Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner are fed up with Ray J, claiming they're the subject of a federal criminal racketeering investigation, so they're suing him for defamation.

00:00The wrath of the Kardashians has fallen on Ray J. Kim and Chris are suing Ray J for defamation.

00:10You could say they hit it first in court at least because they actually filed the suit

00:16against him because of things that he alleged were about to happen to them with the feds.

00:22This defamation suit is all over comments that Ray J made first to us while we were

00:29talking to him for one of our Diddy Docs.

00:33And then the other one he said recently on a live stream, September 24th.

00:38So let's just kind of set this up.

00:41Ray J has been on this tirade that the feds are investigating the Kardashians for racketeering.

00:51And like Charles said, he said it in those two forums.

00:55But what's interesting about this is the Kardashians have been the subject of so many things, so

01:02many things, and they've never filed a defamation lawsuit.

01:06I know.

01:07That is kind of stunning when you think about it for as long as they've been in the public

01:12eye and all the things that have been said about them for them to not have filed one.

01:16But this one, they decided this crossed the line.

01:20So first, here is what Ray J said during our Diddy documentary.

01:25He was making the point about trying to make the point that he can't believe Diddy is facing

01:31a RICO charge.

01:32Here's how he brought the Kardashians into it.

01:34A RICO racketeering, sex trafficking.

01:38Like, I've been with Diddy a long time, and if I haven't seen any of these kind of heinous

01:45acts happening, then where was I when it was happening?

01:49If you told me that the Kardashians was being charged for racketeering, I might believe it.

01:54Well, that was, but by the way, that's an interesting defamation claim because he didn't say they

02:03are there.

02:04He said, if you told me, I'd believe it.

02:06And I think-

02:08If they were that alone-

02:09100% right.

02:10But what they say in this lawsuit, because you're right, that's not a statement of fact.

02:13He's sort of musing about it.

02:14He's using it as a metaphor, sort of.

02:15But what they say is that that was designed to plant the seed of the idea that the Kardashians

02:20were under an investigation.

02:22He says this in the documentary in May.

02:24Then in September, he doubles down.

02:26And now that the idea is planted-

02:27So September is the live stream.

03:23On top of all this, I think, is very interesting.

03:25They say that Ray J has done this all the time and that he tells lies and then walks them

03:30back, even admits to them being lies.

03:32They say he did it with Sexy Red.

03:33He said, I slept with Sexy Red.

03:35Sexy Red comes out a few days later, blasts him and says, no, you didn't.

03:38He then goes on The Breakfast Club and says, yeah, I was just acting wild.

03:42He conceded.

03:43It was actually in the comments.

03:44It wasn't on Breakfast Club.

03:45I know what you're talking about.

03:46But Sexy Red went after him and said, this is lie.

03:48And he's like, oh, I'm sorry.

03:49That's right.

03:50He then backed off the comments.

03:51So now they have the perfect encapsulation of he tells lies and he even admits them.

03:58Well, that's what's relevant here.

03:59Whether he did with Sexy Red or not, in a way, has nothing to do with the Kardashians.

04:06And they're saying the only thing that would save Ray J, I think, at this point, just the facts as

04:11Is a federal investigation.

04:12Is if a federal investigation were launched.

04:14And there's absolutely no evidence of that.

04:17So even if it were launched, it doesn't save him because he said it already was launched.

04:20Now, what's interesting is that the Kardashians are saying a couple of things.

04:24Number one, they're saying this has hurt them personally and professionally.

04:28So it's interesting that they've almost conceded that that Ray has that power to hurt them in a substantial way.

04:36The second thing they say in the lawsuit is how long this beef has been going.
