00:10resolution to fund the government until November the 21st.
00:15The President is ready to sign it.
00:19The Senate Democrats, they're standing in the way.
00:29This is ready to pass right now.
00:32This keeps the government open.
00:34This funds the government and protects federal workers and the American people from the hostage
00:40taking that has become evidently now the Democrat norm, even though it's something they decried
00:48not that many years ago.
00:55It's the Democrats' far-left base and far-left senators have demanded a showdown with the
01:04President.
01:05And the Democrat leaders have bowed to their demands.
01:09And apparently, apparently the American people just have to suffer the consequences.
01:21And so Democrats have a choice to make.
01:24They can shut down the government and subject the American people to all the problems that
01:27come with the shutdown, many of which, as I said, they've enumerated in the countless
01:31quotes they've made in the past.
01:35Or they can join Republicans to pass a clean, nonpartisan, short-term funding bill and keep
01:41the government's lights on.
01:44I thank the leader for letting me borrow his chart for a minute.
01:53So he's pointed to each of these bar graphs, percentage of Democratic senators who are supported
01:58by CRSs.
01:59Yes, that's true.
02:00Guess why?
02:01In each case, Democrats negotiated with Republicans and said, let's have a bipartisan bill.
02:12The leader says it's a clean bill.
02:14It's a partisan bill.
02:16Not once were Democrats asked for what input should be in the bill.
02:21We were not told about it.
02:23We were not asked about it, etc.
02:25What we do all the time around here is witness by the chart that you're just using there.
02:31We stand at the precipice of a government shutdown because Republicans are not serious about keeping
02:38the government open.
02:46Too many Republicans are lying through their teeth.
02:50They say, oh, the Democrats want undocumented immigrants to get health care, to get the
02:57federal dollars of health care.
02:58That is utter bull.
03:00And they know it.
03:04The law, the law prohibits undocumented immigrants from getting payments from Medicare, Medicaid,
03:11or the ACA.
03:12There's no money, not a penny, of federal dollars that are going there.
03:18So why do they bring this up?
03:19Because they're afraid to talk about the real issue, which is health care for American citizens.
