00:00I mean, the energy is always there.
00:03I want to say our DBs is our energy of the team.
00:06You know, they always make an energy and be energetic.
00:08But overall, I think it's there, man.
00:11I think it's just the one in the will to fight the whole game.
00:14You know, when we're facing adversity, that's the biggest thing for us.
00:18How good do you guys have in Jake still?
00:23We got confidence in Jake.
00:24Jake's been here before.
00:25We all have been here with him.
00:26We know what it's like.
00:27You know, unfortunately, we're going to do a bump in the road.
00:30You know what I'm saying?
00:31It's going to happen.
00:32But, you know, like I said, it's adversity.
00:33You got to face it.
00:35Move on.
00:37What can you change from a play style standpoint to get the ball out quicker
00:43if that pocket does collapse?
00:47Pretty much more of a quick game.
00:49We didn't really do so much of that last game.
00:52But quick game is the best answer for that.
00:55Get it to outside.
00:57Jamar, you had some comments on social media after there was a lot made of you
01:01and Zach's interaction on the sideline.
01:03Given a few days now to kind of take all that in, was that overblown by a lot of people?
01:09Everything I do is pretty much overblown, I feel like.
01:12You know, but it happens.
01:13You know what I mean?
01:14That's normal, I feel like, for me and Zach.
01:16You know, that's not my first time doing that.
01:19Zach lets me walk up to him and talk to him like he wants me to do that.
01:22Sometimes my emotions, you know, pick up.
01:25And, you know, I might look like I'm yelling, but I'm definitely just talking to him sometimes.
01:29But that's normal.
01:30For you, I mean, I think people see that and they assume most receivers in the NFL are going to say,
01:35give me the ball, I'm frustrated.
01:36Yeah.
01:36You know, what's that conversation like, though?
01:40It's half of that.
01:41At the end of the day, you got to remember, we receivers are, we can't get the ball to ourselves.
01:47You know what I'm saying?
01:47And so that's the hardest part about our job at the end of the day.
01:49So if a receiver wants the ball, then that's good.
01:52If he doesn't want the ball, then that's not so good.
01:55Does he let you vent?
01:57Yeah.
01:58Yeah.
01:58He definitely does.
01:59Yeah.
02:01Is that good to have?
02:02No, it is good to have, especially when you're just going through a tough game like that.
02:05You know, Zach lets me talk to him and listen.
02:08Do you let him vent?
02:10He never vented to me yet.
02:12If he venting, I hope it's good.
02:16Yeah.
02:16Does he ever shoot you and said, not now?
02:18Is he always willing to listen?
02:20He's always willing to listen.
02:21He don't really push me off of nothing like that.
02:23Yeah.
02:25What does your role as a captain look like now?
02:27Is there, do you feel like there's more on you, especially with Joe out, to kind of be more?
02:34Yeah.
02:35Yeah.
02:35I stepped into more of a leader role now that Joe's out.
02:41I feel like I had to.
02:42There's a lot of accountability I got to take going forward for the offense, the receiver
02:53room, just the whole team in general.
02:55You know, those guys look up to me as one of the best in the league from my work ethic
02:59and the way I handle things.
03:00So going forward, I got to be that guy.
03:02Do you talk to him?
03:03Do you expect him to be on the sidelines Sunday?
03:05Joe?
03:06Hell no.
03:07You need to get ready.
03:09Don't come out there.
03:10They don't need to see you.
03:11Probably don't need to see Joe's face.
03:13Just get healthy.
03:13Come back later.
03:15He was around today.
03:16Did you guys have any conversations about just like his rehabbing or anything like that?
03:21No.
03:22I just said it was sub-9 and went to my little cave and hid.
03:25So you don't want to see – you would rather have him not see him Sunday or have him
03:30all working Sunday or we're going to get back?
03:32Yeah.
03:33Yeah.
03:34The more time he's sitting there watching us, the more time he's not working.
03:37Do you think he can help Jake though?
03:39On the field?
03:40No, on the sideline.
03:41I mean, yeah.
03:43Yeah.
03:43That's always a chance Joe can help for sure.
03:46But, I mean, hey, it happens.
03:53Like, it's for Jake to see at the end of the day.
03:57Joe won't always have Jake to be there.
03:59Jake won't always have Joe to be there, vice versa.
04:01So there's adversity.
04:03They got to feel the pressure.
04:04That would make quarterbacks good.
04:05They feel the pressure and they make decisions off of it.
04:08He was always on the sideline when he had the wrist those last seven games.
04:11Did you guys interact at all?
04:13Letting you know what he sees?
04:16Was he helpful?
04:17Honestly, I don't really think we had much to talk about.
04:20I think the most he was saying was to the quarterbacks and just like trying to get plays going.
04:24But he wasn't really talking to the receivers.
04:27Did you do anything different this week?
04:29Did you do anything different this week?
04:31No.
04:35I mean, I don't think I did.
04:36I came every day the same.
04:37Working every day the same.
04:40Do you pay attention to spreads or how much of an underdog you are this week?
04:45You're 10 and a half point of underdogs.
04:48What are you talking about, fancy?
04:49No, just...
04:50I don't even know what you're talking about.
04:51That's how I know it.
04:52I'm that lost.
04:53Nobody is expecting...
04:54My point is nobody is expecting you.
04:56Very few people are expecting you to win the game.
04:59Oh.
05:00Sunday.
05:00And you're big underdogs.
05:02Yeah.
05:02When you're that big of an underdog at home, any different mentality?
05:08No.
05:09I feel like people always made us underdogs.
05:11I feel like it's our job to make sure that we showed them the wrong.
05:14You know what I'm saying?
05:15Everybody's going to have their opinion.
05:16But at the end of the day, we weren't about what's in the locker room and what we can take
05:19care of on the field.
05:19But you said earlier, talking about keeping guys up when things start going bad and during
05:25the game, is that the hard part?
05:27Like during the week, everybody believes in the plan and you guys think you can win and
05:31you're working to get ready.
05:32But then when it starts to slide in a game, do you see people kind of maybe check out a
05:36little?
05:37If I'm being honest, I don't mind when the players get mad.
05:40I don't mind that because that means they care at the end of the day.
05:43You know what I'm saying?
05:43And I want guys to play with passion.
05:46I want them to play with anger.
05:47You know what I'm saying?
05:47Because you never know how guys might respond.
05:49And I told my guys that recently after the game.
05:51I just want them to play with a little more fire and anger underneath.
05:54If the team doesn't play better, do you threaten to take cereal boxes away?
05:57Or how does that work?
06:02I don't really do that.
06:08No.
06:08I mean, I gave a little speech after the game.
06:10Don't want to really say what I said.
06:11But, you know, I spoke up to the guys after the game about how I felt about what's going
06:15on.
06:17What kind of a challenge does Detroit's defense pose?
06:21Say that again?
06:21I'm sorry.
06:22What kind of a challenge does Detroit's defense pose?
06:26Well, they got a lot of guys on IR right now.
06:29So I think they're going to come out and play zone a lot.
06:33They're mostly a man team.
06:35You know, the sky's a couple of zones.
06:37But majority of the time, they're playing man.
06:38But against us, I think they're going to go zone.
06:40Do you prefer zone or man?
06:43Man, of course.
06:44Yeah.
06:44A lot of guys don't play us.
06:46I mean, Denver played us man last year.
06:48This year, they played us man the first quarter and went to zone after the whole game.
06:51So.
07:10Now, let's come to school.
07:14Let's go to school.
07:16Let's go to school.
