
00:21:32you should be working around his right leg.
00:21:34What happened was it crossed over a little bit and then you can kind of see every mistake
00:21:38that happens.
00:21:39But the things I liked at the beginning, you're going to do a great Paso.
00:21:42I can already tell when that comes up because you've got such precision in what you do.
00:21:46It was a cross between Paso and tango, if I'm perfectly honest.
00:21:49I didn't mind it too much, but I do like to see a little bit more authentic tango.
00:21:53But you've got something that when you go out there, you're used to competing and you've
00:21:58got this in your mind and you move forward and you're quite precise in some of the things
00:22:03that you do.
00:22:04So keep working on the right side of his body.
00:22:06Get that in order first, then tackle a little bit of footwork.
00:22:09So well done.
00:22:12In your wing too, isn't it?
00:22:14Anton?
00:22:15Yeah, I agree completely.
00:22:16I know I've focused too much on the body position, but it is something that you can carry forward
00:22:21into your other dances in the ballroom world.
00:22:23Now, Shirley's absolutely right.
00:22:24The further right you go, but I think you can cheat it a bit more than that.
00:22:27I think you can open yourself up.
00:22:29Can I borrow you, Dame Schilt, just for a second?
00:22:32Because you've got very square in here, which made you come very close.
00:22:36I think if you just open very slightly here, so you're on the angle.
00:22:39So you're sort of on the corner of his body a little bit.
00:22:43This will give you naturally a bit more space up here.
00:22:45Then you'll feel a bit more relaxed and you won't get so tense in the shoulder.
00:22:48It is a little bit here.
00:22:49Just a little bit inside, and that creates tension.
00:22:52You feel like there's nowhere to go.
00:22:54Get on the right side.
00:22:55Open slightly.
00:22:56I think this is going to be the key to everything.
00:22:57Just open your body ever so slightly.
00:22:59So you feel like you're perpetually in promenade, but close your head and you'll be fine.
00:23:02Because I think you've got so much to offer and you bring so much.
00:23:05Your timing, your cleanness of your dance, your spins, all of that stuff.
00:23:09I think you're going to be a powerhouse in this competition.
00:23:16Yeah, tango obviously should be more of a Y-frame.
00:23:19So there's more air between your bodies in that way, even though you're joined at the hip.
00:23:24That was a little bit Argentine tango-esque, actually.
00:23:28But I found the whole thing a little bit skippy, I've got to be honest.
00:23:32And it should be sort of just prowling on one level.
00:23:35Some awkwardness in the underarm turns.
00:23:38And I think that's just probably an arm position that you can fix.
00:23:41But you know, you were driving that, my darling.
00:23:44And you hit some really amazingly strong lines.
00:23:47And beautiful handshake.
00:23:49Thank you. Thank you so much.
00:23:51Lots of feedback to take on board there, Karen.
00:23:54You know what, I'll absolutely take on the feedback.
00:23:56And thank you very much.
00:23:58You know what, I had a great time.
00:23:59And that's how many I knew there was mistakes.
00:24:01But this is strictly and I'm having the best time.
00:24:04So I'll take on the feedback.
00:24:05That's what we like to hear.
00:24:07So thank you.
00:24:09Thank you very much.
00:24:10And it's only week two.
00:24:11So you're doing brilliantly.
00:24:13Thank you so much.
00:24:16Thank you, Carlos.
00:24:19Thank you, Carlos.
00:24:20Thank you, Carlos.
00:24:22Thank you, Carlos.
00:24:25Thank you, Carlos.
00:24:27You are so lovely.
00:24:28Because you take those comments on.
00:24:30And they were very constructive, I thought.
00:24:32Did they make sense?
00:24:33Oh, they did. Yeah, and I'm used to football kind of yeah
00:24:37Not criticism but constructive criticism and also sometimes feedback from football in the in a brutal way
00:24:43But that was beautiful. I take them on board
00:24:45I want to be better and acknowledge that and I tried my hardest and that's what you can do in life
00:24:51And also Carlos for this dance you have like four days for the first one you have so much longer
00:24:55Did you really notice the difference?
00:24:57Do you know what like first week you're doing the jive you know hop to dance
00:25:00But you know we have a time to perfection them and this week 200 steps and 40 foot works
00:25:05Listen to me 40 foot works. I have your posture against your natural body
00:25:08So high so like I'm trying to become a chef after watching three tick tocks
00:25:13Yeah, very good analogy. I like it
00:25:17Yeah, we saw Jill Scott one of your greatest friends. How important is it to have to support?
00:25:23The lioness is obviously means so much to me and obviously women's sport
00:25:27So we've backed each other and we always will and that's the way it will always be so I'm grateful for their sport
00:25:33Well, well done. Good luck. Thank you. Will the judges, please reveal their scores
00:25:39Craig Revelholt
00:25:41Oh
00:25:43Thank you. Motsi Mabusei

00:26:06Still to come ellie invito waltz to elton john we cannot wait test
00:26:13Next tonight it is jimmy floyd hasselbank and his partner lauren now last saturday after jimmy's quick step
00:26:19Motsi asked him to work on spreading the joy. He feels inside
00:26:24It's not that so tonight. He's planning on letting loose with the cha-cha
00:26:27I am doing the cha-cha-cha
00:26:35Forward and cha-cha-cha
00:26:37The cha-cha is so different than the quick step quick quick slow, but it is a lot of fun
00:26:44Look at it. He's going enjoy it, but not that much
00:26:50There's a lot of choreography in a cha-cha-cha forward and cha-cha-cha it's very hippie
00:26:55One, two, three, four and I need to let my hips go
00:27:00See those hips I am really trying keep going
00:27:05Jimmy
00:27:07One thing that I am learning about Jimmy is that he gets really frustrated in some moments when he gets in his head and he's thinking too much
00:27:15I'm missing this step. I do get frustrated with myself. No, sorry. Sorry
00:27:21Yeah, I want to I want to get it in my head
00:27:23My background is obviously the football and but you have that winner mentality
00:27:28But I'm doing it too early
00:27:30So you really hard on yourself while you actually need to give yourself a little bit more grace
00:27:35The actual movements you know how to do naturally nobody gets that ever and you're already doing it
00:27:41I have had fun learning this dance and I'm really excited to do this on saturday night with lauren
00:27:51dancing the cha-cha-cha jimie floyd hasselbank and lauren oakley
00:28:02All right
00:28:05All right
00:28:07Oh, I bet you want to highlight you
00:28:21About your plans to make me move
00:28:25With someone like you, you knew before
00:28:29Between the two of the skies, you know I love you more
00:28:33It took me by surprise, I'm gonna say
00:28:37When I found out yesterday
00:28:41Won't you know that I heard it through the wave fight
00:28:45Not much longer would you be mine
00:28:49Oh, I heard it through the wave fight
00:28:53Oh, and I'm just about to lose my mind
00:28:57Honey, honey, yeah
00:29:03Oh, I heard it through the wave fight
00:29:24Oh, I'm just about to lose my mind
00:29:27I bet you're wondering how I knew
00:29:30I heard it through the wave fight
00:29:32Much longer would you be mine, baby
00:29:36CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:29:40Yay!
00:29:42CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:29:45CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:29:49CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:29:51Yeah, mate!
00:29:53You! You! You! You!
00:29:56You! I love that
00:29:58I could tell
00:29:59The smile on your face
00:30:00Honestly?
00:30:01Yes
00:30:02Amazing
00:30:03Amazing
00:30:04Afterwards
00:30:05It's a relief
00:30:06Oh, yeah
00:30:07Did it make you smile, Craig?
00:30:09Well, it was a little bit heavy, I've got to be honest
00:30:12And I think your arms need sorting out
00:30:15I love this Cuban-style cha-cha-cha
00:30:18I've got to say, I absolutely love it
00:30:20And darling, those hips were swinging so much
00:30:22They were
00:30:23They were
00:30:24Hitting the front row, darling
00:30:25I loved it
00:30:26Well, you wanted
00:30:27Excellent
00:30:28Did you see the joy?
00:30:29Did you feel it?
00:30:30Yes, definitely
00:30:31There was joy in the hips
00:30:33Joy in the face
00:30:34It was earthy
00:30:35I wouldn't say heavy
00:30:37I would say earthy
00:30:38It's down to earth
00:30:39There's light cha-cha-chas
00:30:40Where people straighten their knees
00:30:41You went another route
00:30:43Which is okay
00:30:44But I actually love the fact that you enjoyed yourself
00:30:47Last week it looked so concentrated
00:30:49I would like for you to work on your leg action
00:30:52Ah
00:30:53When is the knee bend and when it's straightened
00:30:55But you've got a Latin feeling and we love it
00:30:58Yes
00:30:59Yes
00:31:00Thank you, thank you
00:31:01We love that feeling
00:31:03Shirley
00:31:04Well, I actually think many, many moons ago
00:31:07When Doris Lavelle went to Cuba
00:31:08She actually brought back the cha-cha
00:31:10She did
00:31:11And then she made it all into
00:31:12Straighten the leg here and straighten the leg there
00:31:14But you have what we call
00:31:15You go on the streets of Cuba
00:31:16This is the feeling that you will get
00:31:18Everybody's kind of down
00:31:20It's got the rhythm going
00:31:21It's not all so structured
00:31:23So it had an absolutely fabulous feeling
00:31:26I don't agree it was heavy
00:31:27I'd rather choose the word grounded
00:31:29Yes
00:31:30You actually did some sweethearts in there
00:31:32Some syncopated Cuban breaks
00:31:33Which we made up
00:31:34You know, they're not in Cuba
00:31:35But we made them up here
00:31:36Well here
00:31:37But you know in England
00:31:38We did it
00:31:39We took the steps from them
00:31:40Was I involved?
00:31:41Oh I see
00:31:42But all in all
00:31:43You've got a great chemistry together
00:31:45You lighten up the room
00:31:47I thought you did a grand job
00:31:48Well done
00:31:49Thank you
00:31:50Thank you
00:31:51Thank you
00:31:52Yes
00:31:53Woo
00:31:54I loved it
00:31:55Loved it
00:31:56Yes
00:31:57That's exactly the cha-cha I like
00:31:59I like that cha-cha
00:32:00That cube
00:32:01It's a cube
00:32:02I don't want the straight legs
00:32:03Straight legs make me want to be sick
00:32:05I hate straight legs
00:32:06There
00:32:07Straight legs
00:32:08No
00:32:09Benjini
00:32:10I like it
00:32:11This is cha-cha
00:32:12This is how cha-cha is supposed to be
00:32:13That was what cha-cha was
00:32:14That's the cha-cha-cha
00:32:15We said cha-cha
00:32:16You did cha-cha
00:32:17I like it
00:32:18Thank you very much
00:32:19Thank you
00:32:20Thank you
00:32:21Thank you
00:32:22I think we all loved watching that performance
00:32:24You've done your partner
00:32:25Very proud
00:32:26Very proud
00:32:27I'm so happy
00:32:28Well done
00:32:29Thank you
00:32:30Thank you
00:32:43Well done
00:32:44I'm so relieved
00:32:45I'm so happy when that was done
00:32:46Because it is a tricky dance
00:32:47We found out that Anton can't abide straight legs
00:32:51That's a trick
00:32:52It's good to know
00:32:53We love Anton
00:32:54Talk to me about the alter ego
00:32:55Because it helped this week
00:32:56Yes
00:32:57We had an alter ego
00:32:58We invented Jaime
00:33:00Jaime
00:33:01Yes
00:33:02Which apparently is Jamie in Spanish
00:33:03But then that's Jimmy in Spanish
00:33:04And I don't know
00:33:05Just with a ja
00:33:06Yeah
00:33:07You went with it
00:33:08My favourite thing is you say
00:33:09Lauren who we know is the sweetest woman on the planet
00:33:11Is actually tougher than she looks
00:33:13No she is
00:33:14She's sweet
00:33:15She's sweet
00:33:16But when it has to be work
00:33:17It's no Jimmy
00:33:18Work
00:33:19Yeah
00:33:20I love it
00:33:21Good to know
00:33:22Scores are in
00:33:23The judges have their scores
00:33:25Craig Revel Horwood

00:34:13Woo
00:34:14Last week the top two positions on the leaderboard were both jives and one of them came from our next couple
00:34:20So we've got high hopes for his viennese waltz. It is Lewis and Katya
00:34:28This week is the viennese waltz. I will be breaking down every single element
00:34:36The first figure that anybody would learn is a natural turn which means the leader will
00:34:42Continuously turn to their right first step commences on a heel and it's a big driving step
00:34:50Step two is a sidestep going to create width as you load your knee
00:34:55You're going to stay high on the ball of your foot
00:34:58So the heel doesn't touch the floor surely we'll be looking out for that
00:35:02On the count of three we're gonna complete our step by exchanging weight drag that foot flat soft knees and then we can release
00:35:12Beautiful we'll step backwards with our left to complete the full rotation. I am loving the elegance
00:35:19I'm finding it difficult. There's a lot of components
00:35:22In the reverse turn we're going to be crossing one foot in front of the other to constantly rotate to the left
00:35:29It wouldn't be viennese waltz without a fleckle
00:35:32The fleckle is this crazy
00:35:35Screw-a-rooney that stays on the spot
00:35:38Do you stay on one level or is that up and down no we must stay on one level
00:35:44For me to do this dance justice
00:35:46I not only need to get the emotion right but I need to get the technique right
00:35:50So all I have to do is put all that together for saturday night
00:35:53somehow
00:35:55That's in the viennese waltz lewis cope and katia jones
00:36:01Something got a hold of me lately
00:36:12Oh, I don't know myself anymore
00:36:18Feels like the walls are all closing in
00:36:21And the devil's knocking at my door
00:36:27Out of my mind
00:36:28How many times did I tell you I'm no good at being alone
00:36:35Yeah, sticking a toll on me
00:36:37Trying my best to keep
00:36:39I'm tearing the skin off my bones
00:36:42Don't you know
00:36:44Don't you know
00:36:45I
00:36:46Lose
00:36:47Control
00:36:48When you're not next to me
00:36:54When you're not next to me
00:36:56I'm falling apart
00:36:58I'm falling apart
00:36:59In front of you
00:37:01Can't you see
00:37:23Lose
00:37:23Control
00:37:28When you're not next to me
00:37:30When you're not next to me
00:37:32Mmm
00:37:33I'm falling apart
00:37:35Baby
00:37:36When you're next to me
00:37:52Thank you
00:37:54That was something wasn't it
00:38:05Created
00:38:05Right the atmosphere there
00:38:07That's very powerful
00:38:08Thank you
00:38:08That was brilliant
00:38:09It really was brilliant
00:38:11As was tommy blaze on vocals
00:38:13I know unbelievable
00:38:14Thank you so much
00:38:15Let's see if that masterclass paid off shall we
00:38:20Anton
00:38:21Power you were right when you said powerful
00:38:22That was
00:38:24Powerful
00:38:25Come on yourself
00:38:29I like
00:38:30I like
00:38:31Mark and Ian
00:38:31Mozi going
00:38:34I like the two worlds combining
00:38:36I love that
00:38:37Old-fashioned dance
00:38:37Viennese
00:38:38Walls
00:38:38The oldest of all the dances
00:38:39Coming together
00:38:40This very modern take on it
00:38:41But pow
00:38:42I keep using the word powerful
00:38:43It was powerful
00:38:44Now
00:38:45You're very talented
00:38:47I think we can all see that
00:38:49You're super
00:38:50So for you
00:38:51It's about refinement
00:38:53It's just
00:38:53From this point on
00:38:54Already we're only week two
00:38:55We're already going to be talking about refinement
00:38:58And I want you to
00:38:59And it's difficult
00:38:59Because I want you to keep the power
00:39:00I want you to keep the passion
00:39:01I want you to keep the intensity
00:39:03It's so good
00:39:04But I need refinement
00:39:05Otherwise it's just
00:39:06Crash bang wallet
00:39:07Pushing her around all over the place
00:39:09Catches getting thrown
00:39:09Left right and centre
00:39:10So I need quality of line
00:39:13I need subtlety in movement
00:39:15You embrace those things
00:39:16And wow for you
00:39:23In this dance
00:39:24You almost need to think like a swan darling
00:39:26There's a lot of stuff going on
00:39:28Underneath the surface
00:39:29But on the top
00:39:30It's smooth
00:39:31Elegant
00:39:31And gorgeous
00:39:33I felt your natural
00:39:34And reverse turns
00:39:35Were a little bit
00:39:37Up and down
00:39:38For me
00:39:38But I've got to agree
00:39:41With my dear friend
00:39:43Anton Dubeck
00:39:44Darling
00:39:44Power power power
00:39:46And I love the idea
00:39:48Of putting a passionate tango
00:39:50Sort of idea
00:39:51On top of the walls
00:39:52Brilliant stuff
00:39:53Thank you
00:39:54I love it when Craig says
00:39:56Brilliant
00:39:57So Louis
00:39:58I mean this is your first ballroom dance
00:40:00And if I think about your jive last week
00:40:02I do feel that you have improved on refinement
00:40:05I do feel that it has to be more obviously
00:40:07And we expect walls to look a certain way
00:40:11And this is maybe a more modern interpretation
00:40:14But of course make the judges happy
00:40:16Get that in
00:40:17Tuck it in everything
00:40:18Keep it tight
00:40:19But I love the fact that you have the control
00:40:21Of these explosive moments
00:40:23And then come back to your partner
00:40:25What I do need just a little bit more
00:40:28Is when you connect with her on the ballroom part
00:40:31That it's smoother
00:40:32More together
00:40:33But this I don't see it quite often
00:40:35There's wildness of exploding body
00:40:38And then come back to your own body
00:40:40So work on that
00:40:41But I see already improvement already
00:40:42Well done
00:40:43Thank you
00:40:43Thank you
00:40:44Thank you
00:40:45Thank you
00:40:45Bye
00:40:46Shelley
00:40:47Well maybe I'm a little bit more old school
00:40:49I don't know
00:40:50But there's the music that plays
00:40:52And then there's the movement that goes
00:40:53And the melody of that music was really quite refined and soft
00:40:57And I found it all too aggressive
00:40:59Now let me tell you
00:41:00Hold on
00:41:01Hold on
00:41:01Hold on
00:41:02Hold on please
00:41:03Hold on
00:41:04If you never worked on power
00:41:06Another day in your life
00:41:08You do yourself a favour
00:41:09You're gifted in it
00:41:10You can jump
00:41:11You can split
00:41:12You can go
00:41:12You can do this
00:41:13You can do that
00:41:14Tick all those boxes
00:41:15But then when you get hold of your lady
00:41:17There's something like a long neck
00:41:18There is something like posture
00:41:20I'm not saying it has to be perfect
00:41:22When you create a line
00:41:23You can have the most ugly line
00:41:24And it can still look beautiful
00:41:27So for you
00:41:28When he talks about refinement
00:41:29That's what he means
00:41:30He means about the swan-like neck
00:41:32I get your power
00:41:33I love everything about you
00:41:34I think you're destined for
00:41:35For greatness in this competition
00:41:37But for me
00:41:38Being surrounded by it for years
00:41:40I don't see the crash band wallop
00:41:42That everybody else sees
00:41:43I would like to see more refinement
00:41:45And the beauty of what you create
00:41:47Thank you
00:41:47Thank you
00:41:48Lots of constructive feedback
00:41:51But it's all going in the right direction
00:41:54Thank you
00:41:54I think we all enjoyed it
00:41:55Didn't we ladies and gentlemen
00:41:56Thank you so much
00:41:57Thank you
00:41:58Thank you
00:41:59Thank you
00:41:59Come on
00:42:01Thank you
00:42:10I'll tell you what
00:42:11That dance was phenomenal
00:42:13Like Karen was screaming
00:42:15He's amazing
00:42:16Did you enjoy it so different
00:42:19From the jive
00:42:19Oh yeah
00:42:20Did it feel quite weird physically
00:42:21Yeah I mean it's a million miles away
00:42:23Isn't it
00:42:23It's like you're starting all over again
00:42:25Every single week
00:42:26Um
00:42:26Yeah I'm just
00:42:27I understand what they're saying
00:42:29I'd like to work on all of that as well
00:42:30Obviously it's brand new
00:42:31A couple of days
00:42:32And uh
00:42:33Hopefully I can improve and get better on it
00:42:34Absolutely
00:42:34You work so hard on the fleckle
00:42:36How important is it
00:42:38Well it's really important
00:42:39It's a dance competition
00:42:40The pronunciation
00:42:40The pronunciation was a struggle
00:42:42But it's a dance competition after all
00:42:44And it's a
00:42:44Finding that right balance of
00:42:46Showcasing his talent
00:42:48Which you know
00:42:49Would be criminal for me
00:42:50Not to
00:42:50But also implementing all the technical things
00:42:53A judge is going to appreciate
00:42:54So we're finding that balance
00:42:55But I'm
00:42:56I'm just loving his natural instincts
00:42:59You know
00:42:59And I
00:43:00The last thing I want to do
00:43:01Is to
00:43:02Crush it
00:43:03Crush them
00:43:03Yes
00:43:03Correct
00:43:04So
00:43:04You cannot not in week two
00:43:06I said
00:43:06Oh come
00:43:07Your brother is here
00:43:08He is
00:43:08And you didn't even give him the ticket
00:43:10No I managed to get one through the ballot
00:43:11Unbelievable
00:43:13Amazing
00:43:14Fantastic
00:43:15Uh
00:43:16Good luck
00:43:16Which brother
00:43:17Very good point
00:43:18There is 72
00:43:20I don't know whether you've been keeping the score
00:43:22Good luck

00:43:55Please head to the website
00:43:56BBC.co.uk forward slash strictly
00:43:59Or scan the QR code on your screen now
00:44:02Still to come
00:44:03Olympic sprinter
00:44:04Harry you're taking on the quick step
00:44:06That must have been a breeze
00:44:07Mmm
00:44:08You would have thought so
00:44:09But no
00:44:10No
00:44:10No
00:44:11It really wasn't
00:44:12Yeah
00:44:12I'm used to running that way
00:44:14But turning that way
00:44:15Holding this
00:44:15Doing
00:44:15No
00:44:16No
00:44:16No
00:44:16Alright
00:44:17But we are still looking forward to it
00:44:18Don't panic
00:44:20Tess
00:44:21Coming up next on the dance floor is Alex Kingston and her partner Johannes
00:44:26Now tonight Alex is taking us to South America for a samba
00:44:30And she's hoping to bring the party
00:44:32These four are ready to go
00:44:33Check them out
00:44:44So we are dancing the samba
00:44:48Judges are going to be looking for that bounce rhythm and good posture
00:44:53The joy of the music and the dance isn't in me yet
00:45:00I'm forgetting about the joy and of course that's a disaster
00:45:03Because it's all about a fiesta and having fun
00:45:06I've got just the thing for Alex
00:45:13Oh it was such a shock
00:45:16What a wonderful shock
00:45:17I have brought you here today just for you to capture the spirit of what samba is
00:45:25Just hearing that rhythmic percussive music you cannot help but smile and dance
00:45:31Samba for me is a rhythm that is born from the community to tell the stories from the past
00:45:38To tell the stories of the future then it guides you the way that you feel that it's going to guide you well
00:45:43But I have to say after this experience I could see her light up a little bit
00:45:47And I'm certain that this might have just eased that fear of the samba
00:45:57I'm hoping that I'll be able to bring that joy and energy into my dance
00:46:11Dancing the samba, Alex Kingston and Johannes Redlehead
00:46:17Bara-bara-bara
00:46:30Bara-bara-bara-bara
00:46:31Everybody now.
00:47:01La la la la la.
00:47:03La la la la.
00:47:05What's together now?
00:47:06La la la la la.
00:47:10La la la la.
00:47:13La la la la.
00:47:15Hey!
00:47:25La la la la la.
00:47:28Everybody!
00:47:58Listen to that. Things are on their feet. Well done.
00:48:14I'm dying.
00:48:15I know you really wanted to nail that.
00:48:17I did, I did.
00:48:18You did so, so well.
00:48:19I didn't completely nail a little Clemone's birth, but I tried.
00:48:23Well, let's see what the judges thought.
00:48:25Motsy.
00:48:26Wow, wow, wow.
00:48:27I didn't expect that.
00:48:28That was a real surprise.
00:48:29I don't know what I expected, but this was a surprise.
00:48:32I absolutely love the fluidity in that.
00:48:35You never look stressed.
00:48:36The timing was brilliant.
00:48:38I love you coming to Anton.
00:48:40Beautiful.
00:48:41Oh, come on.
00:48:42You guys didn't see it.
00:48:46It's really beautiful.
00:48:48Party dance.
00:48:49That's the samba we love.
00:48:51Yes.
00:48:53Shirley.
00:48:54First of all, hold on.
00:48:55It's the dreaded samba, right?
00:48:56It's the dreaded samba, right?
00:48:57It's the dreaded samba.
00:48:58I have to say this is probably one of the better sambas I've seen in a long time.
00:49:01And let me just, hold on, hold on, hold on.
00:49:02I'm running up to the international championships at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday.
00:49:07It's the biggest championship we have in the world.
00:49:08I'm forever telling people to lower their heels.
00:49:09You lowered every heels.
00:49:10You did the perfect stationary samba walk.
00:49:11Your vaulters were great.
00:49:12Your slow vaulters were great.
00:49:13Your promenade runs were great.
00:49:14You understated on everything you did.
00:49:15You didn't bash one ball up in anybody's face.
00:49:16You just came out there and you danced one of the best sambas.
00:49:19I'm just saying.
00:49:20Just saying.
00:49:21Just saying.
00:49:22Just saying.
00:49:23That's all I'm saying.
00:49:24I'm just saying.
00:49:25I'm just saying.
00:49:26You did the best samba walk.
00:49:27Your vaulters were great.
00:49:28Your vaulters were great.
00:49:29Your slow vaulters were great.
00:49:30Your promenade runs were great.
00:49:31You understated on everything you did.
00:49:32You didn't bash one ball up in anybody's face.
00:49:34You just came out there and you danced one of the best sambas.
00:49:36You were great.
00:49:37You were great.
00:49:38You were great.
00:49:39You were great.
00:49:40You were great.
00:49:41You were great.
00:49:42Oh, this is wonderful.
00:49:43I don't feel a spoilage.
00:49:45Oh, oh.
00:49:46Just saying.
00:49:47Just saying.
00:49:48Just saying.
00:49:49I'm just saying.
00:49:50I love it.
00:49:51You came across and you looked at me.
00:49:53You were beautiful and I thought you were talking to me.
00:49:55I cried.
00:49:56I cried.
00:49:57It was the merit of your song.
00:49:59I have no idea.
00:50:00I have to tell you.
00:50:03I just.
00:50:04It is brilliant.
00:50:05I love it.
00:50:06I said he never of a sambar.
00:50:09I hate the sambar, but I love that.
00:50:14Grace.
00:50:17I thought it could have done with a little bit more tone and resistance.
00:50:21The feet do tend to want to go parallel instead of slightly turning out.
00:50:28And I also thought there could have been some more hip rotation on the vaulters.
00:50:32No.
00:50:33No.
00:50:34You did a classic range of steps, which I absolutely loved.
00:50:38And I've got to say, you danced them brilliantly.
00:50:42Incredible comments.
00:50:44Your hard work has very clearly paid off.
00:50:47So well deserved.
00:50:48Thank you so much.
00:50:50Off you go and get your scores.
00:51:13I am so happy for you, but I have never, Jo Jo in my life, seen you when Shirley was
00:51:19listing them off.
00:51:20You were like that, that, that.
00:51:22You found Latin, you were desperate to do it properly.
00:51:25Yes.
00:51:26You found it quite hard, correct?
00:51:27I did find it hard.
00:51:28I found it much harder than I anticipated it would be.
00:51:31Yes.
00:51:32Yeah.
00:51:33So complex.
00:51:34It's the hip rotation, you know, it's so, you contort your body in these sort of different
00:51:38ways.
00:51:39Yes.
00:51:40It was not what I was expecting.
00:51:41Jo Jo, it was all about fun and musicality this week, wasn't it?
00:51:45But you also must have got so much technique in it.
00:51:48I did, and I didn't tell her anything about it, because Samba is my favourite dance.
00:51:53But I just said to her, I said, we'll get through it.
00:51:55But what I love about it is that she's got no fear.
00:51:58So I throw all the crazy stuff and see what happens.
00:52:01Well done.
00:52:02Okay, we have to say your goddaughter's flown all the way from America.
00:52:06Yeah, my goddaughter Vivian, she's flown here from America.
00:52:09And she's Latina, so I had to really put it off for her.
00:52:14You certainly did.
00:52:15Good luck.
00:52:16The scores are in.
00:52:17The judges' scores are in.
00:52:19Craig Revelhall.
00:52:20Seven.
00:52:21Maxima Bush.
00:52:22Eight.
00:52:23Charlie Valley.
00:52:24Eight.
00:52:25Anton Dubé.
00:52:26Eight.
00:52:27Anton Dubé.
00:52:28Eight.
00:52:30I love to hear you.
00:52:31It's ten more than last week.
00:52:32Ten more.
00:52:43It's ten more than last week.
00:52:45Ten more.
00:52:46If you love Alex and Jojo, then the information on how to get ready to vote for them is on your screen now.
00:52:54Oh, I'm going the wrong way.
00:52:55Voting will open after all of our couples have performed.
00:52:58Still to come.
00:52:59Ross King is wearing a kilt.
00:53:01And I am a true Scotsman.
00:53:03And we're putting the slide back in just to prove it.
00:53:05So you've got to stand by for that.
00:53:06Not a pretty sight.
00:53:07Nobody pull on that string.
00:53:08Tess.
00:53:09Dancing next, it is Ellie Goldstein and her partner Vito.
00:53:16They've christened themselves Team Cheeky.
00:53:18But tonight, they're hoping to show us a very different side with an elegant and graceful waltz.
00:53:23I love a first ever live show with Vito.
00:53:30I felt so happy in the element.
00:53:35That's nasty.
00:53:36This week, we are dancing in waltz and I can't wait.
00:53:40Open the arm, like a wing.
00:53:42Beautiful.
00:53:43And now we look up.
00:53:44Even though last week was a Latin dance, this week is a ballroom.
00:53:47But we can still take and incorporate all the feedback from the judges.
00:53:52What's Mossy's feedback?
00:53:53Floor is our friend.
00:53:54Floor is our friend.
00:53:55I found the perfect way to show Ellie how to be elegant and light in waltz.
00:54:00I know you love animals.
00:54:02Yeah.
00:54:03I decided to take you somewhere to have a proper treat.
00:54:08Oh, look.
00:54:09How cute!
00:54:10We should name Summer Butterfly with our name.
00:54:12Yeah.
00:54:13That's Vito and I'm that one.
00:54:16You see when they fly, they're like so floating, so light.
00:54:20When we're going to dance the waltz, we have to rise and fall, rise and fall.
00:54:25Yeah.
00:54:26We're going to fly like them.
00:54:27Look.
00:54:28Oh, cute!
00:54:31You know, I really feel inspired by all these butterflies.
00:54:34Oh!
00:54:35We have to make sure that all the technique is perfectly done.
00:54:39Spin around, like wings, like a butterfly.
00:54:41I'm going to be a beautiful born butterfly.
00:54:44I can't wait.
00:54:45I can't wait.
00:54:46I can't wait.
00:54:47I can't wait.
00:54:48It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside.
00:54:53It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside
00:55:13I'm not my voice who can easily hide
00:55:21I know it's not much, but it's the best I can do
00:55:29My gift is my song in this one's home
00:55:39And you can tell everybody, this is your song
00:55:48It may be quite simple, but now that it's done
00:55:56I'll give the light, I'll give the light
00:56:00And I'll give the light, I'll give the light
00:56:05How wonderful life is when you're in the world
00:56:13How beautiful life is when you're in the world
00:56:17How beautiful life is when you're in the world
00:56:26How wonderful life is when you're in the world
00:56:38I got it, I got the butterfly
00:56:47Ellie, Ellie
00:56:52You are a ballroom butterfly
00:56:57I am, that is beautiful
00:56:59Beautiful
00:57:00And so is your dress
00:57:01Thank you
00:57:02Gorgeous
00:57:03I mean this is a beautiful partnership, isn't it Shirley?
00:57:05Ellie, last week I asked you if you would keep your feet on the floor
00:57:10Caress the floor, close your feet when necessary
00:57:13And you did that today
00:57:15Marvelous
00:57:16Thank you
00:57:17Also your little hand here
00:57:19Don't think I don't notice those tiny little details
00:57:22Because it looked like a little butterfly
00:57:24And landed on Vito's shoulder
00:57:26And you today were the epitome of grace and charm
00:57:30Keep working on those things
00:57:32And boy can you spin, girl
00:57:34Well done you
00:57:35Thank you, thank you so much
00:57:37Thank you, thank you so much
00:57:38Thanks on
00:57:39Ellie, I completely agree with Shirley
00:57:42Your underarm spins are an absolute delight
00:57:46Your feet coming together, beautiful
00:57:49Beautiful
00:57:50If you are going to continue to improve all the things that everybody asks you to do
00:57:54You're going to be unstoppable
00:57:56You can
00:57:57You can
00:57:58Now
00:57:59I'd like you to take a bigger step
00:58:04Yes
00:58:05So have the confidence to take a bigger step
00:58:07Yes
00:58:08Because you're moving beautifully
00:58:10We will
00:58:11You will, okay
00:58:12You're fast, so good
00:58:14Great
00:58:15Ellie, when you do those little runs
00:58:17You know the tiny little ones
00:58:19We call them sort of bourreys
00:58:21They need to be smoothed out
00:58:23You just have to make sure that you're on one level when you do them
00:58:26There was not enough rise and fall for my liking
00:58:31But I've got to agree with the others because I think the turns are just so controlled and placed
00:58:37And your commitment to the story is great
00:58:39Thank you, Jake
00:58:41Thank you, thank you
00:58:42I think the floor was definitely Ellie's friend Motsy tonight
00:58:45Yeah, Ellie, there's a huge improvement in what you did today
00:58:49I'm going to tell you everything that improved
00:58:51Your posture improved
00:58:52It looked much, much better
00:58:54You looked more in control of what you were doing
00:58:56You had such beautiful arm movements until the end
00:59:00Until your fingertips you were dancing
00:59:02I love that extension
00:59:04Feet have improved
00:59:05Like Shirley said
00:59:06They were on the floor
00:59:07So now when we move on
00:59:09We're just trying to improve our musicality
00:59:11We need to know where we've got slow movement
00:59:14And then quick movement

01:06:15And you stood there like, this is it.
01:06:19And, yeah, it was interesting to us.
01:06:26Yes, yes.
01:06:29Shirley?
01:06:30Well, you gave it a go.
01:06:32That's the thing.
01:06:34Yeah, gave it a go.
01:06:35You came out with a personality.
01:06:36And your family at home will be so proud of you,
01:06:38because you enjoyed every minute of that, I can tell.
01:06:40Yes.
01:06:41But I had to go with Craig.
01:06:44You know, I expect in seltzer a lot more moves.
01:06:46Now, you can prove that in anything you can do the lifts,
01:06:49and that is good, and that's a bonus.
01:06:51But now we've got to start in the latin to rotate the hips
01:06:54a little bit, be a bit more coordinated
01:06:56with the upper part of the body, a little bit of foot usage,
01:06:58not too much, just a little bit, and you'll be on your way.
01:07:01Good try, then.
01:07:04And Tom, are you begging to differ?
01:07:06Well, I mean, they say all that, but I've
01:07:08tried all that to varying levels of success.
01:07:10I think it's all overrated, Mr. Tuffle.
01:07:12I think a friend of mine the other day was just starting
01:07:15to learn salsa like you, and he said,
01:07:16I'm struggling with it.
01:07:17He said, I keep taking one step forward and two steps back.
01:07:20I don't seem to be getting any better.
01:07:21You're all right.
01:07:22Shut your face.
01:07:23The tickets are free.
01:07:24I thought it was a very, like these guys,
01:07:29I thought it was a good effort.
01:07:30You did not show any nerves.
01:07:32You plowed on.
01:07:34You gave it some.
01:07:34Yeah.
01:07:35And I thought it was a really good effort.
01:07:36Well, thank you.
01:07:37Well done.
01:07:38Thank you very much.
01:07:40You enjoyed yourself.
01:07:41Probably the bravest lifts we've ever seen in week two.
01:07:44So, bravo, Tom.
01:07:46Thank you very much.
01:07:47Thank you very much.
01:07:48Tom and Amy.
01:07:50Well done.
01:07:53Yay.
01:07:54Well done, darling.
01:07:55I enjoyed that.
01:07:56I loved it.
01:07:57I loved it.
01:07:58I'm hungry.
01:07:59Yay!
01:08:00Yay!
01:08:01Yay!
01:08:02Yay!
01:08:03It's so terrible.
01:08:04Lift me!
01:08:05Lift me!
01:08:06I've still got lift points.
01:08:07They're all going, lift me!
01:08:09You love those lifts?
01:08:10Well, I ain't good at dancing, so I have to lift them.
01:08:12Come on!
01:08:13Don't say such a thing.
01:08:16But he was brave because he just went, as were you.
01:08:19He was like, go on, I'll do another one.
01:08:20Absolutely.
01:08:21But if I've learned anything in the last two years, life's too short.
01:08:24Don't, you know, take risks.
01:08:26Yes!
01:08:27Absolutely.
01:08:28Can I see, because I love this, Tom has an absolute concentration face, doesn't he?
01:08:33Yes, it's this.
01:08:34Could you share?
01:08:35Which was okay until we had to do lifts and I was high up there and about this close from
01:08:40the floor and he had his eyes shut.
01:08:41And I was like, no!
01:08:42Best fighter base.
01:08:43So you trusted him?
01:08:45Oh, absolutely.
01:08:46And I'm so proud of you.
01:08:48You worked incredibly hard.
01:08:49Good luck.
01:08:50The scores are in.
01:08:51Oh, no, no.
01:08:52The judges' scores are in.
01:08:53No.
01:08:54Craig Revelholt.
01:08:55Two.
01:08:56Oh!
01:08:57Oh!
01:08:58Oh!
01:08:59Motsi Mabusi.
01:09:00Three!
01:09:01Oh!
01:09:02Shirley Ballas.
01:09:03Four.
01:09:04Oh!
01:09:05Oh!
01:09:06And Tom Dubeck.
01:09:07It's all!
01:09:08Yay!
01:09:09Thank you so much.
01:09:10It's all right.
01:09:11I know you wanted more than a two.
01:09:13A lot of it more than our main book.
01:09:15But you did well.
01:09:16And also I can hear Neil at the back there and he's just shouting, it's not right.
01:09:19If you want to see Tom and Amy back next week, then you can vote for them later on in the show.
01:09:25Please head to the website bbc.co.uk forward so strictly or scan the QR code on your screen now to get ready to vote.
01:09:32Still to come, Vicky and Kai, you're bringing Newcastle, aren't you, into the ballroom.
01:09:37Excited?
01:09:38No, look at your face.
01:09:39Oh, yeah.
01:09:40It's going to be fine.
01:09:41I'm sure it's going to be good.
01:09:42We're dead excited, aren't we?
01:09:43Yeah.
01:09:44My eye!
01:09:45Good.
01:09:46Test.
01:09:47So sweet.
01:09:48Our next couple is Harry Akins Arete and his partner Karen.
01:09:52Now, after last Saturday's cha-cha, our gladiator still had enough energy to do some press-ups with a certain Mr. DeBeck on his back.
01:10:01Very strong.
01:10:02Well, I can't wait to see what he's got in store for this week.
01:10:05201!
01:10:06202!
01:10:08203!
01:10:09204!
01:10:10204!
01:10:14I've just started teaching Harry the quick steps, and they're slowly becoming friends.
01:10:18But it's been a bumpy start.
01:10:20I think I'm doing it the wrong way around.
01:10:22The biggest challenge is for Harry to make sure that he doesn't overbounce, so he doesn't look like he's running.
01:10:28Also, that everything stays nice and beautiful in the upper body.
01:10:315, 6, 7, 8, 1, 2, not too much.
01:10:34I'm literally like a big springy ball.
01:10:37So, trying to keep all of that spring under control is really tough.
01:10:43I'm gonna bring you down.
01:10:45You might see me shaking, but this man ain't gonna jump too high.
01:10:49Walk, back, walk, walk, turn.
01:10:52The hardest part of the routine for me is all of these crossovers.
01:10:54I'm an Olympic sprinter.
01:10:55I'm used to staying in my own lane.
01:10:576, 7, 8, 1.
01:10:58I'm used to running.
01:10:59Running around in circles.
01:11:00Give it to Karen.
01:11:01She's literally having to move a bus.
01:11:02I'm driving.
01:11:03You're driving this bus.
01:11:04So, I do think she's a little bit out of breath.
01:11:06So, I might have broken Karen a bit.
01:11:08You're not out of breath.
01:11:09I am.
01:11:10I'm counting or reminding him to keep his arms lifted.
01:11:13I'm also going, breathe.
01:11:14Breathe.
01:11:15Because if not, then we'll both end up on the floor.
01:11:18I'm actually starting to enjoy it.
01:11:20It's really difficult.
01:11:21You know, once you challenge yourself, and that's the reason why I'm doing Shrippi,
01:11:24because you kind of have that breakthrough moment, like Karen said.
01:11:26You just go, ooh.
01:11:27I can't wait for everyone to see what we've been working on.
01:11:30It's gonna be so much fun to perform here, but at the same time, I think I need some rest before then.
01:11:34I'm just, I'm just gonna...
01:11:36Oh!
01:11:37Oh!
01:11:38Oh!
01:11:39Oh!
01:11:40Oh!
01:11:41Oh!
01:11:42Oh!
01:11:43Oh!
01:11:44Oh!
01:11:45Oh!
01:11:46Oh!
01:11:47Oh!
01:11:48Oh!
01:11:49Oh!
01:11:50Oh!
01:11:51Oh!
01:11:52Oh!
01:11:53Oh!
01:11:54Oh!
01:11:55Oh!
01:11:56Oh!
01:11:57Oh!
01:11:58Oh!
01:11:59Oh!
01:12:00Oh!
01:12:01Oh!
01:12:02Oh!
01:12:03Oh!
01:12:04Oh!
01:12:05Oh!
01:12:06Oh!
01:12:07Oh!
01:12:08Oh!
01:12:09Oh!
01:12:10Oh!
01:12:11Oh!
01:12:12Oh!
01:12:13I need our limbs, sugar and pigs, sugar and pigs.
