00:00Because the sad truth is, a lot of guys have punished a lot of guys for being vulnerable and being themselves.

00:06And we have to acknowledge that as well.

00:08You know, there's so many times when a guy will go to their friends and say, man, I'm sad.

00:12People are like, you're sad? Oh, what are you, a pussy? Oh, look at the guy, he's sad.

00:14What do you mean she broke up with you? Come on, get out there, man.

00:17And now all of a sudden, the circle that you had that you thought was protecting you

00:22has revealed to you that if you show your vulnerability, you're ostracized from it.

00:26It's not safe.

00:27Yeah, so you don't want to be there.

00:28And then sometimes it wouldn't even turn into a fight.

00:31You know, and all of a sudden, people are slapping you or hitting you or punching you

00:33because you've admitted that you're vulnerable.

00:36And so I think that's another place where young men struggle is like,

00:40we have to maintain this bravado.

00:41And then we see all these influencers online who keep telling us like,

00:45yeah, you're a tough guy. That's all you got.

00:47You got to be a tough man. You got to be a tough man.

00:48That's what you got to do.

00:50Never once are they saying to you like, yo, what do you feel?

00:53How do you get rid of those feelings?

00:54Or how do you deal with them? How do you process them?

00:56Who's your friend that you can like literally sit with and cry with?

00:59Do you have one?

01:00But I do think we have tools.

01:02You know, I think, again, you know, gifts and curses.

01:06The curse of the online world is that it affords everybody anonymity.

01:10And so they can be the worst of themselves.

01:12I think the gift is also the anonymity.

01:14You know, I think a lot of people will be shocked at how you can connect to a person online

01:20in like a really honest and beautiful way because you're safer in a way.

01:27So...

01:27And you want to take that easy.
