On 3 October, the Russian Ministry of Defence published footage showing the small missile ship Buria, Project 22800 Karakurt, conducting live firing during naval exercises in the Baltic Sea, against the backdrop of rising regional tensions.
According to the official communiqué, the Buria employed the Pantsir-M surface-to-air missile and gun system to repel simulated enemy aerial attacks. Target missiles launched from the Kaliningrad coast served as objectives.
The exercise proved successful: the live fire struck the designated targets, as verified by objective control data.
Beyond the firing trials, the ship’s crew also performed additional drills at sea, including electronic warfare, survival procedures, and counter-sabotage measures.
The complete video was released on the official channel of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
