00:02Here's your spooky spot on the Horror Cats Collectible Mini Figurines.
00:23Somebody thought I said body bags, and I see we're being joined by the spooky candle.
00:27Uh, what Horror Cats Mini Figurines? Surely you jest. No, I don't.
00:31You're probably also asking, what's the disheveled stay of this bag?
00:34Did this arrive to your doorstep looking this way?
00:36Well, the only thing I really had to do was start cutting the top of the corner,
00:39because I had no idea what was inside the bag.
00:41I had ordered these weeks ago.
00:44These, by the way, were advertised on Facebook.
00:47You know, in between Aunt Mertha's posts of what she's currently doing,
00:50oh, I just made myself a pie.
00:51You see these random popped-up advertisements.
00:54One did catch my eye, my cat's eye.
00:57And that was the Horror Cats Mini Figures.
00:59Essentially taking horror icons and making them both into cats and collectible mini figurines.
01:04Yes? Yes.
01:07So I ordered these.
01:09I have no idea how good these actually look.
01:11Again, when this arrived, I had no idea what this exactly was.
01:14I thought, did I order myself something that's illegal?
01:17No, in fact, it was light in hand,
01:19and it didn't at all look like the way that they were imaged online.
01:23I think, in fact, the Horror Cats came inside red boxes.
01:26These don't look like they're red boxes at all.
01:29I did get the entire set of these.
01:31The set, I think, is actually six, maybe even seven.
01:35No, no, I think it's actually six.
01:36There should be a Pennywise.
01:38There's a Ghostface.
01:39There's a Michael Myers.
01:40There's a Jason Voorhees, a Freddy Krueger.
01:42I think there's also Jigsaw or Billy the Puppet.
01:44So I feel, even though I have already opened some of this,
01:48I think that there's a three in the top, three in the bottom.
01:50So we should have ourselves six.
01:52Will these look at all like they do online?
01:54Probably not at all.
01:56Something also I did want to incorporate into the Spooky Spot season for 2025
02:00was that for the things that I didn't maybe have a chance to think
02:03that they would stand alone well on individual reviews,
02:06we're going to kind of do like a trick and a treat.
02:08The trick is whether these things are actually going to be good inside,
02:11and then, of course, we're going to have ourselves a side treat.
02:13The side treat in this video is actually Mike and Ike's Sour Spooky Treats.
02:17Chewy assorted fruit-flavored candy.
02:20It's spooky themed.
02:21But again, it's not something I'm sure I probably could have done individually in a video.
02:24So for some of these blind bags,
02:27I think what we're going to be doing is we're mixing a treat and a trick.
02:31In this case, the trick, I'm sure the trick was on me and the treat itself.
02:35Maybe the treats are going to be a little bit better.
02:36The treats in hand are Sour Ghoulish Grape, Sour Grape Scream.
02:40Ah! And Sour Wicked Watermelon.
02:44I think I picked these up from my local dollar store.
02:47We're going to come back to these.
02:49I think what I might just do first is I'm going to open up one of these
02:51and just sort of get the lay of the land.
02:53Just how much money did this guy waste on these?
02:56I want to say that they were like two something each.
02:59And then, of course, I got the entire set of them.
03:01Maybe for around $35.
03:03I really should have had all this stuff prepped in front of me.
03:05Needless to say, I think when I was all in with the shipping on all the yada, yada, yada,
03:08it probably was about $50.
03:10I think already $50 was not well spent here.
03:14We're going to open up the first one of these.
03:16And again, I don't know who's...
03:17Does it say on the top?
03:18It doesn't say on the top.
03:20So right away, there may be a bit of a fail for the fact that the packaging
03:23does not at all look the way they do online.
03:26And again, if you guys are just wanting to know what these things look like,

03:36I might just change that after the fact.
03:37So I don't know if I need myself a knife, but just on the ready though, I've got myself

03:51Okay, so let's open up the first box and see exactly what we got.
03:56And I think the last one I mentioned was the Jigsaw.

04:11Okay, so the first one that we have is very poorly painted.
04:16We have ourselves Billy the Puppet as a cat.
04:19Do you want to play a game?
04:20I'm hoping the game consists of a ball of yarn.

04:25The figurines themselves do feel cheap.
04:29Looking at them, they're super light.
04:31That would probably be the reason why I thought I ordered myself a small loaf of bread.
04:35The figurines are very cheap, though.
04:37They're very light.
04:38Well painted.
04:39It's questionable.
04:40I mean, we only really have the first figure to kind of base that from.
04:44I don't know what kind of chemicals went into the paint or the materials that they made for the actual cat themselves.
04:49On the bottom of it, by the way it's designed, the way it feels, maybe this was 3D printed.
04:54I don't know.
04:55Does it look okay?
04:57I mean, I guess one thing, though, is that they sculpted the spirals on the side of the face.

05:02I'm not really sure what's going on.
05:04Oh, I guess because Billy the Puppet has a mouth that moves up and down, right?

05:08That's what they were trying to go with.
05:10The paint, I think, is messy in some of the areas.

05:15I thought the spooky candle was trying to tell me something.

05:22I can't really say that they're toxic.
05:24I can say, though, the paint isn't the greatest on some of these.
05:28Some areas, like on the back of the collar, these will be probably progressively good or bad.
05:32There's going to be some marginal differences between some of these.
05:36I think some of these may look a little bit better than others.
05:38If we were to just to base it from Billy the Puppet, it's okay.
05:42They're just okay.
05:44Okay, so that's one of them.
05:46Man, I really do think that the packaging should have been a little bit better, a little nicer than this.
05:50There's nothing at all to tell me.
05:52I still don't know.
05:53It says DM, DMM.
05:57I don't know if that's going to be in Michael Myers.

06:12The next one that we have is Freddy Krueger Kitty.
06:18I would say he haunts your dreams, but if you have yourself a cat that keeps you up all night,
06:22there's a very unlikelihood that you're even going to be able to sleep.
06:25My cat keeps me up relentlessly all night.
06:29Just when I think I'm laying down, the cat comes home and just sort of swats my face.
06:32I got a brand new cat, by the way, a new kitten.

06:38He is relentless now when it comes to keeping this guy up.
06:42Owen does not, by the way, look at all like this cat's got.
06:45What is this crud on top of the cat's head?
06:49I flake this off, and it seems like the more that I flake, the more it appears.

06:55Well, he's missing his claw.
06:57Again, I kind of get the impression.
06:59I get the sneaking suspicion.
07:01I smell myself 3D printing, just by the way that the bottom is textured.
07:04Although it's pretty smooth, though.
07:06Paint is, again, somewhat okay.
07:09I think, though, the Freddy Krueger kitty, and I do like at least the fact that they
07:13gave us a different cat than the Jigsaw cat.
07:16This would be a total fail if it was just literally the exact same cat.
07:20It just slapped on whatever decorative details would distinguish it from Billy the Puppet to,
07:25of course, Freddy Krueger cat.
07:26I kind of just think, though, like a white cat, I don't know if I would have chose for
07:31Freddy Krueger.
07:32I think like a tabby cat, like an orange cat, would obviously look like Freddy Krueger's

07:37I probably would have gone with an orange tabby myself than a white cat, but hey, what do

07:41I'm not designing, nor am I selling, nor am I marketing, and I got to say, like the marketing
07:45was just, again, slapped all over Facebook.
07:48Marketing, though, for this, I know nothing really about.
07:50I can tell you, though, for a guy that loves cats and loves Freddy Krueger, I would have
07:54gone with an orange tabby.

08:14me, I probably would have had to get the entire set of these.
08:17Next, we have ourselves, it is the meowy man.

08:26Now, you're talking about a guy who looks out windows all the time.
08:29My cat loves looking out the window, and this would probably be, probably of the cats,
08:34this would be the one that looks out the window the most.

08:38It kind of looks less like he's got a hair piece, and it looks more like he's wearing
08:41a toque.
08:42Maybe this Myers has gotten cold.
08:45He's got, of course, the boiler.
08:46The boiler suit, the coveralls, again, have that kind of grain look to it.
08:50It looks like these were probably 3D printed.
08:54So they're probably just keeping this on file.
08:56And as anybody just decides, suckers like this guy decides, okay, you know, I'm going to
09:00order myself Halloween kitties.
09:02They're just basically like, oh, we got another one.
09:05We got another one.
09:05It's like Janine working at the desk at Ghostbusters.
09:08We got another one!
09:10And then they just basically mass produce whatever they need to do.
09:13Oh, this guy's getting the entire set of six.
09:15Oh, this guy's the real sucker.
09:17But other than maybe like the boiler being a little too shiny, I think the coveralls probably
09:21could have been a better color than this.
09:23The face at least does have, well, he's got the darkest eyes.
09:27The devil's eyes.
09:28Again, like I think the white cat makes more sense than the white cat being Freddy Krueger.
09:34I mean, as you can see, it's also a completely different feline altogether.
09:38I don't know if I love the Michael Myers one, but we're going to put him right in the middle

09:42I think so far the Freddy Krueger cat is probably the best.
09:46Let's see that if that gets better with the Ghostface cat.
09:49I'm not sure really why too, but this year I've been really ankling to go dressed out
09:56as a Ghostface.
09:58Every year I sort of feel like I let my daughter down.
10:00She wants to go out trick-or-treating.
10:02The neighbor's dads are all getting dressed up.
10:04Last year, the guy across the street dressed up as I think Superman.
10:07This guy has been dropping the ball every consistent year.
10:12Maybe this is the year that I'm going to dress up and maybe this year I'm going to dress up
10:15as Ghostface.
10:16So, again, we've got ourselves a little key line, a feline.
10:21I want to say a key line for a second.
10:23It's got the Ghostface there on the front.
10:25This, I think, works well.
10:27If you're going to take two things together, like a Ghostface and a cat, and merge them
10:30together, I think this one is the most successful.
10:33The other ones are sort of suggested, okay, you know, it's just a cat playing dress up.
10:37This at least does the job of stretching out the face.
10:42That's what I think this cat...
10:46This is how I think the cat meows.
10:51People in the back are just like, shut up!
10:54You never really want to tell your cat to shut up.
10:55Just like, keep it down out there.

11:02I would say, so far, Ghostface is my favorite.
11:04Probably Freddy Krueger after that.
11:06I think I have these in proper order of my like to least like.
11:10Let's see if that changes at all by the next box that we're going to be opening up.

11:20I don't know if this is the way that this guy was meowing like Ghostface, but I am sold

11:49Just walks into a room, sits down, looks up at the owner, just goes.

11:54Just sits down, looks at the owner, goes.

12:01The next one we have is, oh, it's Pennywise.
12:04I guess it's not bad.
12:05It looks like it really needed to use a lot more paint.
12:08It's got some gray on the bottom.
12:10I mean, the gray isn't completely painted.
12:11I guess maybe is that supposed to look like that?
12:13Maybe it is.

12:15I mean, these are just barely, I mean, barely painted.
12:18This one is probably the worst of the batch.
12:20I mean, it looks, I suppose, like Pennywise.
12:23If Pennywise, his, what would his meow be?

12:30That was not as good as the Ghostface one.
12:32What kind of meow do you think this one would have?

12:41could not properly put in the tone of what they're trying to suggest.

13:40Of course, I'm saying this, and I'm actually looking right at the cat.
13:44Once this goes up online and everybody's looking at the video, I'm sure, though, the eyes are

14:49Just a bit of a departure, a quick treat for our trick.

15:33The problem also with Mike and Ives is if you've ever had one, they get stuck in your
15:38teeth and they're next to impossible to remove.
15:44Despite that, though, it's actually a really strong, sour grape flavor.

15:49Grape is my go-to of all things.
15:52Let's give the watermelon quickly a try.
15:53I know you guys want to see what the Jason Voorhees looks like.
15:56We'll kind of get to that in a second.

16:05Watermelon for me, by the way, it's hit or miss.
16:08I think Jolly Ranchers.

16:16I just don't like the flavor of Jolly Roger, Jolly Rancher watermelon candy.

16:30And the last one, we've got ourselves Sour Orange Scream.

16:43I do think, though, that the sour, ghoulish grape is the better bet to go with.
16:48I mean, there seems to certainly be a lot more watermelon and grape than anything else in here.
16:52If I give it, though, a shake.
16:54There are a few orange, but they're way deep down in there.
16:56I would think, though, the ratio of watermelon to grape.
17:01I think the grape certainly is still not winning against the watermelon.
17:04Watermelon seems like they've packed the most grape than in a distant orange.
17:09But these are good.
17:10I like these.
17:11They're just going to get stuck in your teeth.
17:12And they're currently stuck in my teeth right now.
17:15Okay.
17:16Now that we've looked at the tree, let's go back to the trick.
17:20And I'm still having quite the trick of trying to get this opened up.
17:27By time now, any other normal human kitty, normal human kitty, any normal kitty, would
17:33have had a hard time breathing inside this bag.
17:35But considering, though, it's Jason Voorhees, I took my sweet little time to get this opened up.
17:41And the Jason Voorhees is pretty weak.
17:50Pretty weak.
17:52And this was the one that I was hoping, out of all of them, would have been the best.
17:56There's a few things that, personally, I would have changed.
17:58First of all, says this guy, I would have made Jason's, first of all, outfit all green.
18:05Like an olive green.
18:06I would have probably taken also a gray kitty, a gray feline, and I would have made that be the fur color.
18:11Because then the white mask would have stood out a little bit more.
18:14The chevrons are poorly painted.
18:17Poorly painted.
18:18I've still got Mike and I stuck in my teeth.
18:20Poorly painted chevrons.
18:21Although, it still looks better than the new redesign of Jason Voorhees' mask.
18:25There, I said it.
18:27I'm not really sure why he's got the red collar.
18:29That doesn't really make much sense to me.
18:31I think the mask could have certainly been a little bit better.
18:33I probably would have, if I have the careful hand, not the jittery hand I seem to have when it comes to painting things, I think I would be likely to go in here and paint the fur on the cat like a gray.
18:44Maybe even do the mask like yellow from like Friday the 13th part five or part eight.
18:49And I probably would have then changed the outfit to more of an olive green.
18:53This actually looks more like Negan as a cat than it does Jason Voorhees.
18:57And what would this one sound like?
18:59I feel like he wouldn't meow as much.
19:01He would probably just gurgle a lot.
19:03Like he always feels like he's going to be throwing up.
19:04So instead of him walking into the room, yeah, yeah, yeah, and about to meow, he sort of just goes, and he's like, oh, kitty's got a hairball?
19:14No.
19:14And then the kitty just walks out of the room.
19:16I thought the kitty was going to have a hairball.
19:19This is pretty weak.
19:20This one is not my favorite at all from the set.
19:23In fact, looking at the ones that we have now, all six of them all unboxed, I would say my favorite is still the ghost face kitty.
19:29I like that one.
19:30I would probably then go Jason, probably go Jason, probably go then Freddy Krueger.
19:37Jason, I really wish could have been better.
19:39I'm going to go with Wandering Eye, Michael Myers.
19:41Does it not still seem like the cat's eyes are moving?
19:45Everybody right now is like, dude, you've showed us this how many times?
19:48We keep telling you, we don't see the blasted cat's eyes moving.
19:54I'm going to go with, I guess, Wandering Eyes, Michael Myers.
19:57Then I'm going to go with the Billy the Puppet, then Jason Voorhees, even though like Jason looks exactly.
20:03It almost even looks like, does it look like they even used?
20:07I think they did.
20:08Did they use at least the same blueprint for cat?
20:12It does kind of look like they had the same similar face and then they just would have sculpted a different hairpiece.
20:17Are we on to something here?
20:19I mean, clearly there's a different outfit.
20:20But the thing that drew my attention the most was the fact that they both have bells.
20:24They do look like they're very similar.
20:26I know they're not.
20:27I would say, though, Billy the Puppet, then Jason Voorhees, then at the distance, I would go with the overweight, fat, tabby cat, Pennywise.
