00:00You know, I feel sorry to the fans because the fight is boring.
00:05You know, the fight is boring.
00:08That's not what the fans are expecting to us.
00:11Pretty certain Terrence Crawford in his brain is saying to himself,
00:16I can beat this dude.
00:17You know what I'm saying?
00:19If he actually goes through with it, he'll be 38 years of age next Sunday.
00:24It's the guy right now in the sport that's supposed to be the man,
00:27you know, Big Bad Wolf.
00:28You beat him, you the wolf.
00:31Now it's like, you know what I mean?
00:34Like, all right.
00:35Well, so I'm gonna fight.
00:36You beat the shark, you beat the wolf.
00:38Manny Pacquiao mocked Floyd Mayweather for calling out Terrence Crawford,
00:42saying he feels bad for the fans who expected a real fight.
00:46According to Pacquiao, this isn't what boxing should be about.
00:49He believes the match will be dull and resemble more of an exhibition than a genuine contest.
00:54He reminded viewers that Floyd has long retired and hasn't taken a real challenge in years,
00:59making the idea pointless.
01:01Pacquiao didn't hide his thoughts about Mayweather.
01:21He said he feels sorry for Floyd, claiming his actions seem to be motivated purely by money.
01:28For Manny, Mayweather isn't coming back for the sport or legacy.
01:31It's all about putting on money-making shows.
01:34He described the potential bout with Crawford as nothing but a cash grab,
01:38lacking any true competitive value.
01:40To Pacquiao, this kind of approach turns boxing into a fashion show, not a warrior sport.
01:46Now, in the beginning of this conversation, you say,
01:49I don't like boastful people.
01:50How was it like fighting Mayweather then?
01:52Did he get on your nerves?
01:53Because I feel like he's a little bit more boastful than the people you might be wanting to hang out with.
01:57Yeah, he's boastful.
01:59I think his God is the material things, money, everything like that.
02:03I'm pretty with him because I want to share the word of God in him if he believes God.
02:08Yeah, I've heard he's a generous man.
02:10I think he's done good things.
02:12I think, you know, he kind of reminds me of like,
02:14a lot of people are like this, by the way, including myself.
02:17I'm not just saying him.
02:18I'm including myself.
02:19The man who goes up to Jesus and says,
02:21what should I do to get it to heaven?
02:23He says, sell all your belongings.
02:24And he walked away crying because he couldn't sell his belongings.
02:27The rumored fight between Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson in 2026
02:31has caused a stir in the boxing world.
02:34Many experts believe it's more about entertainment than competition.
02:38as both fighters are well past their prime.
02:41The match is being viewed as a promotional lead-in
02:43to a possible Mayweather versus Crawford bout later that year.
02:47Analysts note, both events seem built around big profits and high pay-per-view sales.
02:52With Tyson's legendary status and Floyd's worldwide fame,
02:55these fights are expected to draw major attention,
02:58even if they don't carry much sporting value.
03:00Jake and Tyson and, you know,
03:05some people like the likes of Carl Frotch viewed that as an endorsement.
03:09Like, look, man, I'm just working.
03:11It's a big opportunity to be on Netflix.
03:13I didn't put the fight together.
03:14I'm not paying these guys.
03:15So, you know, let's chill out.
03:17But all right, I'm not going to poo-poo this.
03:19I just don't know what CSI is.
03:22And the way it was presented made me think that there was like a secondary press release to come
03:29that they'll be involved in like some sort of like virtual boxing thing.
03:32Like, it just didn't seem real.
03:34You know why it didn't seem real?
03:35I'll tell you why.
03:35There's no date attached to it.
03:37There's no venue attached to it.
03:39Forget rules.
03:41Exhibition, non-exhibition, weight.
03:43I mean, here's a guy who fought a heavyweight fighting.
03:45Forget all that.
03:46These things can get figured out, the fine details.
03:51The fact that it was announced, why announce something with no date or location attached to it?
03:57What's the point?
03:58Unless you're just trying to get people excited and trying to get them, you know, trying to get some investors or something like that.
04:08But maybe also testing the waters.
04:09If the response was overwhelmingly positive, maybe you go, okay, we move forward.
04:14If the response is muted or negative, maybe you go, okay, we're not going to actually do this.
04:19You know, you lob it out there as a way to poll the public and then make an adjustment.
04:25You don't think it happens?
04:26I do not think it happens.
04:27I just don't think there will be enough interest.
04:30I don't think, I know they have huge name value.
04:34There's zero, after the last performance by Mike Tyson against Shea Paul, I don't think there's going to be interest in seeing Mike Tyson.
04:40Crawford has often shown deep respect for Manny Pacquiao.
04:43Speaking about him, Crawford praised Manny's incredible achievements, saying that his career is one of a kind in boxing history.
04:51Manny took on bigger, stronger fighters across multiple divisions and consistently came out on top.
04:57Crawford believes Manny's level of success will be nearly impossible to match, especially in today's era.
05:03Not me, but shocked the world.
05:06This past Saturday, Mexican Independence Day weekend, where he took on and defeated another first ballot Hall of Famer,
05:13but he essentially jumped up three weight classes, technically two, from 154 to 168,
05:20but only had one fight at 154 last August against Israel Majumov.
05:25Terrence Crawford defeated Saul Canelo Alvarez, who is a four-division champion, two-time undisputed super middleweight,
05:34and the reigning, at the time, super middleweight world champion, undisputed world champion.
05:40And Terrence Crawford beat him handily and convincingly.
05:44And because he beat him so easily, now the 63 win, three loss, two draw, 39 win by way of knockout,
05:53biggest threat has been now imposed on Terrence by Crawford.
05:59And that's the Mexican Ecuadorian monster, David Benavidez, who is a two-division undefeated world champion,
06:09is the two-time WBC super middleweight, and reigning WBC light heavyweight, 175-pound champion,
06:18who has a record of 30 wins, no loss, no draw, 24 wins by way of knockout.
06:22He stands 6'2 with a 75-inch army.
06:25This is a fight that David Benavidez has been calling from for Canelo Alvarez when he was at 168,
06:31and Canelo Alvarez strategically maneuvered around him.
06:35But Canelo Alvarez is 5'7 with a 70-inch army, started his career at 147 pounds,
06:42made his real name at 154 pounds.
06:48He's not a big guy, okay?
06:51And styles make fights.
06:52Benavidez is 6'2 with a 75-inch armage.
06:55His last fight at 168 against Demetrius Andre, he rehydrated to 193.
07:01So he's a big guy.
07:03Canelo Alvarez probably rehydrate to 182, maybe, 185 max, right?
07:14He's not a big guy, right?
07:16The potential clash between Talens Crawford and David Benavidez is a hot topic among boxing fans.
07:24Benavidez is known for his size, power, and aggressive style, making him one of the sport's most dangerous fighters.
07:31Many believe he would push Crawford harder than anyone has before.
07:35Although the fight isn't confirmed, the buzz shows how eager fans are for real, competitive matchups,
07:40not just exhibitions or celebrity-driven events.
07:43The guy right now in the sport that's supposed to be the man, you know, big, bad wolf.
07:48You beat him, you the wolf.
07:51Now it's like, you know what I mean?
07:54Like, all right.
07:55Well, so I'm going to fight.
07:56You beat the shark, you beat the wolf.
07:59Man.
08:00Like, you know what I mean?
08:00Ain't no more ops out there.
08:02It's ops out there.
08:03But who going to make them really want to get up?
08:07That's the point.
08:07Shit got to make sense.
08:08Like you said, you beat the shark, you beat the wolf.
08:11But there is the monster.
08:13Yeah, there is, but that's like a real monster.
08:16Bro, that's that.
08:16To me, it don't make sense.
08:18But that's what.
08:19That's really a monster.
08:19Yo.
08:20Is that proof?
08:22All right, we got the legendary pape in the building.
08:24Legend.
08:26Chill, man.
08:28But what makes sense?
08:31Like, what makes the most sense?
08:35I know you said get a line of suits, Brooks Brothers.
08:37Yeah, get a line of suits.
08:39Get a line of suits, get your money.
08:41Go in and get the easy money, bro.
08:43You ain't got to sweat no more.
08:45What's up, bro?
08:46Not saying you ain't got to work.
08:47You ain't got to sweat.
08:48What's happening?
08:49He's paid the career where he could sit down at a table and get this money.
08:55He could come out with a Terrence Crawford series now.
08:58Just whatever.
08:59Doing whatever he'd like to do.
09:01People going to watch it.
09:02Nobody.
09:03The fighting part.
09:04People don't understand what it's like to be a fighter.
09:06A lot of times, fighters really don't be interested in certain fights.
09:11It's because when a guy sees himself up here and is fighting a guy down here, it don't interest him.
09:17So, therefore, when he trains, he's not going to really train.
09:20He's going to train, but he's not going to train.
09:22He's not going to listen.
09:23He's going to feel like his coach taking it too serious.
09:26And he's like, man, this ain't even that.
09:27But your coach's like, listen, you're going to get fucked up.
09:30I'm telling you.
09:31You don't want to listen.
09:31Then you go in there and fight that guy.
09:33Then you get fucked up.
09:34Trainer Greg Hackett praised Crawford's incredible performance against Cunelo Alvarez.
09:40He described Cunelo as the shock of the sport, a long-time dominant force.
09:44But in Hackett's eyes, Crawford not only faced him but broke him down completely.
09:49It signaled the changing of the guard.
09:51Crawford is now seen as the top predator in boxing, the one everyone else should fear.
09:56Hackett's comments also raised the big question.
09:59After beating someone as elite as Cunelo, who's left that can truly test Crawford?
10:03And I think Crawford displayed his skill enough, even to someone with not the most trained eye,
10:10that they know they saw a very high-level athlete perform something at a very high level last night.
10:15I think he gained the sports world's attention last night and respect.
10:18He already did after Spence, but it went to another level in this fight.
10:21And I think even the fight itself, like just from a median level,
10:27but then the moments where they were having these exchanges, like kind of late in the fight,
10:31then people were like, all right, it was good.
10:32They're like, okay.
10:34I saw somebody like, they're squabbin'.
10:35Like, this is a fight here.
10:37So I think it did.
10:38And Crawford closed the show.
10:40So in 10, 11, 12, he stood in there and landed some hard shots and rocked Canelo at the bell.
10:46He didn't, when James was talking about the great Floyd Mayweather,
10:49Floyd would go up on you 8-0 and then coast and you might as well turn the fight off at midway through the ninth.
10:54Like, you know, he's not going to, but Crawford didn't do that.
10:58But he wasn't up 8-0, to be fair to Floyd.
11:00But he, and Floyd was when he fought Canelo, so he could do that.
11:04But Bud instead steps on the gas.
11:07Bud is a finisher.
11:08He closes really strong.
11:10He closes really strong in every exchange.
11:12That's one of his gifts.
11:14He's the best counterpuncher of his era.
11:15One of the greatest counterpunchers that lived.
11:17But the great fighters, James would tell us about this.
11:21James and Mike McCallum put on fights that exemplify what I'm talking about.
11:27Initiating and punctuating.
11:29Being first, being last.
11:32That's one of the things that makes Crawford who he is.
11:34So, no, I think it was a good enough fight that it certainly didn't hurt boxing.
11:40Yeah, I think Sport of Boxing delivered last night.
11:42I mean, Earl Crawford didn't deliver.
11:46Yeah.
11:46Many, uh...
11:47Yeah, it did.
11:48Experts largely agree that Crawford's dominant win over Canelo Alvarez was a defining moment of his career.
11:54Before this, his win over Errol Spence had already proven a lot.
11:59But defeating Canelo, a champion across many weight classes, elevated him even further.
12:05Crawford didn't just beat him.
12:06He controlled the entire fight.
12:08It proved that Crawford's skills work across all divisions, against any type of fighter.
12:13Today, many believe he has conquered every meaningful challenge in front of him.
12:18I mean, Prime Mayweather and Prime Crawford, I've tended to lean slightly towards Mayweather.
12:23But after that performance there against Canelo, not just the fact he won, the manner in which he won,
12:27I've changed my mind.
12:29I would now lean towards Prime Crawford over Mayweather.
12:31And the reason I say this is because of the expert way in which Terence Crawford mixed
12:37offensive in-the-pocket boxing with defensive on-the-move boxing.
12:42Not running, save for maybe a round or two.
12:45No, just moving nicely.
12:47Because if there's one area of Floyd Mayweather's game that was underdeveloped,
12:52it's his front foot game.
12:54Whenever Mayweather was forced to walk an opponent down,
12:57what he did was actually very basic.
13:00He would hold his hands up and he would walk forward throwing straight right hands.
13:03Okay, they were accurate straight right hands.
13:05They were well-timed straight right hands.
13:08But there wasn't a whole heap of head movement.
13:09There wasn't a whole heap of creative or dynamic footwork,
13:13coming forward, walking somebody down.
13:15No, it was very, very basic stuff.
13:17And I don't think an approach that basic would have worked against,
13:21let's say, a Tommy Hearns.
13:22It was 6'1", 6'2", 78-inch reach, massive puncher, good hand speed.
13:28So I always thought that a Prime Tommy Hearns would beat Prime Mayweather
13:31because I can't see Mayweather doing what Ray Leonard did,
13:33grabbing the ball by the horns and taking it to Tommy Hearns.
13:36Can't see him doing that.
13:37And if he did try and do it, he's going to get clipped.
13:40Tommy Hearns hit so hard,
13:42that guard from Mayweather wouldn't be enough, in my opinion.
13:44And I never saw Mayweather on the front foot moving his head a lot.
13:47When he's in the middle of the ring or on the back foot,
13:49when he's being defensive, yeah, that's when he moves his head.
13:51The famous Philly shell defense, the shoulder roll and all that.
13:54But coming forward, no, it's a lot more basic.
13:56Go watch.
13:57Mayweather's old fights, you'll see what I'm talking about.
13:58Whenever he's forced to come forward, it's basic stuff.
14:01And so, after watching Crawford's performance against Canelo,
14:04I got to thinking, you know what?
14:05Maybe Crawford employs similar tactics if he fights a Prime Mayweather.
14:10The ongoing debate about who would have won,
14:14Terence Crawford or Floyd Mayweather, continues to divide fans.
14:18Mayweather is praised for his defensive brilliance, precise timing, and elite ring IQ.
14:24His ability to control fights and stay unbeaten is legendary.
14:28On the other hand, Crawford brings power, intelligence, and adaptability.
14:32His switch-hitting style and ability to pressure opponents make some believe he could have forced Mayweather
14:38into uncomfortable territory.
14:40While the fight never happened, comparing the two highlights just how different, yet great, they both are.
14:46Turkey Ali Sheik said, deliver the job to Terence Crawford.
14:52The fight is big, show me.
14:54Saturday, deliver the job.
14:56Y'all missed the most important part.
14:59It's when he said, don't retire.
15:03Don't retire.
15:04This is what you guys are missing.
15:07Turkey Ali Sheik was trying to say, return the favor.
15:11You're my job, Lieutenant.
15:12Yeah.
15:13Bud interrupted him by saying, the job ain't done.
15:17Which prompted Turkey Ali Sheik to say, yeah, deliver the job.
15:21But that's not what he was on.
15:23He was on the first part, return the favor.
15:26But Turkey, in a second thought, he goes back to Bud and he says, and don't retire.
15:33No retirement.
15:34That's what Turkey meant when he was trying to say, return the favor.
15:39I did this for you.
15:40You got this big fight.
15:42But don't retire.
15:44Return the favor.
15:46UFC legend Daniel Cormier recently shared his thoughts on Crawford while reacting to
15:51Ilya Tapiria's surprising challenge.
15:54Though Cormier acknowledged Tapiria's rise in MMA, he made it clear that Crawford remains
15:58his pick without a doubt.
16:00But Cormier, known for his sharp fight IQ, said Crawford has already shown why he's the
16:05top fighter in all of combat sports today.
16:07His praise carries weight, especially since it comes from outside boxing, showing how far
16:13Crawford's greatness reaches.
16:14Bet that Ilya Tapiria could knock Terrence Crawford out, no chance.
16:18If I had to bet Ilya Tapiria versus Terrence Crawford, I'm betting Terrence Crawford.
16:22I mean, he's the best boxer in the world.
16:25And this is what he does and he's done his entire life.
16:27But we also knew that about Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.
16:30We knew, right, deep down, that Conor McGregor was not going to knock out Floyd Mayweather.
16:35But because of what we had seen him do inside of the octagon, what we had seen him do to
16:41all those great fighters in MMA, when he walked into that ring, people thought he had a chance.
16:49He didn't really have a chance.
16:50Conor never had a chance against Floyd Mayweather.
16:52And it would feel that way with Tapiria.
16:55But you could at least tell that there's a chance because of how good he is in boxing
17:01and how he knocks people out inside the UFC.
17:06Initially, I thought Bud Crawford would just no-sell Ilya Tapiria, right?
17:10When you're the king and everybody's calling your name, you can literally just ignore them
17:16and nobody will say anything about it.
17:18But Bud Crawford isn't one to ignore stuff.
17:21That's it for...
17:21That wraps up today's video.
17:23Don't forget to stay tuned for more updates and analysis.
17:27See you next time.
