00:09And one Senator Ted Cruz, who had a lot to say when Jimmy was taken off, and I think some people were surprised that he thought it was a bad move for ABC to do.
00:19He was standing up for the First Amendment.
00:22He disagreed with the things that Jimmy Kimmel was saying.
00:25So now that he's back on the air, what is Ted Cruz expecting?
00:28We actually got him at Reagan National Airport.
00:32This is what he had to say about the lesson he hopes Jimmy has taken from all of this.
00:37Kimmel used to be funny and unfortunately just got angry.
00:41He got angry and political.
00:43Instead of telling jokes, he just at night screams, I hate Donald Trump.

00:50That's a big reason why his viewership drops so precipitously.

00:55I hope Kimmel returns to the guy he was a decade ago.
00:58Which is, I don't mind if he makes fun of Republicans, but good comedy makes fun of both sides.

01:07I don't think the federal government ought to be threatening a station's license to try to force a comedian off the air.

01:26There is something to his point that a lot of people who are on the left have telegraphed that kind of anger.
01:37And maybe some of it's appropriate in comedy, it's different.

01:43And I applaud Ted Cruz for that.
