Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula was struck by three earthquakes in a single day, continuing a massive wave of seismic activity that started with a record-breaking M8.8 quake back in July 2025. With over 2,800 aftershocks recorded since then, experts warn the shaking is far from over. This video breaks down what’s happening, why this region is so volatile, and what it could mean for the rest of the Pacific Rim.

00:00Did you know Russia just got rocked by three earthquakes in a single day?
00:03And it's not stopping there.
00:05Early Monday, three moderate earthquakes hit off the coast of Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula,
00:10measuring 4.6, 4.7, and 4.8 in magnitude.
00:15No major damage or tsunami warnings have been reported,
00:18but this is just the latest in a wave of seismic chaos shaking the region.
00:23It all started with a massive 8.08 magnitude earthquake back in July,
00:27one of the largest ever recorded.
00:30Since then, over 2,800 aftershocks have rattled Kamchatka.
00:34Some aftershocks were as strong as 7.8.
00:37That's almost a full-blown earthquake on its own.
00:40Kamchatka sits on the Ring of Fire, a hot zone of shifting tectonic plates.
00:45The ground here moves constantly and violently.
00:48This week's quakes are likely part of that ongoing aftershock sequence,
00:52and experts say this could go on for months, or even years.
00:56Russia's most earthquake-prone zone isn't calming down,
00:59and while the world may not feel every shake,
01:02geologists are watching closely,
01:04because the next big one could ripple across the Pacific.
01:07The first week, the Amatite酒, was your attention from the 감 Cannon.
