Tories: The UK will leave ECHR if we win the election

00:04leading barristers, Lord Wolfson Casey, to write a 200-page report into leaving the ECHR. We've

00:10thought about this really carefully and concluded that in order to protect our country's borders

00:15and restore parliamentary sovereignty so when the public elect a parliament and a government,

00:20they can actually do what the public wants, we need to leave the ECHR. We've taken that decision

00:25after careful thought. We haven't rushed into it. We've done it properly but that is the conclusion

00:30we've now reached.
