00:05for 12-year-old brain cancer patient Bryson. When he was just three years old, Bryson was
00:10diagnosed with a rare form of paediatric brain cancer known as medulloblastoma. Despite his
00:17remission, he will need ongoing surgeries and treatment for the rest of his life.
00:22Despite the challenges, Bryson has dreams of becoming a police officer when he is older.
00:26So teaming up with the Make-A-Wish charity, the New South Wales Police Force helped to
00:31create a hands-on experience inside their specialist units. Bryson was sworn in as an
00:38honorary officer, given a uniform and promoted to the rank of inspector for the day, and
00:44took part in a simulated police mission. Together with the Public Order and Riot Squad Dog and
00:51Mounted Unit, Tactical Operations Unit, Forensics and Radio Operation Group, Bryson was tasked
00:58with recovering the stolen keys to the city. Following clues, Bryson was able to apprehend
01:04the offender on the steps of the Sydney Opera House and return the keys to the city.
01:11He was awarded a special Sydney City Police Medal for his bravery and courage.
