00:00Welcome to Hannity and tonight the bomb squad at Utah State University detonating a suspicious device
00:06only hours before a Turning Point USA event on that campus. We will have a full report tonight
00:12straight ahead and also tonight an exclusive interview with Carter Page. Remember him? A
00:18direct victim of the weaponization of government. Remember James Comey signed three of the four
00:23FISA warrants that nearly destroyed his life using the debunked never verified Hillary Clinton bought
00:31and paid for Russian dirty disinformation dossier to get four FISA warrants to spy on him. Comey signed
00:39three and get a backdoor entry into all things Donald Trump. He will react to Comey's indictment
00:44that's coming up this hour. Also Stephen Miller is here and that after Gavin Newsom's social media
00:51lackeys called him a fascist and he'll respond and Hillary Clinton said this. Take a look.
00:57The idea that you could turn the clock back and try to recreate a world that never was dominated by
01:05you know let's say it white men of a certain persuasion a certain religion a certain point
01:11of view a certain ideology is just doing such damage to what we should be aiming for.
01:19All right we'll go into detail on that but first tonight we are now officially less than three
01:26hours away two hours and 58 minutes if you're counting at home from the radical democratic
01:32induced government shutdown officially known on this show as the Schumer shutdown. Now this is a
01:37historic moment in American politics because radical leftists and their protest tactics have now
01:43completely taken over and radicalized the Democratic Party. You may have heard enraged liberals chanting
01:50this in the streets over the years if we don't get it shut it down. We'll remind you take a look.
01:56If we don't get it shut it down.
02:03If we don't get it shut it down.
02:05Go.
02:16If we don't get it shut it down.
02:20It gave me a headache that used to be something that just college students of random protesters
02:39on the street shouted.
02:41Now it is the official position of Democrats in Congress.
02:45They don't get PBS and NPR funding again.
02:48Guess what?
02:49Shut it down.
02:50If they don't get funding for DEI climate programs all over the world, shut it down.
03:00If they don't get an extension of Joe Biden's health care subsidies, the ones that were supposed
03:06to be temporary during COVID that is costing a fortune, shut it down.
03:11If they don't get to rob your children of their future by taking $1.5 trillion, they're
03:17going to shut it down.
03:18What a difference from their past positions on shutdowns.
03:23They used to be very, very wary of them.
03:26They didn't like them.
03:27They said they were a disaster and dangerous and horrible.
03:30Here's a reminder in case you've forgotten.
03:31Take a look.
03:32It is not normal to shut down the government when we don't get what we want.
03:40If the government shuts down, it will be average Americans who suffer most.
03:45A government shutdown means seniors who rely on Social Security could be thrown into chaos.
03:50Families will be hurt.
03:52Farmers will be hurt.
03:53It's the service members who will work without a paycheck.
03:57It's the firefighters who will be furloughed.
04:01This shutdown, you know who's going to feel the pain?
04:03You know who it hurts?
04:04You.
04:05Everyday people.
04:06And the most vulnerable.
04:07Seniors.
04:08Veterans.
04:09Working families.
04:10Hungry kids, y'all.
04:11Two hours, 55 minutes, 40 seconds, and they'll shut it down.
04:17And by the way, House Speaker Mike Johnson has actually wheeled a TV in front of his office.
04:22He's playing that video on a loop just in case Democrats need a reminder of their past
04:27positions.
04:28But why the sudden conversion?
04:30Now, Chuckie Schumer has stood firmly against government shutdowns for his entire career.
04:37What changed?
04:38One simple answer.
04:39Schumer is scared to death.
04:42He is afraid of getting a primary challenge from AOC for a Senate seat.
04:48He has completely caved.
04:50He has now surrendered to the most radical leftists in his party because he has to if he wants to
04:56keep his job.
04:57Now, this is a case study of how power hungry politicians with nothing but blind ambition
05:03basically will sell their souls for power.
05:06And it's not just Chuckie Schumer.
05:08The Democrats have a full slate of radical leftists gearing up to run in the midterms next
05:13year.
05:14If you're an elected Democrat, the older you are, the more likely you are to receive a
05:18primary challenge from the hard left.
05:20Now, we've seen this movie before.
05:22There's a Democrat senator in Massachusetts.
05:25His name's Ed Markey.
05:27He's 79 years old.
05:28He's getting up there.
05:29A few years ago, he found himself facing a primary challenge from a member of the Kennedy
05:33family, pretty tough to overcome in Massachusetts.
05:37What did he do?
05:38He became AOC's BFF, and he literally co-sponsored the Green New Deal.
05:43He won.
05:44The far left was his salvation.
05:46And now Schumer wants it to be as well.
05:48The whole party does.
05:50And they're all bowing before the altar of the radical squad and Jasmine Crockett and
05:55AOC, Pocahontas, Grandpa Bernie, you name it.
05:58Apparently, just, you know, look at the communists that they are running in the great, former
06:03great city of New York.
06:05Alarm bells should be going off.
06:06But Democrats, nope, one by one.
06:09You know, like dominoes, they're falling in line, completely being taken over by the
06:13radical Marxist base.
06:15Schumer, Jeffries, leaders in name only.
06:18It's, you know, you can count down till their endorsement of Mamdani, Kami Mamdani, Marxist
06:24Mamdani.
06:25Now, all the power lies with the radical left, as I've said, and the far left.
06:29And by the way, also, some Democrats are starting to see the writing is on the wall here, three
06:35of them, including John Fetterman, who's really been the only reasonable Democrat.
06:39He just voted with Republicans to keep the government open tonight.
06:42They're not buying Schumer's lies, like when he tried to claim with a straight face.
06:48Democrats won't be blamed for this.
06:52Even the New York Times says, well, take a look.
06:56Now, I know the leader is going to show a poll that says that Democrats will be blamed
07:01for the shutdown.
07:03There are many more polls that show Republicans are blamed.
07:06The question in that poll is biased.
07:08Biased, biased in the New York Times, but it's biased if you turn the quote.
07:18That's true.
07:19I don't always believe the New York Times.
07:21You can be sure of that.
07:23Oh, the New York Times is biased in favor of conservatives.
07:29I've now I've heard and seen it all.
07:32That may be the greatest moment on the Senate floor in history.
07:35You know, I've got to be honest, the government shutdown, I've said many times, doesn't worry
07:40me, happened plenty of times before, in all likelihood, the Democrats, they're going to
07:44capitulate.
07:45They're going to cave.
07:46And any furloughed, unpaid workers, they will get back pay.
07:50That is what usually happens.
07:52This time, though, maybe President Trump's Office of Management and Budget may use the
07:56shutdown to run a sort of doge 2.0 and drain the swamp a little bit more.
08:01That certainly wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, as government is too big, too
08:06bloated, too out of control, too bureaucratic.
08:08And as President Trump pointed out earlier today, he said this.
08:12Take a look.
08:13Well, the Democrats want to shut it down.
08:15So when you shut it down, you have to do layoffs.
08:17So we'd be laying off a lot of people that are going to be very affected.
08:20And the Democrats, they're going to be Democrats.
08:23As you know, we, this country, no country can afford to pay for illegal immigration, health
08:29care for everybody that comes into the country.
08:31And that's what they're insisting.
08:32And obviously, I have an obligation to not accept that.
08:36That would affect everybody.
08:38And so we're doing well as a country.
08:39So the last thing we want to do is shut it down.
08:41But a lot of good can come down from shutdowns.
08:46We can get rid of a lot of things that we didn't want.
08:48Ah, might be Doge 2.0, but don't lose sight of what's really happening here.
08:54This government is shutting down because of Chuckie Schumer.
08:57He's going against everything he's ever stood for, everything he's ever said, everything
09:01that he said he ever believed in his entire career.
09:04And it's all about him.
09:06It's all about power.
09:07It's all about control.
09:08It's all about understanding that his party is no longer a Democratic party, but a radical
09:14Marxist party.
09:15And the only reason he's doing this, because if he doesn't, he can kiss his career goodbye.
09:22This is his swan song.
09:23See you later.
09:24Those protesters we showed you screaming that they want to shut it down, have finally figured
09:30out what it is it in our federal government, if that makes sense.
09:36Anyway, government and closing the government tonight because they are the ones, the Democratic
09:41Party, they're running the show.
09:42Anyway, here with a full report from Capitol Hill, our very own Chad Pergram is with us.
09:47All things Hitchhiker's Guide to Capitol Hill.
09:50This man knows more about government shutdowns, its history, what's happening, than anybody on
09:55the face of this earth.
09:56Chad, how are you?
09:57Sean, good evening.
09:58Well, it is a fait accompli that there's going to be a government shutdown in less than three
10:02hours here.
10:03But Chuck Schumer, as you indicated, he has a problem.
10:06He is starting to bleed votes.
10:08As I always say, it's about the math.
10:11Now, they had a test vote on the Republican bill to keep the government open at the current
10:15funding levels tonight.
10:16The vote was 55 to 45, but they needed 60 yays.
10:21However, there were three Democratic defections.
10:24Angus King, he is an independent from Maine who caucuses with the Democrats.
10:29Catherine Cortez Masto, a Democrat from Nevada.
10:31And John Fetterman.
10:32Only Fetterman voted for the bill about a week and a half ago.
10:36Now, John Thune, the majority leader, says that he's been having some conversations with
10:40Democrats and says that some Democrats are unhappy with the situation.
10:44They don't like how Chuck Schumer is handling this.
10:47Now, how have they solved other government shutdowns?
10:50This is what's happened.
10:51You usually have some sort of an event.
10:53In other words, you get one party, they start to see the polling and they say, cry uncle,
10:58whatever, and say, OK, it's time to put out this fire.
11:00Let's reopen the government.
11:02Other times you have, say, a natural disaster or a national security situation.
11:07In 2013, there was a 16-day government shutdown over Obamacare.
11:11And there was a wild police chase and shootout with the Capitol Police here.
11:15A couple of police officers were injured.
11:17That got members to sober up and say, these officers are coming to the Capitol and working
11:22and not getting paid.
11:23Let's reopen the government.
11:24In 2018, 2019, you had concerns about aviation safety.
11:28You had air traffic controllers at LaGuardia in New York who said they weren't going to come
11:32to work.
11:33They had been working for 35 days without a paycheck.
11:37And they said, wait a minute, we might not come in.
11:39And so that reopened the government.
11:41And that gets people to sober up.
11:42You had the British prime minister.
11:44Harold McMillan said the most important factor in politics is an event.
11:47And however long this goes, probably you will have an event that will force them to reopen
11:52the government.
11:54Sean?
11:54Well, I believe Chad is always right.
11:57You can take that from the bank.
11:58Chad, thank you.
11:59All right.
11:59Here now with reaction tonight is former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
12:03This is a game that they play, but this is different this time.
12:06It's normally a clean CR everybody would go along with.
12:10That keeps spending at its current levels while they negotiate out, you know, keeping the government
12:16open, new budgets, et cetera.
12:18This is a different tactic because this is not this is not your old Democratic Party.
12:26Well, look, the simpler way to describe it is this is insanity.
12:31We know from the work we do at America's New Majority Project that there are two things the
12:37American people feel about this shutdown.
12:39One, they do not want increased spending.
12:43Two, they do not want the government closed.
12:46So what do you have?
12:47You have the Schumer shutdown where Chuck gets up and says, I'm going to close the government
12:52to get more money.
12:54Now, that means he's on the wrong side of both issues.
12:57This is not easy.
12:59But it hit me.
13:00I know you have been a New Yorker, so I hope you won't be offended.
13:04But it hit me doing talking to Maria Montefiore this morning.
13:07You have this you have this weird moment where both the House leader and the Senate leader
13:13are from New York City, a city so liberal, it's about to elect a big government socialist
13:19mayor who you could legitimately call a communist.
13:23Their world is all of these weird left winners.
13:26Now, you go west of the Hudson and you get, for example, to South Dakota with the center of
13:31Majority Leader Thune.
13:32You get to Louisiana with the Speaker of the House Johnson.
13:36They're different worlds.
13:38And I think literally Schumer and Jeffries are just totally out of touch with America.
13:45Is it they that are out of touch with America or, well, I think they are.
13:53I think they bought into the radicalization of their party.
13:57But they also know that they're really, they're leaders in name only, that they really are not
14:02the power brokers that maybe they once would have been.
14:05They're not Harry Reid.
14:07They're not Nancy Pelosi.
14:08They don't have a tight grip on on their caucus.
14:13If anything, Chuck, he's hanging by a string.
14:16Hakeem, he's he's got a little more consolidation of power, I would argue.
14:20But the reality is Chuck Schumer is probably not going to make it.
14:25I mean, he's looking at his final days as being the leader in the Senate, my view.
14:28Your thoughts.
14:30Well, Shakespeare once wrote that a brave man dies.
14:35But once a coward has a thousand deaths, you can't be, don't become a leader if you're afraid
14:42to be a leader.
14:44This is a major mistake by the Democrats.
14:47They are, they have already become a big government socialist party with weird values.
14:53Gallup has reported they have the lowest favorable rating at 34 percent in the history
14:58of the Gallup poll.
15:00Seth Keschel reports that as recently as today in New Mexico, for example,
15:04there have been 1,300 more Republicans signing up, leaving the Democrats in the last couple
15:08of weeks, three times the normal rate.
15:11So what you're seeing around the country is people are going, if that's who the Democrats
15:15are, I'm not one of them.
15:16And I think we're seeing something truly historic.
15:20And remember this, Sean, the people who are now in the Trump administration had four years
15:26in the wilderness.
15:27And that means, for example, the Russ Vought, the head of the Office of Management Budget,
15:31spent four years thinking about what should we do if there's a shutdown.
15:36So they're totally prepared for this kind of a fight.
15:39And the Democrats have no idea what's going to start hitting them on Monday.
15:44I think you're right on that.
15:46By the way, when Chuck Schumer is on the floor of the Senate making the case that the New York
15:51Times poll is biased in favor of conservatives.
15:54Okay, that might be the greatest line ever, ever uttered on the Senate floor in the history
16:00of the Senate.
16:01Speaker Gingrich, thank you.
16:03We appreciate your time.
16:04Joining us now with more on the looming shutdown, Senators Katie Britt of Alabama, Mark Wayne
16:09Mullen of Oklahoma.
16:11Senator Britt, two hours, 43 minutes and 40 seconds.
16:16Here you go.
16:17You've heard the Democrats in the past.
16:19You know what they're saying today.
16:20What happened?
16:21What changed?
16:21Look, there's no doubt why they have a 54 percent disapproval rating with the American
16:28people.
16:29It's because they just don't get it anymore.
16:31I mean, Chuck Schumer is afraid of his own shadow.
16:35And I actually think that shadow's name is AOC.
16:37So it's a dark day because I think that that's not only looming over him.
16:41It's clear it's looming over the entire Democratic Party.
16:45And today they did, once again, they did a selfish thing.
16:48Instead of thinking about putting the American people first, keeping this moving, letting
16:53us continue to do the work that people send here.
16:55And you know what they ask for in exchange for this?
16:58The very things that lost them the election on November 5th.
17:02Elections have consequences.
17:03We're trying to do the work of the American people.
17:05And unfortunately, the Democrats are the reason that the government will shut down.
17:09OK, Mark Waymon, your take and what happened.
17:13And also bring us inside, you know, what's going on on the Senate floor and the in the
17:18dark rooms in the back.
17:19What are people talking about?
17:21What are Democrats telling you privately?
17:23Well, privately, Sean, they there's there's a normal side.
17:26If there is a normal size of Democrat Party, there's a normal side that's trying to leave
17:30Chuck Schumer's leadership and say, hey, listen, this puts us in a bad position because
17:35this is a CR, the continuing resolution that they voted for a year ago.
17:40They also voted for it in December.
17:42They also voted for it in January before President Trump was sworn in.
17:45And they voted again for it in March.
17:47So they've already voted for the same CR four times.
17:50The difference is is the is the president that's in the White House.
17:53So they're saying this puts us in a bad position.
17:56And and so we we we don't want to be part of this.
17:59However, the the leadership in the Democrat Party by the name of Chuck Schumer and Hakeem
18:04Jeffries is holding the American people hostage.
18:07Why?
18:08Because they're wanting to reinstate the waste, fraud and abuse that O.B.B., one big, beautiful
18:14bill cut out.
18:15And what I mean by that is their solution to open it is is let's reinstall a reinstate
18:20one point five trillion dollars to open the government up for seven weeks so we can make
18:27sure that those illegal aliens and those illegals that came across in this country underneath
18:31Joe Biden continues to receive their benefits.
18:34And now this is the same guy, Sean, that in 1996, you know, the career politician named
18:40Chucky Schumer.
18:41He was in in 1996.
18:42He was on the House floor because he was a member of Congress at that point.
18:46And he reeled against benefits going to illegal aliens because it, quote, incentivizes them
18:53to come to the come to the to the USA illegally.
18:56So at this point, you can't make sense with someone that's lost their ever loving mind like
19:02Chuck Schumer because he's scared of AOC.
19:04All right.
19:05How does this end, Katie Britt?
19:06They seem dug in.
19:09There's no way they're getting one point five trillion dollars for reckless spending and
19:14robbing our kids and grandkids.
19:15Not going to happen.
19:16No, it's not going to happen.
19:18And eventually they will blink.
19:20They know the right thing to do is to move this forward for the American people.
19:24As Senator Mullen said, they did it time and time again, this very same bill.
19:29The only reason they're making a different change here is because of Donald Trump.
19:32Donald Trump won the hearts and minds of the American people.
19:36He won their confidence and we're going to enact his vision.
19:39So we're ready to get going and we'll be here when they finally get to do that, too.
19:45Mark Wayne Mullen prediction.
19:46How long till they cave?
19:48Well tomorrow, the military paychecks go out in full.
19:52This is from Russ who told me this.
19:54And on the second, all federal employees will get their full paycheck.
19:58What happens on the 15th and the 16th is if we're not reopened, those paychecks don't
20:05go out and the Democrats underneath Schumer shutdown is going to own it.
20:09So I think we may be able to open at the earliest, probably Monday.
20:14But I wouldn't be surprised if we run right up to that deadline on the 14th.
20:18They start getting the military pay or the military members start calling them saying
20:23to reopen.
20:24And I think they cave at that point.
20:26So hopefully it won't go that long.
20:28But I believe that's probably going to be the event that Chad was talking about that leads
20:31up to them being forced to make a to make a hard decision.
20:35That's to break from leadership.
20:37His prediction.
20:38They're going to go as long as they possibly can before they cave, because all they care
20:42about is their radical base.
20:44They have no interest in reaching out to the middle of the country and showing themselves
20:48to be reasonable.
20:49And Chuck Schumer has no choice but to give in to that radical base.
20:53We appreciate both of you.
20:56The Schumer shutdown continues, as does our coverage.
20:59Also, coming up, a bomb squad just detonated a suspicious device found at Utah State University,
21:07Turning Point USA.
21:08They're holding an event there.
21:10That's happening tonight.
21:11We'll have a live report from the event also tonight.
21:15The idea that you could turn the clock back and try to recreate a world that never was
21:22dominated by, you know, let's say it, white men.
21:31Colorado female starvers fear retaliation after filing bathroom complaints against transgender
21:36aid.
21:38Republican representative Scott Bottoms is leading the effort on behalf of three female
21:43starvers behind the complaint.
21:46Some female starvers in the Colorado capital reportedly disturbed by having to share in the
21:51women's bathroom with a biological male aid are allegedly being bullied into submission.
21:59A press conference held on the steps outside the Colorado capital on April 30th saw men and
22:06women alike coalising against the transgender ideology, both the argument at stake in a
22:12controversial bill touted as a threat to parental rights and in a case involving the starvers.
22:18They're being squished, being told to be quiet, sit down, shut up and know your place.
22:25When did we go back to that?
22:27Women no longer have rights to privacy.
22:29State representative Scott Bottoms, a Republican representing the 15th district said from the
22:35steps.
22:36I'm telling you, from me personally, enough is enough, he said.
22:42Bottoms, now a state candidate with a history of opposing progressive transgender ideology,
22:48has been trusted to lead the effort on the starvers' behalf.
22:52He finished his speech with a rallying cry to reclaim Colorado.
22:57The women involved in the case has chosen to remain anonymous out of fear of retaliation
23:03but filed a complaint after having to share a restroom with the aide they accused of making
23:07them feel uncomfortable.
23:09A copy of a formal three-page complaint letter addressed to Democratic Colorado House Speaker
23:16Julian McCluskey was provided to Fox News Digital.
23:20The document reads, in part,
23:24This transgender aide has created an environment that feels increasingly hostile and unsafe.
23:31This situation has escalated beyond a manageable level for us.
23:35The letter explains that witnessing the transgender aide entering the restroom left one of the females
23:41deeply worried for her safety and that of others.
23:45The layout of this restroom, where stall doors obscure who is present and anyone could enter
23:52after you, heightens this concern, as there's no way to know who is sharing this space.
23:58This lack of privacy and predictability has been made a routine part of our workday feeling distressing.
24:06The document continued,
24:08Bottom told Fox News Digital that state officials, particularly the Democratic-led state legislation,
24:14have failed to act on staffers' behalf.
24:17It's been something that's been building for a while, he said.
24:24Our leadership in the House holds a very pro-transgender ideology extremely so now we've got some legislative aides
24:34that have stepped up and said this is not okay. Since then, that story has started evolving.
24:40Bottom claimed the transgender aide involved in the complaint followed the other aides around stalking
24:47and threatening them through bodily language.
24:51Serving both the complaint and one of the female aides involved in the incident
24:54reaffirmed when speaking to Fox News Digital.
24:57It's an intimidation tactic. It's being done to make us feel uncomfortable, the aide said.
25:05She explained that legislative offices in a building located across from the capital are essentially divided.
25:11One side for Republicans and another side for Democrats.
25:14But the only bathroom on our floor is the Democrats side.
25:19So every time we have to go to the restroom, we have to walk over there, she added.
25:24Text messages provided the Fox News Digital show a conversation between an aide and the Office of Legislative Workplace Relations,
25:34who said the issue could be mitigated by entering the restroom in pairs, asking who is inside the bathroom before entering,
25:43walking across the street to the capital or asking their bosses if they can work remotely.
25:49Fox News Digital reached out to the office for comment and to request further information surrounding any investigation,
25:57but did not receive a response in time for publication.
26:03Representative Bottoms also said the women at the centre of the complaint risk losing their jobs should they decide to speak out without anonymity.
26:12They are harassing them, they are bullying them, he said, of what he branded as a leftist Marxist Democrat from the state.
26:24Right wing's social media account, Libs of TikTok, also posted about the incident in March,
26:30claiming multiple female staffers had reached out, complaining about having to share a bathroom with the aide.
26:35They have tried asking legislators to do something, but the Democrat controlled legislation has failed to act, the polls read in part.
26:47This is a disgusting violation of female only private spaces.
26:52The aide who spoke to Fox News Digital claims the retaliation worsened after Libs of TikTok post went public, a post reiterated in the official complaint letter.
27:02The letter states that none of the female staffers slash aides have any knowledge of who shared the information with Libs of TikTok,
27:10but the transgender aide approached one of the females and pressured her to reveal who had leaked the information, leaving her distraught.
27:17As the situation escalated, the female staffers met with the Office of Legislative Workplace Relations where according to the complaint,
27:27they were soon offered some avenues to address their complaints, including that they find a different restroom to use.
27:34These solutions placed a burden on us to adapt rather than addressing the root issue, the letter states.
27:42Those with contrary opinions point to state laws to support their claims, arguing that transgender individuals have an enshrined right to use whichever sex-segregated space corresponds with their gender identity.
27:58The ACLU Colorado for instance writes that the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act which prohibits discrimination in public spaces based on sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression legally enables transgender individuals to use public bathrooms and other sex-segregated spaces that align with their gender identity.
28:22The ACLU Colorado for instance is a very important part of the
