00:00YouTube has agreed to pay $24.5 million to settle a lawsuit brought by Donald Trump after
00:05his account was suspended in the aftermath of the January 6th Capitol attack in 2021.
00:11Of that sum, $22 million will go to the Trust for the National Mall to help fund Trump's
00:16planned White House ballroom, and the rest will be distributed to other plaintiffs, such
00:21as the American Conservative Union and Naomi Wolf.
00:24However, it is worth noting, YouTube has not admitted wrongdoing and will make no changes
00:29to platform policies under the settlement.
